The Space:
This four bedroom, three bath home in Vanderhorst Plantation has hardwood flooring, large decks, a gas grill, and a private pool (not heated)! This home is surrounded by woods and is just a short bike ride to the beach. With an open floor plan, this home can accommodate up to nine guests with one king, two queens, one twin, and one set of bunk beds (with twin mattresses). Five televisions and wireless internet access allow you to stay connected during your visit.

This non-smoking vacation rental property includes parking, 24-hour security in a gated community, central air conditioning, cable TV, internet, a DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, linens and bath towels, a departure housekeeping service and a starter supply of paper products and detergents.

Beautiful home and great location

Had a wonderful vacation. House was great. Very nice location for all bike rides and amenities. Another wonderful kiawah stay!

Peaceful

Great home and layout for parents with smaller kids. Bunk room is right beside of master for added peace of mind. We loved the layout. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The decks and porch are wonderful. We loved the pool as well. We were thrilled with our stay here. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean.

Great island getaway...very secluded and private. Distance to beach is quite far without near parking so bikes are a must. House is spacious but bathrooms and kitchen coukd use an update--especially the range which wirks poorly. Property manager very helpful. Overall, relaxing vacation

Great space to hang out with family. Nature walks, beach, bike rides, and shopping. Most important, comfortable beds! Check in and out a breeze. Immediate answers to any questions. Highly recommend.

Cleaning

The Master bathroom had hair on the side of the toilet and the tub had hair as well as the floor but otherwise, it was very clean. I love it here and will stay again

Beautiful house!!

Really enjoyed our stay on Belted Kingfisher!! Pool was so much bigger and nicer than it appeared online. Plenty big enough for our immediate family of four and 3 grand parents. Never could get the dvd player to work in the family room even after maintenance came out , appeared that remote was missing. All in all it was a great trip, probably our 10 th rental property and would definitely rent again. Happy Holidays 😀

We had a wonderful time. The house is lovely, open and spacious!

We had a great time. We didn’t see any bugs! (As some of the reviews mentioned!) The owners also had put starter supplies in all the bathrooms and kitchen. The house was well stocked. The dishwasher broke while we were there - but the rental company sent someone out to try to fix it - but they were unable. The house is very nice - one unexpected thing - one of the queen bedrooms has its bathroom across the foyer - by the front door - the bedroom has glass doors - which have a thin curtain - but doesn’t offer enough privacy for another married couple! It is also bit far from the beach - but I would recommend this house! ☺️ It was very comfortable - especially for the price!

Beautiful home, but skimpy on amenities

First impression of the house was that it was very roomy and spacious! It was nicely decorated and cozy. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed it, but not without our share of complaints. I think the biggest complaint that renters should be aware of is the roaches. Soooo many roaches. We first noticed them in the master bathroom. I saw two crawling around and immediately called my fiancé to take care of the situation. I didn’t think too much of it since we are on a secluded island, there will be bugs. But then they kept coming. We noticed them more and more and one night, while we were eating outside, a swarm of about 50 of them show up to gone us. Eeek! The property manager called to ask how we were enjoying our stay and when I told them about the roaches they simply said it must be getting close their monthly spray. Now let me review the stay room by room. Outdoor area: the outdoor area is really nice. Plenty of space for a large family to sit and eat. The pool was nice, but dirty. There was trash left by previous guests by the pool and there are no cushions for the pool layout chairs so you will be laying on hard wood. Also, no floats or pool toys. When I asked the manager about it she told me we could buy them at the store. We flew down from New York and weren’t about to go buy a pool floats we couldn’t bring back. But having one here would have been nice. Also, no beach towels so you have to use the towels that were supplied for the bathroom. And if you want to wash them in the washing machine, good luck! When booking the house, we were told that laundry detergent would be supplied. They left ONE tide pod. So we had to really plan how/when to do our one load that we were allowed. The kitchen: the kitchen is big and spacious with all the kitchen equipment you will need. Plenary of plates, bowls, cups, ect. They left us with one roll of the cheapest paper towels you could possibly find which we went through in one evening. The dishwasher worked great and the table is large enough for everyone. The living room: big and cozy! We loved hanging out here. The tv is a smart tv so you can cuddle up and watch Netflix! The bedroom: we really only stayed in the master suit. It was spacious and the bed was cozy. My fiancé and I both didn’t care for the pillows on the bed. They felt cheap and were far too firm. Overall, the house was nice but with no outdoor cushions by the pool no pool floats, super cheap paper towels, one tide pod, it felt skimpy

We especially like the fact it has its own pool so when we have been out on the beach or just enjoying the island we can get back and relax by the pool! It's perfect! The house is nicely decorated and there is all you need in the house to be comfortable and functional.

It wasn't bad, but could have been better

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a nice home. It was much further from the beach than we had anticipated. When we arrived there was trash all over the front yard. Our first evening we tried to barbque and the grill went on fire. BeachWalker Rentals responded promptly to both issues. The pool was great & refreshing but the pool deck had lifted away from the pool in one corner. It wasn't a problem for us as we didn't have young children however it could be a big issue if you do. Finally, we had a BIG bug issue. There were both Palmetto Bugs & roaches! When we called the rental company they came out right away & sprayed. Very happy with Beachwalker but I wouldn't rent this house again.

The rental property was very well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked with the things you need to cook with. However the property had two big drawbacks. First and most disappointing the 2nd main bedroom bath is not attached to the bath. In fact it is right in the front entrance hall and very small and the adults staying in that bedroom had to walk outside the bedroom past the front entrance to use the bathroom. Also not having access to the garage was a big disadvantage when you carry a lot of beach gear and when we just happened to arrive in the eye of a tropical storm and had to unload outside in a downpour. Otherwise it was a very nice property but the bathroom situation would prevent me from renting it again or recommending it. Very poor design.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I currently live in East Tennessee. Smokey mountains are a 45 min scenic drive from my home town. I grew up in the south,raised on the Atlantic coast in the charmer little town called Savannah, Ga. I had a few friends that visited Kiawah,island long before it was ever developed. And heard how beautiful and private it was. I love the south: even though it plays havoc on your hair. A dab of makeup goes along way and we adjust to th humitity. Mascara, a light blush and lipstick is all a lady needs after an hour at the spa and Two hours of spf 60 sun glow from above. 207 is a beautiful destination. A great vacation for fun and family. I think my only complaint would be that the guests should have the option to rent a leaf blower or be advised to bring their on due to the constant oak leaf debre Some trees could be cut to allow more sun on pool time. Needless to say I loved this house and would rent again if I had garage privileges to park my black car out of direct sun. And a better pool maintenance company that really cared.
