Andrea is a lovely host and very friendly. She is very thoughtful, and adds a few more (personal) items for your use - just in case you have forgotten something. The rental is actually larger than it looks in the pics, and very cozy. Thank you Andrea! We really enjoyed our stay

This place is in a great location and felt so homey! The bed is so comfortable! Having a washer and dryer ( I hung our clothes to dry though) was an added bonus.Thank you for opening your home. It was perfect for us! Loved having the beach stuff right there to use!Andrea and her husband were a delight to talk to as well.And she always got right back to me when I had a question!

A great stay in Kailua

Andrea is a great host. The studio is perfect for two. We were grateful for the recliner chairs as we rested in the evening before sleep. Andrea is the perfect host making sure all our needs were met. Close to the beach with everything needed for a day at the beach. We will book again

Amazing stay and host

Andrea’s place is perfect! It’s closer to the restaurants and the beautiful beaches. She was very welcoming and check in process was smooth.

Comfortable space in a great location

This property had everything we needed and was at most a 5 minute walk from the beach (you could hear the waves from the private outdoor seating space). The bed was also very comfortable, and they even have boogie boards and beach chairs for you to borrow. I would definitely stay here again!

Great home base, lovely spot

I enjoyed my stay very much. The place has a great location for reaching beaches, hikes, and shops easily and quickly. Andrea was welcoming and easy going, and the studio had everything I needed to enjoy the beach during the day and chill out in the evenings— including a private backyard! Would love to return someday.

Close to the Beach

We just spent 12 days at this location and wanted to thank Andrea for her hospitality. It is close to beautiful Kailua beach and my wife jogged there everyday. The room was lovely and we were grateful for the amenities. The washer/dryer, large refrigerator, beach chairs and umbrella, were all a part of making our stay easier and more enjoyable.

ここで3泊してカイルアを満喫しました。建物自体は古いですが、よく手入れされていてきれいで快適でした。洗濯機と乾燥機が部屋にあるのは最高。毎日の洗濯の手間が省けました。常備品の電熱ヒーターはパワー不足でお湯が沸騰しなかったのでラーメンは電子レンジで作りました。お湯を沸かすのも常備品の計量カップを使い、電子レンジでチン。電子レンジバンザイ！唯一気になったのは音漏れ。隣の部屋の大家さん家族の声や音が聞こえてきます。こちらの音で迷惑をかけないように気を遣いました。ホテルの無いカイルアでの滞在先としてはベストだと思います。[English translation]We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed Kailua very much.The house itself is old, but well maintained, clean and comfortable.It was great to have a washer and dryer in the room. It saved me the trouble of doing laundry every day.The electric heater was not powerful enough to boil water, so we made ramen in the microwave. We also used a measuring cup to boil water by microwave. Hooray for microwaves!The only thing that bothered us was the sound leakage. We could hear the voices and sounds of the owner's family in the next room. We were careful not to bother them with our noise.I think this is the best place to stay in Kailua, where there are no hotels.

Peaceful and relaxing Hawaii getaway!

We always enjoy staying at Andrea Kailua's property. This is our 5th time staying with her. We have everything that we need to enjoy our Hawaii trip at this large studio unit. There's a nice size place to cook both indoor and outdoor, laundry area, relaxing 2 recliners, firm & comfortable bed, and large closet/storage. There're also boggie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, beach/grocery bags at the unit. We already made our future plan to come stay at Andrea's property again. We can't wait to enjoy our time there again.

