Feeling at Home:

We do our best so you don't feel like you're in a hotel. Instead you will be in your home away from home. We include all the extras that you should expect to have at home. We provide complimentary high speed wireless internet service and cable TV. All very nice bedding and towels included. You will your own private and separate washer and dryer room.

Yes, There’s plenty of real stretching out space here. It's very simple... our large 2400 square feet townhouse is a much better value than renting three separate hotel rooms. And best of all, you will have both privacy & fun of a shared vacation fun. Save even more by having breakfast & lunch at your own vacation home. Then go out for a nice dinner & Key Largo entertainment. So you can look forward to having fun with your entire family or group of friends.

Mariners Club Resort:

Our townhouse is located in quiet and immaculately maintained Mariners Club Resort. You will have the best of all worlds with the serene Gulf of Mexico and the fun and adventurous Atlantic Ocean, with close by beautiful Caribbean. Once here, you will definitely understand it’s a whole new latitude and attitude for enjoying life. As the locals say, “no shoes, no worries.” But anytime you want action and sport, there are many, many places to go and too many activities to count!

So look at our recent photos and dream of being here, to soak up the sunshine in the Mariners Club tropical climate and relaxing in one of the amazing pools or sandy beach area. The Coral Jacuzzi Grotto provides a very unique hideaway for you to unwind and relax after a full day of fishing or game of tennis. The next door restaurant, The Mandalay Restaurant Tiki Bar features gourmet American cuisine and serves lunch and dinner daily, plus has local entertainers come by and play and sing.

The Mariners Club Resort offers tennis courts, state-of-the-art fitness center, two large beautiful pools (one pool is oceanfront lagoon-styled pool surrounded by coconut palms, bougainvillea and mangrove trees and powder white sands and the second pool is heated and offers a more secluded atmosphere with dramatic views of the ocean.)

We provide full access (with codes to fitness center), tennis rackets, and a few fishing poles. You may try real fishing off the long fishing and viewing pier. The pier runs along and beyond the Mariners Club Marina. This is a great spot for relaxing and for taking incredible ocean front photos.

Our apartment is located within a short minute walk to pools, fitness center, clubhouse, marina, long fishing pier, and sandy beach area. (Sandy beach does not allow direct water access.)

The Mariners Club Marina:

Mariners Club Resort Villas and Marina features a beautiful 43-slip Atlantic Ocean deep-water marina. The marina can accommodate jet skis, wave runners, boats, and yachts up to 60 feet long, and the docks are equipped with fresh water and electricity. But to use marina, you will need to consult with the harbormaster directly for marina cost, availability and rules.

Key Largo Activities:

There is a great deal to a Key Largo vacation. Within short drives, you can go diving / snorkeling and fishing to fun and interesting eco- tours, swim with dolphins, and endless water sports. Our guest manual and brochures has a listing of the numerous exciting Key Largo activities.

Diving - Key Largo, a location also known as the 'Diving Capital of the World' boasts the first undersea park in history - John Pennekamp State Park. Key Largo has been protected from spear fishing and coral collection for four decades and is an integral portion of the 2,800-square-nautical-mile Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary six miles offshore. This island also features six unique Sanctuary Preservation Areas (SPA's) where even hook and line fishing is prohibited. Famous snorkel and dive sites include Spiegel Grove wreck dive, Statue of Christ of the Abyss and Molasses Reef.

Fishing - The waters of Key Largo are teeming with some of the worlds' most sought after game fish. More than 10 percent of the IGFA saltwater line class and fly fishing world records have been set in the Florida Keys.

Eco Tours - The waters around Key Largo are an ecologically fascinating place where freshwater from the Everglades mixes with the saltwater of Florida Bay. Everglades National Park abuts the near-shore waters of Key Largo to the west providing a home for an array of wildlife including bottle-nosed dolphin, crocodiles, sea turtles, alligators, and manatees.

Water Sports – Close to Mariner's Club Key Largo are various independent professionals that offer dive & snorkeling charters, scuba instruction, offshore/back country fishing charters, power boat/Hobie Cat/wave runner rentals, paddle boards, kayak and canoe rentals, jet skis, eco-tours, snorkel trips and evening sunset cruises.

A Central Point in the Florida Keys

Many folks also go out and to explore the rest of the Florida Keys by driving down to Seven Mile Bridge, Islamorada, as well as Key West (farthest point south in mainland USA). Note that driving is a pleasure since you are surrounded by ocean and bay throughout. Plus there are so many places to dine along the way. These are just some of the reasons why folks fall in love and keep coming back to the Florida Keys. Of course, Miami’s South Beach unique style and numerous other South Florida attractions are with 1 ½ hour drive north.

Super Clean:

Our townhouse is kept extremely clean. Absolutely NO Smoking in unit. Sorry, no pets are allowed by condo association rules. No carpeting, just smooth high-end tiles & wood flooring, marble floors & counter, washer/dryer, screened doors and ceiling fans to circulate the air in all rooms. (Yes, we have excellent central air.)

