About Kathy

We were vacationing in Maggie Valley and one day decided to purchase our own home. We then decided that we would share our home to others so that they may experience the same joy that we do everytime we go to Maggie.

Kathy purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Kathy chose Maggie Valley

Maggie is 25 minutes from Asheville and Cherokee, has many things to do in the surrounding area and is a quiet town.

What makes this cabin unique

We have a beautiful wooded view, stream on property, hot tub, plenty of deck, and secluded to get away from the busy city life.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Rented twice, we really enjoy the nicely decorated rooms and satelite TV.

Beautiful cabin and excellent location!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed at Creekview in October. We came to the mountains to see the amazing fall colors. This cabin is so beautiful and cozy! It has everything you could possibly need and more. The location is perfect. Maggie Valley is such a cute little town and it was close to all the places we wanted to visit. We spent a lot of our time driving the parkway and other scenic highways. We even got a bonus during our stay because it snowed up at Clingman's Dome. It was a winter wonderland with a background of fall colors. It was awesome! After a long day of site-seeing, the hot tub on the deck was so relaxing. The cabin and location is definitely 5 stars. However, I was a little disappointed that the creek was dried up. With a name like "creekview" you would expect to see a creek. However, it has been unusually dry this year. I would definitely stay in this cabin again. Oh, I forgot to mention that the cabin was spotless when we arrived.

Fall Weekend

  • 4 of 5

The cabin and decorations were beautiful! We were only there for a weekend, but the quiet and seclusion was amazing. We saw wild turkey, chipmunks and even a groundhog. I could have happily spent the entire weekend on the large back porch listening to the birds! (although I was a little disappointed that the wooden swing was in disrepair and the "creek" was dry). Even though the owners were in China, they took the time to personally ensure our reservation was accurate and we had all needed information. Although the restaurants and entertainment were lacking in Maggie Valley(we live near Charlotte, so maybe not a fair comparison), Ashville is less than a 30 minutes drive and we were really there for some peace and quiet. As an FYI- the light switches were a little difficult to locate- as several were behind doors. We would definitley recommend this cabin to anyone staying in Maggie Valley.

The cabin was spotless and equipped with everything needed for our stay including clean beds, clean sheets and extra covers. The entire cabin is fully equipped with everything that was needed for our stay. The hot tub on the back deck was relaxing and we enjoyed looking at the beautiful scenery while in hot tub.

Restful Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six, including 4 children under 11, had one of our favorite summer vacations in your home. The creek was a great daily distraction for the oldest three boys, the large kitchen table hosted several games of old maid and trivial pursuit and the stocked kitchen had some of the little things we forgot at the store like ziploc bags and olive oil. The home was close enough to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Pisgah National Forest but yet still remote enough to be tranquil and peaceful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us for the week.
