Beautiful, Rustic Lake Front Home

Bedrooms 4
Space 3,500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

4 Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, 50 Yards On A Gentle Slope To The Lake!

This lake house was built in 2007 so that I could be right on the water and fish any time I wanted to. The home is constructed with only stained or painted wood. It includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen, dining and living room with a gas log fireplace. The interior was professionally designed and decorated.

A screened in porch sets the stage for perfect outdoor dining and a deck both of which overlook the lake.

The unusual and original covered boat house has a boat lift and alarm system. The fish that congregate there in the water are my pets and love to be fed. Guests will see bass, crappie, carp, catfish and turtles.

Fishing charters are available upon request through Bucktail Guide Service. Please let me know if you are interested in setting up a fishing guide trip.

This lake house is in a quiet established neighborhood with many full time residents and a family owned diner at the top of the hill that serves the best breakfast around.

My home is in a cove and it not exposed to constant boat traffic. Swimming and floating off the dock are safe and relaxing.

About Lucy S. Bell

I am a full time fishing guide on Lake Hartwell and also travel to fish in Montana,Tennesse and Louisiana.

Lucy S. Bell purchased this house in 2007

Why Lucy S. Bell chose Hartwell Lake

In 2007 I built this lake house in order to continue my fishing guide business and to enjoy living on the lake.

What makes this house unique

I love the peace and quiet of the small neighborhood in which my home is located. It is not a gated a community with fancy houses. As in many places on the lake their are a variety of styles of housing in one neighborhood.

The lake is only 50 yards from my back door. I have a covered boathouse with an alarm system and a boat lift.

There is a park nearby with hiking and biking trails that go around the lake. It's shady and great exercise, too.

This place was perfect for our family get together of 4 couples and 2 dogs . We all traveled about 9 hours to meeting the middle at this house. The pictures are very accurate. 3 queen beds and one king was perfect for us we didn't want anyone to have bunk beds. It is beautifully decorated and is stocked with everything you need to cook. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. We ate all our meals on the screened in porch then sat out on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake to take in the stars. The landscaping is beautiful, surrounded by trees and shrubs so you have plenty of privacy and we even played some frisbee on the front lawn. We rented the Pontoon boat with the house for 3 days and went fishing and tubing. They had kayaks there that you could use and they were a lot of fun to try. Lucy and Preston were very responsive of any questions I had and I would highly recommend this house

Lovely home on lake Hartwell

  • 4 of 5

Log cabin feel with all the modern conveniences. 3 bedrooms on the main floor and 2 baths and a bed/bath in the basement. Worked perfect for our family. Beautiful views of the lake from all the rooms. Hidden back on a rural road - nice and private. Very clean- not a speck of dust/dirt.

We enjoyed our stay at this pleasant cabin on Lake Hartwell. We had a great time visiting for the Clemson game. The cabin is only a 20 minute ride to Clemson.

Beautiful, tranquil lakehouse

  • 5 of 5

We are four old friends, retired and living in different states, who got together for a week of fun at the lake.

This lakehouse is beautiful. It is well-maintained and plenty big enough for us to spread out. The house is located on a cove which makes it a scenic and quiet spot. We loved feeding the fish and the big turtle that live under the dock house. The dock house is equipped with kayaks, chairs and swimming gear. The dock itself is a good size and provides easy access for swimming.

The owner of the house is a gem. He stays nearby when the house is rented, and is only a phone call away.

Beautiful, Peaceful, Restful Hartwell Hideaway!

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your beautiful lake house on Hartwell! Set in a quiet neighborhood,

and residing on a peaceful Hartwell cove, the house afforded us lovely morning coffees and restful evening drinks watching the local

heron and his/her egret friends move around the cove. Although some of the overhead kitchen lights were burnt out

and the dock's ladder seemed missing its bottom rung, the overall, essential portions

of the house and property were clean, comfortable, lovely and well maintained. We very much enjoyed our stay and

will seriously consider returning in the future.
