Convenient to all island activities and services, accessed by walking, biking or NRTA bus service that stops out on Bartlett Road at 20 minute intervals. Open living/dining room with glass slider to deck with teak dining set, umbrella, Weber grille for easy outdoor dining. Gas log fireplace in living room. Fully equipped kitchen with bar sink. Dishwasher, disposal, microwave, gas stove, coffeemaker, refrigerator with ice maker and glass sliders to deck. TV room with Wi-Fi (185 channels), queen sleep sofa, large closet. First floor bedroom with twin beds, large closet. Pak and Play available. Full shower bath with well supplied linen closet & washer/dryer, exhaust fan, auxiliary heater and nightlight. Supply closet with paper goods, bath & hand soap, dishwasher/pods, coffee filters. Vacuum cleaner, broom and Swiffer available. 2 bedrooms on second floor: Master with queen bed, large closet and ceiling fan, bunkroom with 2 bunkbeds, large closet, ceiling fan & extra mattresses. Shared full bath with tub/shower, auxiliary heater & exhaust fan. Outdoor shower on deck. Private patio with firepit. Shed with beach chairs, beach umbrella and assorted beach toys, croquet, horseshoes, and boogie boards. Eight beach towels provided. Clothesline & clothespins. Private, peaceful, 1/2 acre setting with room for games and hanging out, less than a mile to Stop & Shop, pizza restaurants, Sea Grille, Island Kitchen & other restaurants. Mile & half to Nantucket Town shopping, many restaurants and activities. Available walking, biking or by 10 minute bus ride. Miacomet public golf course and restaurant a 10 minute bike ride. A 5 minute walk from house to hiking trail at end of Miacomet Road & a 35 -40 minute rustic beautiful very private walk through Conservation land, past Miacomet pond to Miacomet Beach. Driveway accommodates up to 4 cars. Car and bike rentals available with easy delivery to house. 10-15 minute bike ride to Surfside, Miacomet, and Cisco beaches, Cisco Brewery, Bartlett Farm.

We had a wonderful week in Nantucket. The property is as described and very charming. The proximity to the bus stop was a huge convince. Recommend renting bikes and riding to the beach. Would love to return!

Great stay. The home is beautiful and very well appointed. The upstairs bunk room can get very warm on warm days. An ac unit would be appreciated by all. The pull out in the tv room is rough on the body too. Just not enough padding between your body and the springs. We loved our stay. We loved the location to our family and quick access to Nobadeer beach. Easy drive into town also.

Wedding weekend in Nantucket

The house was perfect for four adults and two children, ages 5 and 8. Children’s room has two bunk beds to sleep 4 and windows have child guards. House is comfortable with an easy open layout on the first floor between kitchen, dining area and living room. The location of the house was also great - just a few minutes from center of town and beaches, golf and Bartlett’s Farm. Owner was accessible by phone and very kind. We would definitely return and ask for this house.

We just returned from a week at this beautiful family beach-house on Nantucket. Our expectations were exceeded. Jere was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while we were there. The house was nicely stocked, extremely clean, well organized and very spacious. The amenities were fantastic and included a beautiful brand new state of the art outdoor grill, new kitchen appliances, and a FUN outdoor fire pit for s'mores! The shed was stocked with everything we needed for days at the beach. This home is beautiful and perfect for a large family. A true GEM....we made lots of wonderful memories and cant wait to return! Thank you again for sharing your home Jere!!

Family vacation home

We enjoyed our trip to Nantucket! We had a few hiccups but unrelated to the house, and Jere was very supportive. The kitchen is clean and new and was really well stocked. Most of our group used the outdoor shower instead of the indoor shower, even though that was nicely redone too. Outdoor spaces are great. The only thing I would suggest for travelers looking to rent this house, is to rent chairs and an umbrella. The owner does have some but maybe not enough for a big group. Just something to think about. Other than that, this is a well loved family home that is nothing fancy but perfectly perfect for a family vacation.

We had a great stay! The house is a good size for a family or group. It is well maintained and the new kitchen and bath are beautiful and fully equipped. Location was very convenient as well - minutes to town, Stop & Shop and beaches, and right on the bike trail. We would love to stay again!

Center Of It All

We absolutely loved everything about this place. A little review: 1) Center of island so you could access all the great stuff with little effort (we biked 2 days to 'Sconset, 1 day to Madaket, 5 days to Surfside, 4 times downtown, among many other adventures). 2) The outdoor shower is heavenly!!!! 3) Great common area with kitchen/dining room/family room all together. 4) Awesome outdoor fire-it 5) Very helpful owners 6) Lots of amenities.

a lovely retreat

The house was clean and comfortable and the owner a pleasure to work with. The house was convenient to beach, Bartlett's Farm, transportation, a quiet walk along Miacomet Pond to the south shore, bike paths, and town. We particularly appreciated the landscaped garden area surrounded by hydrangeas with umbrella covered seating area with firepit. Charming!!

Everything you need in a great location!

We were 2 young families staying at the house - 2 couples and 4 kids (5, 4, 3, 1 yrs). Location has easy access to both town and beach with car or bike. Bartlett's farm is easy by bike or car and there is a playground for kids - not to mention the good food and groceries. We rented a bikes and trailer and the kids had a blast on the bike paths to and from town/beach. Our days had great weather and so we spent most of the time at the beach and the outdoor shower made cleaning the kids very easy and fun. Great owners who had everything at the house we needed for the week. We brought food with a car and did more meals in than most probably will, but Jere and Liz have done a good job outfitting the house with all the equipment you need to enjoy a week on Nantucket. The house has a nice deck for outdoor eating with grill. 2 bathrooms was key for our crew, wonderful sea breezes at night though the many windows, there is a gas fire place should you have any chilly nights. All in 2 thumbs up from everyone!

We have vacationed on Nantucket for 35 years and have owned the house since 2010. We spend as much time as possible on the island, including winter, and would like to share our Nantucket experience with as many as possible as we love the island and all it has to offer for everyone in the family.

Why they chose this property

It's a fully equipped beach house that was constructed as an all season residence in 1987. It is centrally located between town and south shore beaches and is immediately accessible to the Surfside/Miacomet shuttle running every 20 minutes in summer and to a paved bike trail, part of island-wide biking trails. A very short walk leads to a wonderful conservation land walking trail passing Miacomet Pond and leading to the open Atlantic at Miacomet beach and a small beach at the ocean side tip of Miacomet Pond. (Great for small children.) 5 minute drive to Miacomet golf course with driving access and parking past the golf course at Miacomet beach. It is entirely accessible to all sorts of wonderful recreation activities, services and amenities.Our house serves as a peaceful respite, and also as a great jumping off point for all island activities!

What makes this property unique

Our house is in a beautiful and pristine neighborhood. It is open and airy but can be made cozy and warm when you want it to be. The deck provides privacy and comfort for leisurely dining and relaxing. Recent patio has just added a fire pit. Large yard provides ample space for outside activities. The home is in such a great location for easy access to all the island has to offer, whether by walking, biking, driving or by using the public transportation just steps away from home. You are welcome to use beach chairs, and beach umbrella on your beach excursions.