The Extras:

My wife has prepared a 3-ring binder with information about the local area (site seeing, local events, many discount coupons, maps, and more). Our home is surrounded by plenty of great places to eat. Just read our reviews and guestbook for ideas of best eateries and fun things to do. Plus we will be available for any questions via text messaging before and during your vacation.

Extra Value & Our Rates:

Our rates should be comparable. But we feel very strongly that we offer so much more in terms of true value and our extras allows you to spend less. So please compare our location, actual home value, extra comfort, spaciousness, and the numerous amenities.

Note that our published rates are for 4 to 5 occupancy. There is charge for adding guests (yes - including children). There is a choice of insurance or damage deposit. (We remove deposit in many cases.) You will be able to pay by credit card, PayPal or check.

Cancellations:

There is a non-refundable payment to hold reservation and 60-day cancellation date range. But refunds may take place if we can re-rent and given enough advance notice we should be able to do so.

Suggestions for Fastest Response:

We do request all inquiries have a PHONE NUMBER and the number of guests clearly stated. Please consider checking our calendar since we do our best to keep it up to date.

Maximum Occupancy & Booking Limitations

The maximum number of guests (as per HOA condominium rules) is strictly limited to eight (8) persons. An additional charge per person per night for guests in addition to five (5) will be assessed. IMPORTANT NOTE: Mariners Club Resort Security is very strict in checking for pre-registered guests. They will verify registered at each entry & will not allow ‘would be visitors’ into the community. (Mariners is the wrong place for trying to sneak in extra people as visitors or otherwise. Falsifying the number of guests will immediately void our contract.

About Jose

My wife and I have loved the Florida Keys for some time now. We visited for many years. Then we stayed at Mariners Club Resort and we decided to buy here. We closed the sale at end of 2013 and have fixed up our new 2nd home.

We know that we’ll spend many years coming to Keys to get away from long list of to-dos and simply reconnect. We get to spend quality time together while surrounded by all Key Largo’s natural beauty. It’s like we’re dating again, as we spend time in the sun during the day and then dress up-or-down to dine at local restaurants.

My love for my wife is #1, but fishing and boating is high on my list. Our family and friends join us often to go out on our boat for fishing, diving and snorkeling. Of course, we also participate in other local Key Largo adventures, such as swimming with the dolphins, jet skiing, and more.

Now you know a bit about us. But whatever your vacation reason, we know that a trip to Key Largo is a worthwhile fun. If you decide, take a look at our place. We attempted to create a nice and well-appointed place for ourselves and our friends to be comfortable.

While here take advantage of the extensive resort lifestyle that surrounds you… read and relax in the marble-floored clubhouse, work out in the fitness center, get drenched in the heated waterfall Jacuzzi, lay around one of the tropical pools during your stay in our Key Largo villas.

Why Jose chose Key Largo

We’ve stayed in many resorts, but for us Mariners Club Resort has always had a feel of home. I think that our biggest attraction is its irresistible charm and warmth. The grounds are immaculately maintained. This is what you would find in the finest luxury beachfront resorts in North America. Plus Mariners Club Resort has some spectacular poolside views of the Atlantic Ocean. A unique feature is the Grotto Cave Spa, which is situated along the marina.

What makes this townhome unique

Mariners Club is conveniently situated for us. It is close to Miami, Fort Lauderdale and even Palm Beach. Plus Key West is only an 1 1/2 leisurely and beautiful drive down.

Thank you, Jose & family for a the use of your condo / townhouse. The bed is especially comfortable and the Mariners Club Resort as a whole, has everything a vacationer could possibly want: security, location, amenities galore!! The pool and grotto are top notch.



Some of the things we ventured out to do started with a great breakfast (Mother’s Day) at Harriett’s. We continued south to explore and landed at Holiday Isles Harbor. There was great live music, “beachy” food, drinks and people watching.



A wonderful dinner place (there’s more than one!) in Key Largo is the Fish House (on Oceanside) - delicious & good service.



We took a day / evening trip into Miami’s South Beach (takes less than an hour with no traffic around noon). Bayside Grill has delicious food ~ we had hogfish dinner & mahi tacos.



We also had a noon trip on glass bottom boat inside the John Pennekamp Park. I suggest earlier trip (9:15AM) for a less crowded boat.



We enjoyed a fantastic play at the Marathon Community Theatre. (It’s right next to Cracked Conch & the movie theatre in Marathon – Oceanside.)



The Island Grill has awesome lobster roll sandwich and live music. We also stopped by Robbies to feed the tarpons. There is plenty to do here & only a short drive from this location.



Needless to say that we really enjoyed our stay – a perfect introduction to our first ever visit to Florida! Now we move on to experience Key West for the next leg of of our trip. Thanks again!

Great Pools / Lovely Comfortable Place to Stay!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days. Jose, the Property Manager, was a pleasure to deal with - responded quickly to any questions we had, and all arrangements for the rental went smoothly from beginning to end. It was our first time using VRBO and we were pleased at how easy it was to book accommodations. This is a lovely, clean complex. The condo is a small, well equipped and immaculately clean rental for a couple. Everything you could possibly need is available - from beach towels to a hair dryer. We enjoyed many of the local restaurants for our meals, but you could certainly make some smaller meals if you wished. The large pool was great for spending warm afternoons and the complex was lovely for a morning stroll - make sure you walk out to the pier. We would certainly stay here in future!

