The kids have their own bedroom with their own TV and their own bathroom. The pool is only a 5 min walk away and it is a beautiful large pool with an enclosed shallow area for the kids. The walk to the pool is lined with fishponds containing many goldfish and is a delight for children.

About Elena Haluk
We are a professional couple with three hockey-obsessed kids. You guessed it - we hail from Canada, eh?! We love travelling and exploring the wonders of the world. To us, the Big Island of Hawaii is one of those magical wonders. Come enjoy and fall in love with it like we did!
Elena Haluk purchased this Condo in 2013
Why Elena Haluk chose Puako
Superb location - top notch restaurants, gorgeous beaches, superb hiking trails, thrilling water sports - all a few minutes' walk or a short drive away. All this combined with the perfect weather and the natural splendour of the Big Island creates an ideal vacation get away!
What makes this Condo unique
Unlike other units in the Fairways, the townhouse offers complete privacy and breathtaking views of the golf course and the swaying palm trees - nothing else. You will feel as if the whole world belongs to you alone. At the same time the unit is very close to the pool, hot tub and workout facility. Access is a walk across the super low traffic street. The community is extremely safe and we feel safe letting our kids explore on their own.

Great value in prime location
Blissfully quiet and comfortable unit. I would book again in a heartbeat on my next visit to the big Island.
2nd Stay, Glad to Be Back
Thanks for another great vacation! We were so happy to see that this unit was available after visiting 2 years ago. Elena has always been very prompt, professional, helpful and friendly. When you find someone you trust in a great location, you come back. We found the unit to be clean, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The layout/floorplan worked well for my husband, two sons, and I. There have always been enough of the basics to get us by (ziplocs, spices, beach gear, shampoo, garbage bags, etc), that all we have needed to bring is food and beverages (and swimsuits and personal items, of course)! Food & beverage is usually taken care of when we get off the plane and head to Costco to stock up on breakfasts, lunches, POG, and steaks/fish/yumminess that we grill up on the lanai after our days at the beach. Also whatever miscellaneous items we didn't need in a "Costco size," we easily fetched at the Mauna Lani grocery store, nearby. Speaking of conveniences, we look at staying at Waikoloa every time to save money, but having easy access to the Mauna Lani private beach is worth every penny (technically, all the beaches in Hawaii are public and accessible to everyone, but this would otherwise require a significant walk). Even on a crummy day elsewhere, visibility wise, the snorkeling hugging the rocks to the south can turn spectacular. On a good day, it arguably rivals Kealekekua Bay/Capt. Cook and oh, so much easier to access! The private beach is pretty protected so when it's rough elsewhere, it's still good for the keiki, but no boogie boarding (no waves & it's not allowed). There are SUP and kayaks for rent there, though. For boogie boarding, Hapuna is an easy trip down the road. Upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find enough boogie boards, snorkel gear and beach chairs for the four of us, along with a cooler bag to shlep our food and drinks to the beach in. If the snorkel gear doesn't meet your expectations, we've found that renting from Snorkel Bob's in the ML shopping center works well too. Also, there were a number of ice packs in the freezer to put in the cooler bag, but we quickly found that freezing a couple of water bottles was more efficient and easier to carry (especially out). The pool is great--my 10 & 13 year old boys loved it and went daily. It never got "too crowded." I would definitely recommend this property to a friend.
A quiet retreat!
We spent 2 weeks at Dancing Dolphins and enjoyed the time tremendously. Located in a gated community, it was peaceful and quiet with all expected amenities. The gym facility was an unexpected treat. Our stay did not include spending much time in Kailua, so we did not have to sit in traffic along highway 19. Traffic should flow better once construction ends....likely a year from now. The king bed in the master has a nice foam topper, but not the guest bed, so naturally there is a difference in sleep quality. A bag of ice was easier than filling ice trays...I am so spoiled by my ice-maker at home. It was so nice to have everything we could ever need for the beach provided during our stay. We used the grill quite a bit for evening meals having stocked up at Costco prior to checking into the property. Gasoline is much less expensive there as well.
Shopping and a grocery store are close by. I am not a golfer, but the grounds appear to be very well kept. I would definitely recommend Dancing Dolphins property for those who prefer a more relaxing setting on the Big Island.
Very nice 2 bedroom condo in Mauna Lani
The condo was great. Clean 2-bedroom and well supplied with everything you would need for the beach. Would rent again. Thanks!
17 nights at Dancing Dolphins
Two of us stayed at Elena’s Fairways Villa and thoroughly enjoyed it. Elena was quick to respond to any questions we had before our trip and looked after a few concerns very promptly we had once we arrived. The villa met all our expectations. It is west facing, overlooking the golf course and although the adjacent units were occupied part of the time, it seemed private and quiet. The grounds of the Fairways Villas are nicely landscaped and looked after including the pool area which is a 1 or 2 minute walk away. We enjoyed being a short walk away from the shops and from the Fairmont Orchid. Our favorite afternoon walk was a loop down to the Fairmont Orchid, along their shore to the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, past the fish ponds, up the road to the shops and then back to the villa. We always saw turtles along the beach, once counting 13 in front of the Fairmont’s beach bar. It is a few minutes drive to the Beach Club where we swam every morning right after breakfast. This was the sixth place we’ve stayed in Mauna Lani. I would happily return to the Dancing Dolphins and would recommend it.
We Loved It!
My husband and I stayed at Dancing Dolphins one week in Sept and shared the unit with our son and wife for two weeks in Nov. When we return to the Big Island, we hope to rent this unit again because we loved our time there! Daily sitting out on the patio, we enjoyed meals together and relaxed as we looked out over the 12th fairway of the North Course. In addition to a golf course view, we could see sunsets over the palm trees so this was a big “plus” for us. We think this unit has one of the best locations in The Fairways complex.
The interior of the unit was very clean, nicely decorated and well taken care of. We prepared most of our meals in the well appointed kitchen as well as used the patio BBQ (which was like new). We stayed in both the HUGE Master BR with its own sitting area and outdoor lanai and the smaller second bedroom. Both beds were comfortable.
Elena Haluk was great to work with and very responsive to any of our questions or concerns. When we had a small issue with a missing TV remote, she immediately contacted the repairman who replaced the remote and answered questions for us. Elena made a real effort to make our stay enjoyable and easy. We certainly recommend this condo.
