We had such a special time this week at Enno's place! A truly beautiful location, an island you can walk to at low tide, a large home for our family to spread out, and a great collection of books to read in our down time. We would be delighted to stay here again!
The property was rented for members of our family . The proximity to our house lent itself to walking/biking between houses. It was a wonderful opportunity for multiple family members to be able to gather and enjoy one another’s company. The setting is lovely with much to explore for young kids. Check in was easy, communication with owners was prompt and accommodating. The house was well appointed and very clean. We hope to book this home for future reunions!
We took our two teenage kids (16 and 19) with us on vacation as well as our two senior dogs. We wanted a place that was quiet and near the water, and this location did not disappoint! We rented 2 kayaks for a day and the company offers a delivery and pickup service which made it super convenient. The river is a very short walk from the house. We took our dogs down to the river numerous times and they loved playing in the water and walking over to little Knubble. We spent time in Freeport and walked around Boothbay Harbor which was fun. We also reserved a 4 hour fishing charter out of Bath and fished for striped bass. We all had a blast and would definitely stay here again. Enno was also super helpful and very responsive to my questions.
We thoroughly our time in Georgetown. We visited both Reid State Park and Popham Beach, both relatively close by. Enjoyed late afternoons and evenings back at the house which is very private, scenic, and lovely. We were able to cook several meals in the very well equipped kitchen - especially appreciated the sharp knives! We would absoutely return for another stay.
Beautiful and peaceful getaway. Woke up to a view of the sunrise over the water every morning. Great views between the trees. Only noise is the occasional boat heading out to the ocean. House had everything we needed and more. Host was incredibly responsive and we really felt comfortable and relaxed at this gem. Will definitely be returning.
My family, friends and I had such an amazing time at Enno and Susan’s home in Georgetown. The location is breathtaking with beautiful views and access to the water for our boys to do some exploring during low tide, which was a real treat. The place was clean and had all the amenities we needed to have a fun and relaxing stay away from our busy lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We are a family of 5 and a fur baby. The moment we arrived, we were completely in awe of our accommodations and its location. It immediately felt like home. Enno & Susan provided all the necessary things one would need to feel at ease when traveling. Our 3 boys are little adventurers and spent hours & hours combing the beach and island area. We’ve been traveling to Maine for our families vacation for the past 5 years and this was the first place that we wanted to return to. It is a piece of heaven on earth.
-The hosts, Susan and Enno, went above and beyond with their communication and sharing of important information to make sure our vacation was the best it could be
-The home is even more spacious than it appears in photos; very clean and equipt with everything a vacationer needs(if not, there is shopping nearby to get what you need). The open floorpIan and endless windows make the place light and airy with water views from many rooms. We did not expect the luxurious towels or toiletries that were provided. The clean linens and bedding were better than what I would have packed!
-The setting is beautiful! Waking to water views with nature absolutely surrounding us is how my family likes to spend our leisure time, so, we were tickled pink! Be warned, lots of deer flies and mosquitoes but the hosts even had insect repellent on hand if forgotten.
-So much to do in the area and beyond if you don't mind a little road trip. We rented kayaks for the week (Enno suggested a place, they deliver and pick up!), dined at the Osprey at the nearby marina, went to Reid state park to hike and climb on the rocky coast, biked some trails in Brunswick, ventured north to Boothbay Harbor for sightseeing and shopping, ventured south to Portland for the same plus aawesome food, stayed at the home for breezy, lazy days on the deck. This was an excellent place to stay! And our Goldendoodle got to enjoy it as well; 4 paws up from Lily!
We loved staying here! The house is at the end of a quiet road with access to a private island during low tide. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms and beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family and dog to relax and play. Reasonable distance to the beach too!
The property's location can't be beat -- for hiking, kayaking, beach and sightseeing excursions and dining out. It's well equipped and and comfortable -- plenty to see and do without leaving the property.
Host stays in touch, answers questions quickly and provides lots of helpful information and suggestions.
Spacious house with plenty of comfortable beds and great deck with beautiful water views and gorgeous sunrises. Very clean and well-appointed. We did not have to run out to the store to purchase any basic living supplies. Secluded yet not too far from the convenience of Bath. Property manager always available and very helpful.
The property is perfect for hiking and kayaking. The house great for cooking and eating outside; it's spacious and breezy. Ideally located to visit Woolwich, Wiscasset, Five Islands and Bath. Hosts were very attentive and all was enjoyable.
This place is truly special. The house was designed and built with such perfect proportions and materials, and has been so lovingly cared for; everything about it says ‘Welcome Home.’ The location on a glorious knoll, overlooking Robinhood Cove and Little Knubble Island, is so ideal that anywhere you are, indoors or out, feels like an enchanted spot. Deer and osprey are often about, to my delight.
The view of the cove and the play of sunlight ~ or moonlight ~ on the water, through the trees, is utterly magical.
Enjoying the warm play of a fire in the fireplace in the living room or the upstairs bedroom is a lovely treat (especially on those raw, damp days). And being able to play the piano is such a joy!
Enno Becker has been ever so warm and accommodating, and immediately responsive to any issues requiring attention. All kinds of thoughtful provisions were provided to make guests feel at home.
I have had several stays in this place, and I always look forward warmly to my next opportunity to stay here again.
