Lake Lure Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Authentic cottage with 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 7

Lake Lure cottage is nestled along the shores Snug Harbor Cove. The cottage sits on Lake Lure, affording views of the lake, Snug Harbor Cove and the surrounding mountains.

Lake Lure cottage is two levels separated into three large bedrooms, providing more space than a typical Lake Lure lodge or other Lake Lure cabin rentals. The first and second floor both have a full sized bathroom with tub/ shower. The kitchen, living room with large stone fireplace and eating area are all located on the first floor. The cottage has central heat and air conditioning, along with natural aroma of cedar paneling with collar beams.

The cottage will sleep up to seven people comfortably.

The modern boathouse located directly on the shores of Lake Lure, offers splendid views of Lake Lure and Snug Harbor Cove. In addition to great views of Lake Lure, the boathouse has plentiful decks and platforms for sunbathing, diving and access to one of the best fishing coves on Lake Lure.

Water sports, hiking, shopping and dining are conveniently located around Lake Lure, a beautiful western North Carolina vacation destination.

Peaceful, lovely lake retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a super fun week at Lake Lure, and this home did not disappoint. First, the location is superb. Quiet cove off of the main lake, but still close enough to everything. Short walk to the boat house and both the home and the boat house were exceptionally clean and well kept. We loved kayaking and SUP all week! Our kids, ages 4 and 7 had a great swimming area and enjoyed the Lake and the home as well. Everything you could want from the kitchen, linens, a worry-free week. We can't wait to go back! Joan was a delight to work with, and we would highly recommend this home for your visit. We visited the beach once, but you don't need to. You have the lake right there. We loved Lake Lure and this home was just perfect.

Beautiful place.

  • 5 of 5

Lake Lure is a beautiful place for either a short or long vacation (first time visitor). The place was just perfect, we loved every inch of it. The cute cottage made us feel like we were home, so cozy!. The view is beautiful and very peaceful, right by the lake. Although we went on December (low season) we still had fun. I have told the high season is very busy but December was perfect, not too cold we were still wearing short sleeves most of the time. The town is quaint and very friendly, and so close! If you go, don't forget to go to Chimney Rock!. The house is fully equipped, including basic stuff like toiled paper. There is a big Ingles grocery store 5 mins away, where you can buy anything and even has a Redbox for renting movies. My family, specially my 3 year old, loved the house so much she claimed as hers. Now, we have 2 houses, one in Florida and the other up in the mountains!. We are definitely coming back!

This was our first time visiting Lake Lure and it did not disappoint. The house is adorable and so well kept and comfortable. The boat house was fantastic. Truth be told, we spent most of our time there because there was so much to do; swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing and enjoying the beautiful views. The area around the lake offers many activities such as horseback riding, Chimney Rock Park, hiking trails, and boat tours. The family thoroughly enjoyed themselves and agreed that this should be our vacation destination next year.

Perfect!

This was our first stay on the lake and it was fantastic. The boathouse was full of great things to use and the house was comfortable and cozy. We stayed down by the boathouse and swam the afternoon away. Just really relaxing and enjoyable.

Fantastic getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was so clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and spices (but they could use a new wine bottle opener). The water was great even in the middle of May and we all had fun paddle-boarding. Thumbs up from the whole family. Although you have to deal with a lot of winding roads to get to there, boating, marina, shopping, food and alcohol are all within 2 miles. Great spot.

Notes:
Boathouse with dock/deck area including a sun deck on the roof (and a ledge to jump into the lake for the brave). On the side of the boathouse, there are steps leading into the shallow water perfect for small children to enter and play. During most seasons, the water is only about a foot deep in this area before it gradually gets deeper towards the front/cove side of the boathouse. The front of the boathouse is perfect for diving and fishing. It's also sufficiently deep to tie-up a boat (several cleats to use). Inside the boathouse is a changing room to spare any trips to the cottage.