Amazing Location-Short walk to beach-Private Back Yard

Wonderful place to stay in Kailua! Very friendly owners,comfortable bed, and short walk to one of the best beaches on Oahu (we lived in Kailua for 12 years). I was surprised to find a very private backyard with an outdoor table and chairs and a private gas BBQ, So many extras! They have though of everything. I bought nail polish remover and then after looking in the bathroom cabinet saw they had it available there. Full size frig, washer, and dryer were so handy to have. Love having boogie boards and amazing beach chairs to bring to the beach. Thank you so much for everything. Kathy

Home Away From Home

We wanted to experience Ohau away from the crowds and was so happy we did. We chose this listing due to its walking distance to the beach and location on the east side of the island. The hosts were very gracious and checking in and out was nice and easy. It was nice to be greeted with some complimentary coffee and chocolate covered macadamia nuts upon arrival. We really wanted to stay somewhere that would give us the feel of what it might be like if we lived here, and that is exactly what we got. It was really nice to have a washer/dryer and full size utility sink along with an assortment of things we could take to the beach for entertainment. A full assortment of towels and sun protection and skin care products were available, and the space included a nice private patio. We enjoyed all the things the island had to offer, but also really enjoyed our downtime here at the rental and we’re able to relax and just enjoy the local area. We feel like we got good value for our money and would stay again without hesitation.

Great location with super comfy bed!

The Excellent: - Most comfortable bed we've ever had at a B&B stay! - Fantastic 1 block walk to beautiful Beach with provided towels, chairs AND suntan lotion is a godsend since we didn't want to bring that packed! - Full sized fridge with washer/dryer came in handy and worked great! - Everything was VERY clean when we arrived-- downright spotless! - The 2 welcome gifts were a nice surprise and gratefully used! The Good: - Mostly quiet location. NO ROOSTERS heard which is a feat in Hawai'i. There were children playing outside in the afternoons but it quieted down after dark. - Plenty of kitchenette supplies to use including welcome zipper bags (quart and gallon sized) and even the paper plates were welcome! Only thing we found lacking was a measuring cup but I believe that will be rectified for future guests. - Our host was very quickly responsive to when we noticed 1 item missing (a Kleenex box) which was rectified within minutes! Towards the end of our stay a lightbulb burnt out and I texted when we left that morning about it and it was all fixed by the time we returned! - Our host was not constantly checking on us and we essentially rarely saw her which I find very nice-- just left us to enjoy but was there if we had questions! The only bad: - getting used to footsteps from above, kitchen noises and wonderful cooking smells. OVERALL just a great stay. I could care less about the dated interior others mentioned because everything functioned and was part of the charm

Cute spot in Kailua

Awesome studio to stay in, close to everything including beach, restaurants, grocery stores. Nice having laundry, full sized fridge and beach accessories available. Mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. Would stay again!

Best Location Ever

The location of this property is perfect. It’s about a 3 minute walk to the private side of Kailua Beach, which was our favorite beach we visited across the whole island. Andrea was super accommodating and provided a lot of beach supplies (snorkeling gear, boogey boards, bug towels, bags) and extras like little cookies and coffee.

Perfect!

This is our second time at this property. Great location… just short walk to the most beautiful beach. Very comfortable bed. Private patio area for morning coffee or dinner after long day at the beach. Miss Andrea provides everything you could possibly need. The best host ever! We will definitely return if we are able to come back to the island.

Great Stay in Kailua

Property was accurately described. Very nice location and a 5 minute walk to the beach which we appreciated when we went there for Sunrise each morning. Bed is very comfortable and the cottage is well equipped with everything you need. Apprecated having a washer and dryer in the unit. Owner, Andrea met us on arrival and was available to us throughout the stay. She is very nice and helpful for any questions you may have. A suggestion is that you might consider renting a smaller vehicle as the driveway for parking is narrow and you need to navigate past 2 parked vehicles. Not a big deal but it will make your stay less stressful. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Lovely stay

The unit was private and well away from street. Very comfy. We had all we needed to make small meals. Full fridge and laundry was super convenient. Host provided beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, cooler ans ice packs. Had great fun exploring the island from this location. Also easy walk to a nice beach. We had everything we needed and had a lovely stay.

Our accommodation has all the modern comfort features such as Split System A/C, 42” TV, Washer/Dryer, Apartment Size Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, Toaster, and Microwave. Super Comfortable King Size Bed with memory foam topper. Extremely Clean (Our crew launders the pillows between each rental). Beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards are provided. The unit has a private yard with patio table, umbrella, and a gas grill. We work hard to think of all the details to make your stay wonderful and comfortable.
