A Bit O Heaven - 1 Minute to the beach on private road
Located in the St. James by the Sea neighborhood with easy beach access (no busy roads to cross). Walkable to Oak Island pier, close to restaurants, shopping, and food stores. Oak Island is unique in that the beach faces south so that you can see both the sunrise and the sunset. Enjoy sunrise or sunset from the back deck or the covered front porch or the beach. Situated on pilings, there is parking under the house and in the driveway, accessed by the private road. No boats or trailers allowed. This home away from home features hand painted murals with a king bed, a queen bed, two twin beds, and a trundle daybed perfect for families or groups. Linens and towels are included in the cleaning fee. Guests enjoy three bathrooms, each equipped with a bathtub and shower for convenience. There is also a supersized, enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower with dressing area. The space stays comfortable year-round with heating and air conditioning, and Roku streaming. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or getting ready for a day out, the touches of beach decor and palm trees make your stay easy and enjoyable. You’re sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Lock the doors
MONDAY evening, roll the trash cans to SE 72nd St for early morning pick up. (it is the only day that they pick up trash) Be sure to roll the cans back to the house by Tuesday night.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We have enjoyed Oak Island for 23 years. We love for families to spend time together and make memories they will relive for years to come. And we support any relaxing time away from the everyday just to make life special.
Why they chose this property
We love the quiet street and easy walk to the beach. Just catching the sunrise or sunset with a leisurely walk. We love the trees everywhere so that all is not rooftops and houses. Southport is a wonderful shopping town and there are also many cute shops and restaurants right on the island.
What makes this property unique
We have hand painted murals on the walls and the chandelier is painted as a pineapple. We love to eat dinner on the back deck out of the sun. But if you want sun, you just sit on the front porch. Love the front porch in the mornings, listening to the birds.
It is in a quiet neighborhood and yet you can get to the beach in no time.
The nearby streets provide so many different houses to look at while walking. You can also easily walk to the coffee shop or restaurant at Oak Island Pier and take your breakfast out on the pier to eat. Beachy shops are also close by. Mermaid Cove is great to shop in and has a bakery/coffee/ice cream shop attached next door.
