The house was exactly what we needed for this trip—conveniently located near the NAU campus and downtown. Having the Bashas grocery store just around the corner made it easy to pick up anything we needed. There was plenty of space for the five of us to spread out comfortably. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the essentials. Even though the house is right next to the road, it was surprisingly quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay.

The moment we had stepped into this cozy house, we knew that we had not made a mistake. Everything was so tidy and clean and it had a very homey vibe. The things in the house were so generously provided and there was nothing that we didn’t have. With pets allowed, it made our Flagstaff vacation all the better and it would not have been the same if we had stayed elsewhere. Everything was organized and communication was elaborate and frequent. If you’re eyeing Flagstaff for your next adventure, book this place and everything will be set!

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst rentals I’ve ever stayed in. While the owners were very kind, the property itself was in poor condition. The floors were caved in throughout most of the house and were extremely dirty. My kids walked around without socks and their feet quickly became black. We also lost a toy under the couch, and when we moved it, the amount of food, crumbs, and dust underneath was concerning. The couch was also caved in and they had a piece of wood board in under the pillows, but I’m not really sure whyThe beds themselves were acceptable, but the pillows were extremely thin—you needed three just to equal a normal pillow. The bathrooms were fine, but we chose not to use the kitchen much and ate out for most of our stay.On a positive note, the location was convenient for everything we wanted to do, and both check-in and check-out were easy.

We’re Patrick & Megan — a family-run stay, not a big corporate rental company.

We’ve always loved traveling ourselves, and some of our best trips were the ones where everyone could stay together under one roof — not split across hotel rooms. That’s exactly what we wanted to create here in Flagstaff.

Uptown Estates is built around that idea: more space, more comfort, and a better experience for families, friends, and groups.

We’re local, hands-on, and genuinely care about your stay. Whether you’re here for NAU, a weekend getaway, or exploring Northern Arizona, we want your trip to feel easy, memorable, and worth coming back for.

Why they chose this property

We chose downtown Flagstaff because it completely changes the way you experience your trip.

Instead of driving everywhere, you can walk to coffee in the morning, breweries in the afternoon, and dinner at night — all just steps from the house. It’s one of the few places in Flagstaff where you can truly park your car and enjoy the weekend.

At the same time, you’re perfectly positioned as a basecamp for Northern Arizona — the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and countless trails are all within reach.

For us, this location brings together the best of both worlds: a lively, walkable downtown and easy access to some of the most incredible landscapes in the country.

What makes this property unique

What makes this home different is simple: it’s designed for how people actually travel together.

Instead of splitting into multiple hotel rooms, everyone stays under one roof — with space to gather, relax, and enjoy the trip together. Whether it’s a graduation weekend, family getaway, or group trip, the home becomes part of the experience, not just a place to sleep.

It’s also one of the largest stays in downtown Flagstaff, which is rare. You get the space and comfort most homes offer — without giving up the ability to walk everywhere. Coffee in the morning, breweries in the afternoon, dinner at night — all just steps away.

Add in the charm of a 100-year-old property, modern comforts, and a pet-friendly setup, and you get something most places can’t offer:

A stay where everyone is together, everything is close, and the trip feels easier from the moment you arrive.
