Overview

About the property

4 Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, 50 Yards On A Gentle Slope To The Lake!

This lake house was built in 2007 so that I could be right on the water and fish any time I wanted to. The home is constructed with only stained or painted wood. It includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen, dining and living room with a gas log fireplace. The interior was professionally designed and decorated.

A screened in porch sets the stage for perfect outdoor dining and a deck both of which overlook the lake.

The unusual and original covered boat house has a boat lift and alarm system. The fish that congregate there in the water are my pets and love to be fed. Guests will see bass, crappie, carp, catfish and turtles.

Fishing charters are available upon request through Bucktail Guide Service. Please let me know if you are interested in setting up a fishing guide trip.

This lake house is in a quiet established neighborhood with many full time residents and a family owned diner at the top of the hill that serves the best breakfast around.

My home is in a cove and it not exposed to constant boat traffic. Swimming and floating off the dock are safe and relaxing.

About Lucy S. Bell

I am a full time fishing guide on Lake Hartwell and also travel to fish in Montana,Tennesse and Louisiana.

Lucy S. Bell purchased this house in 2007

Why Lucy S. Bell chose Townville

In 2007 I built this lake house in order to continue my fishing guide business and to enjoy living on the lake.

What makes this house unique

I love the peace and quiet of the small neighborhood in which my home is located. It is not a gated a community with fancy houses. As in many places on the lake their are a variety of styles of housing in one neighborhood.

The lake is only 50 yards from my back door. I have a covered boathouse with an alarm system and a boat lift.

There is a park nearby with hiking and biking trails that go around the lake. It's shady and great exercise, too.

Perfection

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for our family get together of 4 couples and 2 dogs . We all traveled about 9 hours to meeting the middle at this house. The pictures are very accurate. 3 queen beds and one king was perfect for us we didn't want anyone to have bunk beds. It is beautifully decorated and is stocked with everything you need to cook. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. We ate all our meals on the screened in porch then sat out on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake to take in the stars. The landscaping is beautiful, surrounded by trees and shrubs so you have plenty of privacy and we even played some frisbee on the front lawn. We rented the Pontoon boat with the house for 3 days and went fishing and tubing. They had kayaks there that you could use and they were a lot of fun to try. Lucy and Preston were very responsive of any questions I had and I would highly recommend this house

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home for a long weekend to see a Clemson game. It was just as VRBO described it! Plenty of room for all eight of us. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, etc. It was by far the cleanest VRBO home we have ever stayed in. Any questions I had were immediately answered by the owner. The house sits on a gorgeous lake and we even fed the fish like the pictures showed! I highly recommend this house for any kind of get-away!

Hartwell Family Weekend 2017

  • 4 of 5

Our family definitely enjoyed our long weekend! Having 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms worked really well and the house was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved the beautiful views/private yard and lots of parking! Having use of the garage was helpful for our group, too. The area was very quiet at night to sleep. We will definitely check on availability for another trip!

We had a fabulous weekend at this charming lake house which is located just 20 minutes from Clemson. We had never been to the area before and Lucy made this trip a truly memorable experience by accommodating us with all of our needs. Looking forward to coming back for another great weekend of tailgating with friends and family!
