Weekend getaway

We had a lovely stay. My husband and I brought our toddler to the beach for the first time, which was very conveniently located a short walk from the property. The host is very responsive and flexible, which we appreciated, and their home is cozy, comfortable and has a great backyard.

Just amazing!

This house was perfect. It was so welcoming, very clean and comfortable. The location was great for beach, vineyards, and town. We enjoyed the new patio and screened in porch. The owners were so kind and easy to communicate with. They gave us a lovely welcoming package with fun tips on things to do. Just a wonderful place.

Comfortable & Reasonably priced

My husband & 2 teenage daughters stayed here for a wedding in Greenport. Since we are from Georgia we decided to take some extra time to explore the area. The house was lovely, had everything we needed for our stay & was in a perfect location to see the area. The owners were expeditious with responding to any questions we had during our stay. Our family that stayed at a hotel in Greenport was ever so envious of our place!

Our magical place

This home is truly our magical place. We find such fun, adventure & serenity when we visit. The beaches- bay & sound are lovely & perfect for kayaking, shell collecting & reconnecting with each other & nature. This house- well, I cannot say enough as to its loveliness. It has such a beautiful, European vibe to it. I believe this is our fourth trip here. We love the surrounding towns, little shops, vineyards, restaurants & more. My husband, son & I are looking to many more visits. Thank you Jennifer & Stan!

Perfect!

This home is a true gem! My husband, young daughter, and I spent a wonderful two weeks here, and we could not have been happier with the house and its location. It was spotless, comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped, and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful (great recommendations for restaurants, wineries, and so on). There’s a lovely, sandy beach just a short walk down the street, and the house is conveniently located very close to a grocery store, restaurants, nature preserves/hikes, and many wineries. Even though our trip was during the middle of the global pandemic, I expect we will look back on it with fond memories for many years.

Beach house bliss

Jennifer and Stan are the best hosts for this terrific, well stocked house with delightful permanent touches that make it feel like a true home, not a rental. My husband, 27 year old daughter and I were already familiar with the area, but we discovered new pleasures including Aldos Coffee, Noah’s for lobster rolls, and Deep Roots organic farm. Biking a loop around the peninsula was a scenic 7 mile trip. We picked vegetables from their garden and found the birds, a plethora of flowering plants, and a forest of trees in the back yard the perfect place to read, relax, and restore. Location was perfect—quiet and secluded yet 1/4 mile from a peaceful sand beach on the bay. We would definitely return!

An absolute gem!

This charming house has it all! It is spacious & cozy & just up the road from our favorite Southold beach. It is close to some of our favorite vineyards (Mcalls & Mattebella) & to our new favorite spot, The Greenport Brewery. It’s a short car ride to Greenport where we love to visit the restaurants, the shops & of course the carousel. Owner, Jennifer provided a packet of information detailing the area. While we are familiar with the North Fork, we always like to try something new. Having this reference made it super easy to try new wineries, fish markets & beaches. We had a lovely time. The weather was beautiful! The week flew by. We paddled daily & enjoyed nature. Thank you Jennifer for the Custer Institute tip. We’ve missed it in the past. It was a cloudy night but we did get to see two planets & the moon. Our son was thrilled! Without your reminder we would’ve missed it. All of us just love your home. While we love exploring nature, it was so comforting to end each day & unwind in this tasteful, elegant home. The beds are incredibly comfortable & the many sweet details enhance the pampered experience. We will certainly be back! ~Dawn, James, Ryan & Family

Loved it!

Jennifer’s place is a gem! The house is lovely and has everything you need for a great time in Southold. It is very clean and the location couldn’t be better. A stone’s throw from the beach, vineyards and one of the best farm stands in the area. (This beach is especially great for swimming w young kids as it is on the bay side where the water is not rough). And Jennifer is a wonderful host. She was easy to communicate with, extremely helpful and friendly. My family and I hope to be able to stay here again next time we are in the Northfork!

A Wonderful Stay, Beyond Our expectations!

It is hard to know where to begin in giving our experience of our stay for one month in Jennifer and Stan's wonderful, inviting and extremely comfortable home. My husband and I had never been to the North Fork so we had no idea what to expect. We fell in love and Southport and Jen and Stan's home, are a perfect place to experience all of the beauty that the area has to offer. The pictures of their home are completely accurate. But what you don't see are the lovely and thoughtful touches that are provided for you by your hosts! There are fabulous soaps and lotions to use, all basic food staples and all cleaning products etc. As a couple who has rented many homes over the years these touches are greatly appreciated. In additon, anything we need Jen and Stan were quick to supply and help out with. One had the sense that there was nothing they would not do to make your stay comfortable. The area has much to offer but for us top of the list was the utter peace and quiet of reuturning home from the day to the house. For beach lovers there is a lovely family beach right down the road where one can have a lovely swim. Jen and Stan also provide a very helpful and detailed list of places to eat, wineries, etc so you have a lot of information about the area available to you. We would not hesitate to stay here again when in the North Fork.

Another amazing stay!

Once again, we enjoyed a beautiful week in this charming home. Rain or shine there is plenty to experience in the surrounding towns or simply pausing & playing board games with our family. We spend our days kayaking & paddle boarding just down the road at tranquil South Harbor Beach. Evenings we choose one of the many fabulous local eateries to taste the local fare & sip some local wine. Once again, one of our favorite vacations of the year! The owners present a cozy home equipped with all that we could need for a fulfilling stay. We’ve been visiting the North Fork for years & out of all the homes we’ve rented, this is our favorite. Thank you, Jennifer & Stan for thinking of everything! We’ll be back!

Sublime retreat

This was all we wanted and more: spotless, peaceful, well-equipped and loaded with charm. Jennifer and Stan, our hosts, were kind, patient and responsive. The location was perfect—a five-minute walk to a quiet bay beach and an easy drive to myriad vineyards and restaurants and the interesting little towns of the North Fork. We did not want to leave. Highly recommended.
