Wonderfully relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Everything the pictures convey and more. If big water view is what you're looking for, this is it! If getting away from it all, enjoying sunrises and sunsets, is what you're needing, then this is for you. We had a wonderful time at "A Fine Cabin" - leaving only early on for groceries! Our teens loved being in the water, jumping off the deck and swimming until they were water-logged. we cooked in, rented a pontoon boat from the marina, enjoyed blue skies and then rainy skies. This long weekend was a total "Stress Buster". Highly recommend and hope to return.

Amazing views!! A piece of heaven on earth! Loved the mountains in background ..

  • 5 of 5

We were overwhelmed with joy when we walked on property for first time! Our family had an old fashion fun vacation! The lake was truly beautiful and clearer than I expected!! The mountains in background and clear blue water were worth the trip!

The house was more rustic than we planned but by the first day we loved it!

Thanks for sharing home with us!!!

Loved our perfect little cabin on the lake for July 4th wkd!

  • 4 of 5

We spent the July 4th weekend at this little slice of heaven across from the Marina with an amazing view of the fireworks. When we pulled into the gates my family didn't know what to expect but once we pulled up to the house and saw the outdoor space they were WOW'd! We loved sitting by the firepit at night and jumping off the dock and swimming in the quiet cove area. We enjoyed the grill and comfy outdoor seating up top. The huge window in the front of the house overlooking the lake was perfect. The beds were comfy and kitchen was clean and had everything we needed for family dinners complete with a huge table in the next room with the view of the lake.

The cabin is cute and a bit old school. But worked fine for our family. We had 2 couples and 4 kids. The sleeping for the kids was tight but totally fine! The showers were tiny but served their purpose. We would totally go back and rent this cabin! We have GREAT memories from our 4 night stay there!!!

Perfect Lake Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Secluded, quiet antique cabin on the water of Blue Ridge Lake in north Georgia. Mesmerizing water views from the enclosed sun porch running the length of the house including lots of water entertainment watching boats, jet skis, kayaks and paddle boarders (all which we understand are rentable at the marina across the lake). Also included a large flock of geese that swam by every day and a seaplane that did multiple takeoffs and landings one day, which was cool to watch. The interior of the cabin was all wood paneling with modern appliances in the kitchen and wonderful top of the line mattresses on queen size beds in the two main bedrooms. We slept great! We hung out on the floating dock A LOT with a sunny upper deck for sunbathing and shady lower deck for fishing (and boats/jet ski parking) and a ladder to get out of the water after a swim. Spent the rest of the time on the porch in comfy cushy rocking chairs gazing at the view, reading, and working on a book we are writing. No internet but satellite television if you need entertainment or news. Also had redwood chairs ringing a fire pit, grill and patio furniture outside so lots of different places to relax and enjoy the view. Also had a 3rd bedroom upstairs with 2 twin beds and a mattress for bunking on the living room floor -- hence the "sleeps 8" description. Two bathrooms with very narrow metal shower stalls were probably the only negative, and the washer/dryer was in the cellar accessible only from the outside, which we did not use. The cabin was in the shade most of the day, so very comfortable even with 90+ degree temps outside. Easy to navigate into town for a restaurant meal or to the grocery with one main road, plus a bait shop and farmer's market less than a mile away. It was perfect for a get-away writer's retreat and totally relaxing. We plan to go back!

Little Slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Our family had the most amazing time at this beautiful retreat! This beautiful cabin is secluded yet not remote, making you feel like you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle but also being a short drive away from the grocery store, marina, and shops and restaurants in the adorable downtown Blue Ridge.

the house itself had the best view on the lake facing straight towards the mountains yet is still tucked back in its own little cove making it a great and SAFE place for the kids to swim without boat traffic getting too close to the house or dock. The inside of the cabin retains the historical integrity of its 1938 origin yet has been updated for modern use and was very clean. The dock and outdoor entertaining areas were both relaxing and fun. We visited with four adults and four young girls ages 2-9 and they all had a blast swimming all day and making smores by the campfire at night. They also had the best time sleeping in the secluded little loft space.

I highly recommend this house to all those seeking a carefree, no fuss, retreat!