Comfortable and convenient

The condo is just the right size for two people. It is comfortable and convenient. The property is nice. I was able to run in the mornings just outside the gate on walking/biking trails. The condo has a small kitchen and refrigerator, so we had breakfasts and lunches in, then went out for dinner at night. There is no oven. There is a grill, but after initialing firing it up one night when I wanted to cook, it quickly fizzled. I would guess that it ran out of propane. I don't know if it's the management/owner's responsibility to supply the propane and for just one meal, I decided not to bother with it. There are conductive heating plates in the cupboards, but they both just beeped and gave me an error message. This wasn't a big deal for us as I didn't want to spend my vacation cooking anyway, but it's worth noting if you're planning to eat in during your trip. The manager, Jose, was wonderful and very prompt answering any of my inquiries, so I'm sure he would have taken care of this issue as well. The location is convenient to Key Largo and Isla Morada. There isn't a convenient place at the condo for dive gear to hang overnight, so we used our dive company's guest storage locker. The condo owner's keep the place well stocked. There was cooking utensils and ware. There was aluminum foil, garbage bags, salt, pepper, etc. Most common things are provided. The bed is comfortable, the shower was great, and there are two TV's, so it had all the amenities we needed. The property has two pools. The large pool was not relaxing. It was really hot and all three showers around it that I tried were broken. The upper pool at the clubhouse was very refreshing and I enjoyed swimming laps there in the morning. Overall, great vaca place.

Owner's Response: We truly appreciate your positive review and continue to make improvements based on feedback. Yes, I would have addressed your concerns immediately. For example, we will see about adding a backup propane tank for the BBQ grill. We add this to our unit, but it is difficult to track such extra items. (There are first come first serve BBQ's around the pools and marina.) Secondly, I will see about providing some easy to follow instructions for using our two hot plates and pans. The hot plates are induction burners which send most of the heat to the pan, rather than to the cooking surface. So you need to use specific pans. Otherwise, you get an error. Yes, we agree that the resort pools are simply amazing and prefect for relaxing. I will call maintance to assure showers are all fixed. This is very unusual. Please just reach out to us when you're ready for another warm get-away in the Florida Keys! Best Regards, Jose & Our Families

Adequate

This is a very nice complex with lovely pools and a marina. The unit we stayed in was adequate, but obviously not for the person who wants to spend much time actually at the condo. It is small with a bar sink in the kitchen and hot plates, very little counter space. The extent of amenities really includes only some beach towels, two beach chairs, and a couple of fishing rods. If you are looking for something fancy or a place that is well-stocked as far as kitchen or entertainment other than tv, look elsewhere. The manager, Jose, seems like a nice person, but we never did meet him or the owners.

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking your time to submit a review. But we feel strongly that we are more than adequate. First, we are best suited for a two guests, but you came with a family of four. Upon your initial inquiry, I reached out to you and we discussed the size of our condo for four guests. You indicated that you would make it work and no problem. Secondly. I did not meet you but I did stop by to bring your family two extra air mattresses to accommodate your special needs child. We also did a lot of extra unexpected work to accommodated your last minute change to your vacation without any extra charge. (So overall I think we treated you very nicely.) Thirdly, we are happy with our list of amenities (you forgot to add 2 tennis rackets and BBQ grill). Note that most rentals do NOT usually provide what we provide. In summary, if you wanted more space and more amenities, we have other places available and there are many listings (like ours) that give detailed information and photos as to what you will get.

Beautiful Complex with Great Pools by Excellent Dining!

The Mariners Club is a great complex to stay at! We love Key Largo and so far this has been our favorite place to stay; the pools are great, people are friendly and it is a nice place to come back to after an evening/night out. There are multiple great restaurants near Mariners, one right next door and many within a couple miles if you enjoy a good walk. The unit worked well for my boyfriend and me and was nicely-furnished. As a side note, we found the property manager, Jose, to be very nice and easy to communicate with.

Beautiful Key Largo Hideaway

Just as promised. Very clean well equipped condo. Even chairs and beach towels provided! As stated, there is no stove but we did just fine with the microwave, toaster and refrigerator. The complex is excellent! Fabulous pools!

Getaway here in this nice condo

We found this condo to be very nice. the location is great. The bed was quite comfortable and I am picky about beds. We enjoyed the pool on the grounds so much. It is a beautiful pool with a great view of the ocean. And I can't say enough about how friendly the owners and the property manager were. We would definitely stay here again.

We are in a quiet spot in Mariners Club, close to pools, grotto heated spa, beach area, marina, fitness center,and more. NOTE that it is best to rent a car to drive around in Florida Keys, but can also walk to a few select restaurants, sea shell store, dive shop, boat & jet ski rentals (all next door).

Unfortunately HomeAway, VRBO & VacationRentals has decided to add a 4% to 10% service fee for all booking processed through them. So the overhead fixed costs have just increased significantly..
