Over priced.

It was listed as a house but it was the upstairs of the owners house. It was poorly ventilated and contained mould and dust. We rented it for 6 nights but could only stay for 3 as I have asthma. The owners have access to the property by internal doors locked from their side only which was unexpected. The owner is nice but wouldn't recommend.

Quiet and peaceful stay. Nice sitting outside having my.morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine, watching the fishing from shore. Was happy with my unit and surprised there was more than one. Should upgrade the hairdryer, has seen better days..Mahalo for sharing

We had the most incredible stay at this property! The location is truly unmatched—practically sitting right on the ocean, with the sound of waves crashing against the lava stones as a constant, soothing backdrop. Waking up to the sound of the surf and enjoying our morning coffee while watching the waves was an experience we’ll never forget.The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Magical Kailua

This beautiful little one bedroom apartment was magical. Right on Kailua Bay, the waves crashing right out side your window. The white sand beaches are not far away, and we spent time there every afternoon. The bathroom had all the latest in fixtures, and the small kitchen was sufficient for our needs - including a freezer with lots of ice. We loved being there in Kailua, and sleeping next to the waves was truly amazing.

Beautiful location

First the great!: Beautiful, quiet location, residential, so not crawling with tourists. Easy to find. Not a far drive to a wonderful walking beach. The seawall was about 100 feet from back of house, so we had intimate views of the ocean, often very strong waves. Could not swim off this area. One day, we watched turtles for over 1 hour coming to surface about 60 yards out and then go back down to feed. Grocery and a few restaurants within 5 m, many others 12-15m out. Kitchen mostly served our needs (see below) Community golf course 15 minutes away (bring your own clubs-they rent them for $55!). Host on site. Lovely. (See below) Pool very nice and always available when we wanted to swim. Gliches: washer broke down while we were there. Fixed day before we left. That's life. Would have been easy to access. Though we had rain nightly, it was rarely during the day. Temps varied night and day by only 5-6 degrees, so always pleasant. However, the rainspout outside our patio was taken down to allow visitors to have a clear view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the rain came pouring unto our patio, soaking furniture, so we really couldn't enjoy sitting out much. The living room furniture is not comfortable to sit and relax after a long day of exploring. Kitchen did not have convection oven that was shown when we reviewed property. This did change our meal plans. The microwave had some convection properties, just more complicated. Stairs to unit steep and narrow.

Just what we needed! Don't let the size scare you away. We had plenty of space for the two of us. The view of the ocean was priceless. The homeowners were very helpful and we loved coming home to kitties in the drive every night. It felt like we were at home.

Wonderful ocean breeze

We stayed while looking for a place for our kids to relocate to Oahu. The property was a perfect respite from the daily searches. The pool was fabulously refreshing. The host was very communicative and lovely to interact with. We would absolutely return again!

Modern, private and stunningly beautiful right on the ocean. Short drive into Kailua. We loved the quiet. Great attention to detail. Very modern. Perfect size for 2. There was a loft with another bed that we did not use. Pool is shared with owner and other unit. We used it and enjoyed it. We rented this unit as our first stop to get into the Hawaii groove and it ended up being our favorite spot on the whole trip. No beach as others have said. There are great beaches in the area. Did the Pillbox hike! Check it out for sure. THANK YOU!

The place was perfect

Very cozy and quant, very comfy for a small romantic getaway. Having the windows open n you get the breeze off the water and the sound of the waves crashing. It was perfect. Nicely updated without overdoing it. The Hosts also do a very nice job of making sure anything you could need is in the unit.

Smooth and easy

Pretty house, friendly cat, cold pool (in January, so...) no stove only microwave should be in bold on listing. I loved walking the beach even if there's not much of it. Windward side of island gets more rain but there's plenty to see...(botanical gardens, SeaLife Park) gorgeous sunrises.
