Not clean upon arrival, blamed us!
White furniture covers were dirty and stained almost as if someone urinated on the couch or spilled coffee and cleaners didnt get the stain out. Had not been dusted. Charged quite the non-refundable cleaning fee, upon checkout was given a checklist of things to do before leaving which basically was clean the house and grounds yourself before you leave so you pay a cleaning fee for nothing, when we left we had completed the checklist anyway yet were accused of "TRASHING" the place by owners and cleaning crew when the only thing left for the cleaners to do was make one bed and sweep all floors except kitchen floor. Luckily, I had purchased property damage insurance and sure enough the owners filed a claim stating we damaged a chair, a couch, and 2 slipcovers that just needed washed before we even got there. Also luckily, we took photos when we arrived and posted on social media that same day to show proof. We will never use this place again and we advised all of our family the same as well as anyone reading this. They will use you to get new furniture and you will pay fees for things you will do yourself. If you ask me, they should have paid me the cleaning fee and I'd have made the other bed and swept all floors and washed the slipcovers using Shout stain remover and made it look ten times better than the useless, lazy so-called cleaning crew they supposedly hire. In a nutshell, it isnt worth the hassle and the view and drive up as well as the stay is not as glamorous as they are making it out to be.

Response from VrboOwner on 24 Mar 2020
This negative review comes as a complete surprise to us from this guest. At check in, Jamie confirmed that the cabin was in great shape – her text to us in verbatim was “We made it! Just got through the door. It’s beautiful!!!!” During her stay, Jaime never complained about the state of the cabin. At check out, she confirmed that they had a good time and only had positive remarks about the cabin.
When our cleaners arrived at the home, they found the home thrashed. While Jaime admitted in writing that they had smoked in the home and offered to pay for any damages, we have not pursued this and are still working with the insurance company on how to get reimbursed.
Jaime’s malicious review continues on her Facebook page, and contrary to her statements, there are numerous picture and commentary evidence of the truth regarding her stay. Jaime and her family can be seen enjoying drinks on the very couch which “she claims looked like someone had urinated on” as well as her young 1 and 2 year old nieces playing and sleeping (face down) on the furniture with their shoes on. In all of these pictures, It is obvious that the furniture was still very clean and pristine. Any subsequent pictures of damaged or stained furniture are pictures we have sent Jaime, as proof of her damage.
Most cabins require a security deposit to cover the kind of damage Jaime caused. We do not currently require this as we believe and expect our guests will treat our home with the same level of respect and accord as they would treat theirs. We just believe in the reciprocity of doing right by everyone. Clearly our trust was misplaced with this guest
Since, Jaime left we have had to replace at our expense, all our dining chairs. For the living room set, we have ordered replacement slip covers for the white covers that were damaged beyond remedy.
We take the cleanliness of our cabin very seriously. It is a place we love and share with not just guests, but also our extended and immediate family and close friends. The choice for white linens, towels, sheets and sofa covers is deliberate. We want to see and know that everything is clean. If upon check in, the cabin is less than desirable in terms of cleanliness, please notify us and our cleaning crew will come out there at no additional costs.
Thanks to all our previous and current guests that continue to share in person and in reviews the love for our home and their stay at our cabin.

80 birthday celebration
The property was a prime location for black bear sitings. We had no troubles with the bear. The scenery was breath taking.
However the cleanliness of the place could of been much more pleasant. The bed linens and bedding could of used alot more bleach and time putting and preparing for guests. Some beds had fitted sheets but no flat sheet, all three shower curtains were molding and one bedroom had blood on shower curtain and bedroom curtains.
We talked that we would really like to get the place in the future but bring most of our own supplies even though the were provided.
Sorry no five star review. If you are paying to have a company do the cleaning of this property you could do yourselves a favor and surprise visit.
Tennessee was wonderful!!!
We had a super time. The view was fantastic and we felt we were at the Top Of The World. The cabin was great and absolutely no issues. The hosts couldn't have been better. They were so informative and easy to work with. We would recommend this property to anyone.
The host was great, providing helpful information during our stay. The cabin was quiet, clean and well equipped. The view was great.

Nice
The place was nice and we had fun but the property desperately needs updating to make it worth the rental amount. The lower level had a bug problem. The owners were responsive when we told them and had The exterminator come immediately but the issue continued all week… the carpets need to be taken out and vinyl plank or something put in. The bug issue was NOT good.
Great views, However, we had some issues with the property. Unfortunately the cleaning company that was used didn’t clean the floors or vacuum the rugs and it was very evident how dirty it was. We kept in constant communication with property owner and she offered to have someone come out to clean, however we weren’t going to be in the cabin for an extended period of time and didn’t want to inconvenience the rest of our group. We also had an abnormal amount of millipedes in the house, especially in the lower rooms. We informed the property owner about this and there seems to be an issue with this is the area. Overall the view is great and property is nice, however these issues did cause some inconvenience.
The cabin was very comfortable and met the needs of our family of 9. View from the deck was awesome and perfect for that first cup of coffee each morning. The living space had room for us all to spread out and enjoy our time together. The drive up the mountain seemed long but really only took about 15 min. so it was quite close to all the things we wanted to do. Chime responded to our messages very quickly. Would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.
We had a wonderful time at this cabin! We rented it for one week, and my family and I were happy to be there. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 3 kids, and we still had room for 2 more adults on the lowest level. Our 7 year old and 4 year old absolutely loved the bunk room!! The views off the back decks are amazing, and we enjoyed sitting outside to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The owner, Chime, is very sweet, helpful and knowledgeable of the area and things to do!

