Thank you so much! I’m really glad we could be your home base while the floors were getting their glow-up. 😊 It was a joy hosting you, and I’d love to welcome you back anytime you need a nearby escape!
Our overall stay was wonderful. The property was the most well equipped rental we have ever stayed in...everything we needed was provided and then some. The owners were extremely responsive and our stay was lovely. We would most certainly return in the future. You will not be disappointed!

Stephanie and her family were excellent guests! They communicated well, respected all house rules, and left the property spotless. Would love to host them again and I cannot recommend them enough to other hosts!
I had such a wonderful time! Daisy, my dog, had a blast with the squirrels and all the cats I think I counted up to 6! The place is gorgeous and very tranquil. I actually enjoyed myself. I will hopefully be back in the future!

Thank you for your lovely review, Karen! We're especially glad you and Daisy enjoyed the local wildlife – the squirrels and the cats are definitely a highlight for many of our guests. We always aim to make our guests feel at home, and it's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We hope your memories of your visit are as wonderful as your review!
What an amazingly curated home! It felt like staying in a mini art gallery! The cleanliness was BEYOND anything we had ever experienced in our 5 years of traveling each winter. The generosity of the host is beyond compare as well as her attentiveness to the tiniest request. I am a home-trained-chefy kind of gal who makes every meal of the day from scratch, so having such an amazingly stocked kitchen was like no other rental! From making many pizzas to pecan rolls, it was a delight. The neighbors/neighborhood is full of lovely people and pets. The beds were comfy. The queen is a bit firmer and the king a bit softer. And finally, as a bird-nerd, I saw and photographed many species during our visit.

This means more to me than you know. Truly.
Hearing that the home felt like a mini art gallery and that the cleanliness stood out after five years of winter travel is the highest compliment I could receive. I pour so much intention into every detail, so knowing you felt it makes my heart full.
As a fellow from-scratch kitchen lover, it makes me smile imagining pizzas and pecan rolls coming out of the oven. That kitchen was designed for exactly that kind of joy.
I’m also so glad you enjoyed the neighborhood and our neighbors. They are truly special!
You were a true pleasure to host, and I would welcome you back anytime.
This is the best VRBO I have stayed it. It is VERY clean and organized. I loved not having to pack the shampoo! Very quiet street, easy to find. The owner's communication has surpassed anything I have had before with other owners. She is kind and very responsive. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook a lovely meal. I will stay here again for sure!!!!

We strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped home for our guests, and we're so glad that you appreciated the attention to detail. We value your feedback and are always working to improve. We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future
We stayed at Stefania's place for our son's graduation. It was exactly as described and she was outstanding with communication. We had a power outage on our last evening and she even went out of her way to make sure we had light and power to charge our devices. I can't say enough about the property or the host. Would highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Stefania Bondurant
Hosting isn’t just my business — it’s my passion. At Blue Ridge Upstate Gateways, we create spaces that feel like a friend’s home: spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and ready for you to simply arrive and relax.
I pay close attention to the details that turn a stay into an experience — from chef-ready kitchens and cozy fire pits to pawesome amenities for your pets and state park passes for your adventures. My goal is always to anticipate what you’ll need before you even think to ask.
I’m originally from Italy, but the Upstate has been home for the past 25 years. Because I live and work here, I care deeply about this community. When you stay with us, you’re not just booking a rental — you’re supporting a local host who values our neighbors, protects our resources, and is committed to keeping Greenville a wonderful place for families, friends, and guests alike.
Why they chose this property
I chose Portman Cove because it’s the perfect blend of lake life and convenience. Tucked right on Lake Hartwell, the neighborhood offers that calm, lake life feel — but you’re also just a short walk to Portman Marina, where you’ll find one of the area’s best waterfront restaurants, The Galley.
What I enjoy most about this neighborhood is the rhythm of life here: mornings on the water with kayaks or paddle boards, afternoons walking to the marina, and evenings gathered around the fire pit under the stars. It’s peaceful, but never boring — you can boat, fish, dine, or simply relax by the lake. Plus, with Clemson, Anderson, and Big Water Marina just minutes away, guests get both a retreat and easy access to all the action.
What makes this property unique
What makes Portman Cove Cottage unique is how much is packed into one stay. You get lake access just steps away, complimentary kayaks and paddle boards, and the rare ability to walk to Portman Marina — home to one of the best waterfront restaurants at the lake. Most lake homes require a drive for dining or supplies, but here you can be on the water in the morning, a short car ride to grocery stores and retailers alike, and dinner on the deck.
The home itself is thoughtfully stocked like a true getaway should be: a chef’s kitchen with a pizza oven and Blackstone grill, plush king bed with blackout curtains, and extras like state park passes, streaming sports, and even gear for pets. Guests tell us it feels less like a rental and more like a friend’s home — welcoming, easy, and ready for real lake-life memories.
