Overview

About the property

4 Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, 50 Yards On A Gentle Slope To The Lake!

This lake house was built in 2007 so that I could be right on the water and fish any time I wanted to. The home is constructed with only stained or painted wood. It includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen, dining and living room with a gas log fireplace. The interior was professionally designed and decorated.

A screened in porch sets the stage for perfect outdoor dining and a deck both of which overlook the lake.

The unusual and original covered boat house has a boat lift and alarm system. The fish that congregate there in the water are my pets and love to be fed. Guests will see bass, crappie, carp, catfish and turtles.

Fishing charters are available upon request through Bucktail Guide Service. Please let me know if you are interested in setting up a fishing guide trip.

This lake house is in a quiet established neighborhood with many full time residents and a family owned diner at the top of the hill that serves the best breakfast around.

My home is in a cove and it not exposed to constant boat traffic. Swimming and floating off the dock are safe and relaxing.

About Lucy S. Bell

I am a full time fishing guide on Lake Hartwell and also travel to fish in Montana,Tennesse and Louisiana.

Lucy S. Bell purchased this house in 2007

Why Lucy S. Bell chose Hartwell Lake

In 2007 I built this lake house in order to continue my fishing guide business and to enjoy living on the lake.

What makes this house unique

I love the peace and quiet of the small neighborhood in which my home is located. It is not a gated a community with fancy houses. As in many places on the lake their are a variety of styles of housing in one neighborhood.

The lake is only 50 yards from my back door. I have a covered boathouse with an alarm system and a boat lift.

There is a park nearby with hiking and biking trails that go around the lake. It's shady and great exercise, too.

Perfection

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for our family get together of 4 couples and 2 dogs . We all traveled about 9 hours to meeting the middle at this house. The pictures are very accurate. 3 queen beds and one king was perfect for us we didn't want anyone to have bunk beds. It is beautifully decorated and is stocked with everything you need to cook. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. We ate all our meals on the screened in porch then sat out on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake to take in the stars. The landscaping is beautiful, surrounded by trees and shrubs so you have plenty of privacy and we even played some frisbee on the front lawn. We rented the Pontoon boat with the house for 3 days and went fishing and tubing. They had kayaks there that you could use and they were a lot of fun to try. Lucy and Preston were very responsive of any questions I had and I would highly recommend this house

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect! Preston, the owner was wonderful. He checked in to make sure we were comfortable and to see if we needed anything. We rented his pontoon boat for the week (best deal in town). Preston is a professional fishing guide and available for hire. The boys went out with him, had a fantastic time and caught plenty of delicious fish for dinner. The gas station at the top of the hill is a must for breakfast. We will definitely come back.

AMAZING FAMILY VACAY SPOT

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for the week of the 4th of July with our 3 year old son and another couple with two young kids. We had the BEST time!! The house was perfect and we really enjoyed having the dock right on the water. Renting the pontoon boat is a MUST!! We took the boat out every morning and afternoon and found some little, private sandy beaches to pull up to and have a swim and play in the sand. It was great having the full kitchen and the screened in porch was a nice bonus. We would highly recommend this home and will most certainly be back!

Outstanding

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a week long stay. I cannot say enough good things about the home, the process for renting, and the owner, Preston. The home is immaculate and exactly as pictured. It is located on a beautiful cove and very private with little boat traffic...making it perfect to swim and fish off the dock. We rented the pontoon boat for the week and it was well worth the price as we were able to explore the lake and find many lovely beaches to relax and swim on. We were there with our two grown children and our two young grandsons who enjoyed tubing and swimming. We also chartered a fishing trip with Preston, the owner as a treat to the grandkids and were very happy we did. The boys caught lots of fish and had a great time. Would highly recommend this property to all looking for a nice lake vacation. Thank you Lucy and Preston for making the week extra special.

Owner's Response: Dear Debra, It sounds like you and your family made the most of your time at the lake. Preston is an excellent fishing guide and loves trips that have small children in hopes of "turning them on" to fishing, too. We hope to hear from you again!

Awesome time spent here.

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the screened side porch for eating meals. All bedrooms very nice and roomy. The landscaping reminded us of the Pacific NW. Lots of firs and a beautiful rose bush. The view is terrific, the boat is a must. Cranked right up and let us explore the lake and islands and deserted inlets.....so much fun. Thanks Preston and Lucy for a great time.
