Guestbook comments from the owner

"Thank you so much for offering us such a beautiful house in which to spend my 50th birthday. As everyone else has said, "it has absolutely everything in it and is a real home.

The boys especially loved the comfy beds and I loved sitting out on the deck in the sunshine first thing in the morning.

We recommend dining at the Girl & the fig, sunflower Cafe and Maya

Cycle around the vineyards, avoid Viansa winery 'tour" was anything but. we found Napa overpriced so much returned to this side of the valley!"

PS we're very sad to be leaving

Wonderful weekend!

Visited the area for my wife's birthday. House and property was immaculate.

Great location with a swimming pool filled with warm "bath" water. Had a great time and would stay there again. Highly recommend this property!

Secluded and gorgeous

What an amazing home away from home! The house was clean and comfortable, with a modern and inviting decorating scheme. The pool was fantastic, too . . . I wish we were still there!

I recently stayed here ( June 2017) with 3 girlfriends, celebrating a 40th birthday. This place is incredible! Like many have said before, the photos do not do it justice. It's immaculate, and so clean...with beautiful furniture, rugs, finishes, etc...and incredibly comfortable beds. 2 of us are going to try and recreate the same look on our beds at home. The kitchen is well stocked with a great gas stove and the layout is great. And the outside space....perfection. Lots of different areas to relax in and we enjoyed many afternoons just floating in the pool. It's super private, and you can't see any neighbours...just the Pear orchard and the sound of birds. You won't regret your visit. Can't wait to come back to Sonoma and I will be booking here again.

Stunning Sonoma Sanctuary

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from 3 blissful days at this beautiful home and cannot wait for our next stay. At the outset, Stephanie was very responsive and easy to deal with. She sent check-in and check-out instructions for the home a few weeks prior, and gave excellent directions to the home. When we arrived, there was a bottle of Rose and a small jar of homemade jam on the table, which was such a sweet touch.

The home description and photographs are accurate, but do not do this gorgeous home enough justice! The house is impeccably maintained and very clean. The kitchen is spacious, with high-end appliances and every kitchen gadget you could want or need. There is a nice eat-in area with a 4 person table in the kitchen with a big window opening to the front yard.

The combination dining room (with a very large table) and living room, with a couch and chairs, was perfect for meals we were not eating outside or relaxing after the quiet hours. (All wine country rentals have a strict 10 p.m. quiet hour start time.) The décor in the home was quite eclectic and unique.

Each of the 3 bedrooms were well appointed with very comfortable beds and pillows. The room with the twin beds was perfect for our 3 year old and 5 year old, and the master suite worked great for our friends and their 1 year old son who slept in a pack-and-play. The 3rd bedroom worked well for my husband and I, and felt spacious. The hall bathroom is well appointed, although there were not enough towels for 4 people. (I am sure there were extra towels somewhere, we just couldn't find them.)

The piece de resistance of this property is definitely the back yard. It is such a serene, inviting space. There are ample seating areas: a small table with four chairs next to the pool; 4 Adirondack chairs and a table next to a beautiful tree; an outdoor couch and two armchairs with another table on the patio; four lounge chairs on the patio; and a large outdoor dining table under an umbrella. The potted red flowers throughout the backyard were so lovely and an excellent contrast to the green shrubbery.

The pool was warmed to the perfect temperature for both us and our kids. The finish on the pool is very smooth, without being slippery. The entire pool is the same depth (about 3.5 feet) which was perfect for adults and kids alike.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful property. Book it! You won't regret it.

Beautiful place to celebrate a special occasion

  • 5 of 5

I celebrated my 50th birthday here with my husband and sons (20 and 17). We all loved it. The photos of this property do not do it justice - it is beautifully and tastefully decorated, immaculately clean and full of everything you could ever possibly want or need in a holiday home. Just coming through the front door, my shoulders went down a few inches. The property is a little way out of Sonoma but is very convenient for touring the area and heading downtown. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a real home from home in a beautiful, tranquil location. By the way, we all agree best beds we've ever slept in (that weren't our own!)
