Guestbook comments from the owner

The house was gorgeous and amazing, thank you so much for letting us use it for the weekend. We had an absolute blast, the location was extremely convenient and right near everything we could ever need. The snow at the top of the mountain was good for skiing too, which was great for this time of the year.

Awesome location

  • 4 of 5

Near northstar. Well maintained. Good for 3 families- can fit in more using the sleeper sofas. Heating system is a little slow to go on. Would request that the owners turn it on ahead of time. Overall, had a wonderful stay and we loved being able to ski in and out!! Would definitely stay there again.

Great Beautiful house. Better then the pictures. Loved how close it was to Northstar village and great having the gondola right out the back door. Oh and there is a deck with a great view and a great cooking grill. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home, great location for skiing!

  • 5 of 5

--- Location ---

This was a beautifully maintained, super spacious home near the Highland Gondola of the Northstar resort. In good snow conditions, this would definitely the perfect location for a ski-in, ski-out. You can take the "Homerun" trail straight to the house. Unfortunately, the weekend we went was exceptionally warm, so we had to walk our gear back and forth from the gondola, but that's still much more convenient than having to drive onto the resort. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking to get a big group onto the slopes in a speedy, easy manner.

--- Kitchen & Amenities for Large Groups ---

The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals for 15 people. There are plenty of dishes and silverware, multiple skillets (which made for quicker scrambled eggs for everyone's breakfasts!), and even 2 coffee makers! The one thing we ran out of was cooking vegetable oil; so you might want to bring some if you plan on cooking at the house. The dishwasher was a lifesaver, too :)

The rooms were very comfortable -- the "master" bedrooms are especially comfy with a great selection of linens and warm duvets. The other rooms seemed comfortable enough for everyone else as well. We appreciated the large assortment of extra blankets and sheets that we used with the pull out sofa bed downstairs. With our group, when we used the 2 sofa pull outs downstairs, we were able to fit 15 friends (3 couples, 9 singles) comfortably, though one of our friends did sleep upstairs in a sleeping bag (since he didn't want to share a room with anyoene else and wake them up with snoring).

There were plenty of towels for 15 people, amazingly! The bathrooms also had bar soap & shampoo/conditioner stocked. The shampoo & conditioner may run a bit low if you have a large group (or more girls with long hair!) but we were fine. We were able to stagger showers so there wasn't too much of a wait between them all. The water runs nice and hot -- something you forget you really care about until after a full day on the mountain!

--- Final Notes ---

The owners John & Pat Adams were super responsive the entire trip. John worked with to figure out the online payment system on this site (which was a bit hidden), and he was really responsive via phone, answering all of our questions. Pat is a sweetheart -- I'd recommend giving her a call and hearing the recommendations of what you can do around the area! Can't recommend this home highly enough!
