Lisa went above and beyond to answer my questions leading up to our visit and responded quickly! The house was perfect for our needs with two littles and two dogs. Location was a minute away from the Botanical Gardens and less than ten minutes from town. We hope to stay here again in the future!
This property is in a beautiful spot , with a yard for my dogs to run around in and explore . The deck was amazing to just sit on and relax and watch the boats. Beautiful views from all the back rooms . Great location to everything in the area. House had all the amenities you would need .

Thank you - yes, it's a great spot. And yes, it's well equipped - it's basically my home away from home so it has everything I need/use in my own home in MA.
Please keep us in mind for the future. And may I put in a little bit of a plug for an annual event in the Boothbay Region? Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (CMBG) has a holiday light display - Gardens Aglow - that runs from mid-November to the end of December. It may be too late for this year in terms of availability and ticketing but it's something to keep in mind for the future.
And please also keep us in mind for the future (summer or winter).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Great views from the deck! Right down the street from the botanical gardens, and minutes away from the harbor! Lisa was great to work with, and check in was flawless! We'd love to go back again!!!Louise & Mike
Great area. Appliances were top notch. Friendly neighbors. Highlight was buying lobsters from the lobsterman while kayaking! Wonderful for dog owners. Beautiful view from the deck.
Great location to Boothbay Harbor and area attractions. Enjoyed all the nearby hiking preserves. Home is well maintained and clean. Deck view relaxing with water, so peaceful. Was enjoyable to watch the variety of birds coming in at low tide. Children enjoyed the spacious backyard for playing and table tennis.
We weren ’t here very long but in town for my grandmothers celebration of life. This place was very nice and the host very very nice and helpful as well!
Excellent location loved the house waking up to the back river view is beautiful very close to walks downtown Boothbay harbor which is beautiful lovely owner too rent from has a lovely personal touch, will definitely be in touch with again with luck that she has an availability when I would like to go
My 4 friends and I had a wonderful long weekend at this property. Great area for hiking and shopping, this is also our second time renting this property. Highly recommended
This is an outstanding property. Great house. Great host. Well stocked. Enjoyed watching the tide coming in and going out. Boothbay is a great vacation spot. And a perfect time of year. We had a great time.
We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the birds and lobster fisherman. We found the lobster pot and got lobsters at the pound right up the street! We were close to two amazing hiking parks and a small beach. Bed was super comfortable. Great place to relax.
The house was very clean and the kitchen was very well supplied. The outside deck was wonderful with a nice picnic table and nice rocking chairs. The view was amazing and we enjoyed watching the working lobster boats! It’s very quiet and peaceful and the Botanical Gardens is minutes away and worth the trip. Also close to downtown Boothbay shopping with nice shops and restaurants I highly recommend the candy store. The only thing that I would say is being it’s an older house the basement is very musty smelling and the room they picture with the ping pong table is not useable space. Overall we would return and it was awesome to be able to have our dog with us.

Thank you - and your pet is always welcome.
On another note - we are working on the musty smells - I think it has something to do with the furniture that's there - we did put in new rugs and that helped a bit but there's more to do. FYI - the room where the ping pong table is was the workshop when my parents were alive - my Dad had his saw, etc. there and built my current boat and was always building/repairing something.
In any case, we try to take care of things as best we can, and we hope that you will consider us in the future. And yes, the kitchen, etc. is well equipped (and so is the rest of the house - it's basically my home away from home so I make sure that it's got everything that I need/have in my own home in MA so that all I have to bring is my clothes and some food).
Thank you for the review of the area - and may I put in a bit of a holiday plug - Gardens Aglow is an annual event at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. It's probably too late for this year in terms of our house being available for rent (and time limitations on the CMBG tickets available - as it runs from mid-November through 12/31/25) but it's something to think about for the future.

Beautiful location. We had a nice relaxing vacation. If you are looking for a nice relaxing vacation, this is the place. Lisa was very accommodating. We arrived early and she let us check in. Close to downtown, grocery store, and restaurants. Would definitely recommend. We are planning our trip for next year.
The house sets close to the river with a large deck facing the river. Nice to set on the deck and have morning coffee.Very quiet you hear a lobster boat on the river but hardly no car traffic.Close to the harbor only a few minutes
away, good grocery store near by and lots of local food
vendors.I would recommend this rental.
The location of the house was perfect. The view was fantastic. It is close to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, which we enjoyed visiting. The layout and seating was good for us. The house could use some updates. Upon entering there was a musty smell which dissipated after opening some windows. Neither of these things affected the enjoyment of our stay.

Thank you for your review. Yes, it's that time of year that the weather fluctuates from summer (windows open) to fall (windows sometimes open and sometimes shut). We're working on things in terms of smells and updating.
Again, thank you for your review and please keep us in mind for the future.

The home and location were perfect. Only a few minutes from The Botanical Gardens, and a short trip to downtown. The bedrooms and living space/kitchen were perfect for our group. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was perfect for sit down meal and conversation. Living room was also set up nicely overlooking the deck. Water pressure was great! Kitchen stocked nicely with utensils and cookware. The only suggestion is to possibly put in a dehumidifier in the lower level to help with the moisture and damp smell. Otherwise, very happy with our stay and looking to rebook for next summer!
This is the perfect place for a quiet weekend away! The deck is like something out of a movie and we spent hours just looking at the water and watching the birds … especially the osprey nest in the inlet! So convenient to run out to Hannaford or into town for relaxing meals or walking around the TOTALLY charming shops. We couldn’t stop talking about how perfect it was. Thank you Lisa for making our weekend so lovely! ❤️

What makes this property unique
Very quiet. Noon whistle in the distance every day. Wonderful place to think and/or relax and/or recharge batteries but still stay connected to the business world.