We enjoyed our stay but the images on the listing need to updated
Could have used hot tub towels, we had to use the same towels we had for showering. View was really nice, Home was spacious and nicely laid out. Be ready for mountain driving cuz its up pretty high....which made it nice and peaceful. Check in process was super easy. Not far from downtown area and super close to Ober Gatlinburg which we really enjoyed! Plan to spend an entire day there! K Hot tub motor is really loud. Be sure to take all food out of your car and lock the doors or the residents of the area (bears) will check for any goodies you may have! LOL...you should expect that because you are in the mountains so this definitely isn't a negative or a complaint, just a helpful tip! Be sure to di some hiking and check out Grotto Falls! Overall we all enjoyed our trip and our stay!
We will definitely be back!! The views are amazing and the rooms fit just right. We slept wonderfully even on the bunk beds! I think I had contact with the owners every day with them checking in to make sure our stay was incredible. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, look no further, you have found it here!!
My son called it a mansion. Great unobstructed view. We had a blast. We will come again.
A view cosmetic updates needed but overall worked fine.
Thank you!
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Hot tub was nice and everyone slept comfortably on the beds. It was spacious and cozy. The instructions from the owners were clear. Thank you.
We came as a family of 3 generations and overall it was a perfect place for us.
The cabin is located at the very top of the mountain (or so it feels). The drive there was looong but the view is totally worth it. Chime had sent us upfront all the information we needed including where it's preferred to buy the groceries which was super useful.
The place does feel it needs some updates, especially the kitchen... but this cabin has a lot to offer.
The 1st floor is an open living space, with the kitchen and dining room and has a big balcony overlooking the AMAZING VIEW! It is very spacious and has a huge dining table. On this floor, there's also one bedroom and bathroom.
Going down one floor there were 2 more bedrooms, a bathroom, and the game room, also with a big balcony and an amazing view. We spend so much time playing in this room it was great. Going down once more there's what we called a suite :) with a big kind size bed and a larger bathroom with washer dryer.
Beds were super comfortable and clean.
What would have made it even better was if there were a little more of the "small things" like there are 2 coffee machines but no coffee, there weren't enough dishwasher tablets considering we came as a big group and ate in. Would have been nice to have some more of the paper towels or towels we can use to clean after us... same for the laundry detergent... things you don't really think to bring with you to your vacation.
But as I said before... overall, we had a great time there :)
Wow! What views! Lots of bear friends visiting and even a coyote dropped by. Most comfortable mattresses ever. Cabin could use a little TLC like drawers in kitchen and more comfortable porch furniture but this didn’t detract from the wonderful time we had. The owners were easy to work with and our trip was fantastic.
My family stayed here this past month...........the view was fantastic.....the road to get to the cabin as others have stated were a bit steep and narrow. We saw bears quite a few times! The owners were very easy to get in touch with and were very helpful with suggestions of places to go while we were there.
The location was great. Getting to Gatlingburg was easy and you are right near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin itself was clean. There were a few things that could be fixed or updated. Although there were pots and pans.......sizes were limited and not many lids to match. The hot tub was a hit with my kids although it could probably use a cleaning. My kid's hair stunk when they came out. The beds were tidy and very comfortable. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Towels were a bit thin but simply put them in the dryer after each use. We chose not to use paper plates and anything disposable to cut down on our garbage. If you do......bring extra garbage bags. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!
Overall very nice stay. Property managers/ owners very attentive, clean and comfortable beds. Needs minor updating.

Amazing views of the mountains and overlooking Ober Gatlinburg
We spent 4 nights here for spring break. We live in Florida so this was a real change of pace for the kids to see mountains and feel chilly weather! It is about a ten minute drive down winding roads to town. Owners were incredibly responsive and offered some really helpful tips for things to do including a number of hiking trails that worked out perfectly for us - traveling with three kids and a set of grandparents. To be fair, there are some aging aspects of this cabin, but it is clean, comfortable beds, a great hot tub, stainless appliances and plenty of space. The views are wonderful and you get a true mountain getaway. We spent our entire days in town and in the park so this was perfect for what we needed - a warm cabin overlooking the Smokies for an experience unlike anything my kids have ever experienced being raised in Florida.

Gorgeous view. Very comfortable beds. Quaint charm, but long drive up
Beds were super comfy, good supply of kitchen accessories. No outside space for kids to run about. May be best for families with older children...
The drive up to the cabin was a bit long on mountain switchback roads, but worth the view. You can see and hear Ober Gatlinburg from the decks.
It is an older cabin that has some wear and tear, but it adds life/charm to the feel.
The main floor area where the kitchen, dining, and living room are is a great open are for the entire family to gather. This is where most of our time was spent.

Perfect cabin with an even better view.
Where do I begin? This was an amazing experience. You can step out on the patio and see the ski slopes at Ober Gatlinburg below you. The views are astounding. The cabin is perfect for a family get away. The owners are awesome and so laid back. We had the experience of a lifetime in the cabin. I cried when it was time to leave even though I'd been with my teenagers for 5 days. You get to enjoy Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and the privacy of your own house.

About the host
Hosted by Chime
We are a curious family of world travellers. We've lived in five continents and enjoyed the people, food and cultures of some of the most beautiful places in the world.
When we're not traveling, we split our time between the places we call home, the Mountains of Tennessee and Beaches of Florida. We would love to share the keys to our homes with you, because "Not all who wander are lost" :)
Why they chose this property
The views took my breath away.
What makes this property unique
Best views of everything. Mountains, ski slopes, tram, clouds, wildlife, parks and city lights. Great proximity to town, hiking trails and attractions.
