Located in the middle of the 30,000 acre Allegan State Forest and on the banks of Lake Allegan, Pinecrest features an original knotty pine ceiling, you will be welcomed into this charming Michigan cabin. Open floor plan with galley kitchen, this home has everything you need for a relaxing time away. Two cozy bedrooms overlook a large wooded lot with private frontage on to Lake Allegan. Large, mature oak canopy provides a shaded respite from hot summer days.

Cabin is a two bed, one bath 1,000 sq foot house. Lot size is .46 acres, with 100 feet of frontage along the lake. 40-50 feet along the lake have been left as natural buffer from neighbors and to prevent erosion. The dock on the bank leads out into the water from the shoreline, which has small boardwalk for additional. Listing photos are from 2020, unless otherwise noted.

Outside, take your morning coffee on the large wrap-around porch and watch the birds and boats go by. Fire pit, gas grill and outdoor dining is also available for lazy summer nights. Bring your boat, kayaks, jet skis and fishing gear.

While the lot is secluded and wooded; the property is treated twice a month for mosquitoes and ticks. Due to lack of sunlight our efforts to grow a formal lawn have failed. But, it is also professionally mowed and weeded twice a month. The lot is wooded and subject to plant growth and/or insects during that time. The lot is not professionally landscaped in terms of formal, organized flower beds. Wildfowers and plants that can survive in the shade, evergreen and oak trees compose most of the flora on our lot. We love it this way and hope you will too.

With a 70' private dock, enjoy Michigan in a quiet, nature filled retreat away from the noise of city life. Pinecrest is a great place to relax under the canopy of mature trees and enjoy nature.

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place for a getaway, and this home didn't disappoint! We loved the views and private setting. We were still within a fairly close driving distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The owners were helpful and lovely to deal with. Very comfortable cabin on Lake Allegan. We stayed there in order to golf at some nearby courses and it was very convenient. The home had everything we needed and it was great to sit on the deck with a book with views of the lake. We did not take advantage of any water activities but if we went again it would be fun to bring a kayak or paddle board.

Perfect Getaway!

This was a perfect spot for my boyfriend and I to stay over a long weekend. It was perfectly clean and has everything youā€™d want a Vrbo to have on hand from kitchen equipment to fire starters. It looks exactly like the listed photos as well. We used the doc plenty to fish and kayak, the grill, and the fire pit. Itā€™s in a great location in relation to my favorite Michigan towns too - Saugatuck, St. Joseph, South Haven, and Holland. Check in/out was seamless and when I had a question, Karen responded very promptly.
We brought out own kayaks and enjoyed the lake.

This was our 3rd annual girls trip and Pinecrest was the perfect location for our weekend away. The cottage is clean and well stocked. I appreciated the wonderful pan set, not the usal beat up mismatched pans I find at VRBOā€™s. The beds are comfortable. The lake was so pretty in its partially frozen state. Being there in the winter the area was quiet and peaceful. A perfect distance from cute towns with great shopping and good restaurants. Host quickly responded to questions and gave lots of helpful suggestions for things to do. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great home and scenic location

Our stay was great. This was my families first vacation with our 7 month old son. The location is only a short drive from many of the well known Michigan towns/cities, but the home is far enough away that you could spend all your time just relaxing on the scenic lake. We did a mix of both and it was wonderful. Weā€™ll be back in the future with our canoe!

Beautiful Place

We loved the cottage. It was obvious to us that the owners have taken great care with its renovation and attention to every detail for the renters who stay here. Everything was exactly as advertised and the amenities were outstanding (fully stocked kitchen, etc) The view of Lake Allegan was stunning at all times of the day. Our only complaint (and this is something over which the owners have no control) was the constant barrage of gunshots in the (near) distance. We are city slickers and unused to the sound of

Perfectly peaceful

This was a perfect location for a peaceful getaway. The house was well equipped, and easy enough to relax in. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood very quiet. This location also allows you to relax on the deck overlooking the lake or even down on the pier and water taking in all of lake life. Also only being about a half an hour away from such places such as South Haven and Holland, allows for easy day adventures. Will be staying again, most definitely.

It all started with a need to getaway for a weekend. Being transplants from the west, we rely a great deal on locals who have lived here longer than we have. Originally from Montana, we love being able to escape to the mountains and enjoy the outdoors. A friend recommended the Saugatuck/Douglas because and we have been coming here ever since. We started with West Winds, and purchased it with the hopes we could retire here someday. With a full remodel in 2014, every surface was retouched and redone. Next came Pinecrest and again with a full remodel - down to the studs. The only original surface in Pinecrest is the knotty pine ceiling. In 2017 from we added to the unique neighborhood in Miami Park - one of the last historically platted neighborhoods in Allegan County. Endless Blue is a spacious home with all you will need to enjoy South Haven and Lake Michigan.
