Quiet Retreat On Six Acres, Two Bedrooms, Sleeps 4-5 People (3 singles only)
About Roeby Simons
Owners Roeby Simons and Emily Coleman built this cozy home in 2005. We have lived in Montana for eighteen years and have been visitors to Yellowstone National Park and Chico Hot Springs since we discovered the beautiful Paradise Valley.
Roeby Simons purchased this House in 2000
Why Roeby Simons chose Emigrant
In the early 90's we visited Paradise Valley and looked for a permanent home here. We feel lucky to have found this piece of Paradise in the mountains, only two miles from US 89.
What makes this House unique
We know you will enjoy as we do the private peace and quiet of a beautiful morning sunrise over the Absaroka/Beartooth range, the sunsets and starry skies. You will appreciate, too, the clear mountain air, spectacular rainbows, local deer, migrating birds, access to local amenities, and a good hot spring soak.

Very comfortable little house with a great view!
This was the perfect sized place for our needs. We were on a hunting trip in the area, and only spent a few hours at night in the house. Everything is very accessible with a few small stores for immediate needs at the bottom of the hill. Livingston a short way to the north and Yellowstone a short way to the south. The owner was kind enough to meet us at the house for a late check in after our long flight. A wonderful first visit to Montana!
Stephen, Thank you for your nice review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry I had to change you extra, but my cleaner, who I trust, said it take more than twice the normal time to clean. Roeby
Nice quiet place to write, relax and is a good base for exploring
Very comfortable, nicely decorated small house with a spectacular view. Loved the living room/kitchen and back deck. Everything we expected and for a very good price. It is close to Yellowstone without the noise and expense. It is ten minutes from Chico Hot Springs and if you want a good burger just head to River's Edge (10 minutes). There were two of us and the place was absolutely perfect. If a couple had one or two kids it would be fine too. The description says it can sleep six and that would work but would be quite tight but certainly would allow saving money especially if you were out hiking all day and just need a place to sleep. Overall I rate this place highly. We expect to come back again. The owners are also very nice and available and make sure everything is as you want it.
Diana and Friend like many of our guest said they enjoyed their stay in our guest house for a number of reasons. They are a nice couple and we liked have them visit. They kept the house clean, but were able to enjoy spending time in the house as will as visiting things to do in the area, like hiking. We would recommend them to others.
Cute cabin with great views very wonderful host close to yellowstone thanks so much
A cozy little house with an amazing view. I loved sitting on the porch with my coffee and looking out over the valley. Owners were friendly and provided helpful tips about the area.
For the most part...disappointed
The place is very private. It is very small and in no way accommodates six people. There are two small beds that are uncomfortable and one would be hard pressed to sleep two adults. The third bed is a couch that is very narrow and uncomfortable as well. He has two futons which are put on the floor but this makes it impossible to walk around. The upper is separated from the downstairs and one needs to walk outside to access it. It is a modified basement. No shower and a strange toilet is shared with the washer and dryer.. The kitchen is tiny and makes cooking for a group difficult. Utensils are old, the kind your kids take to college. It is not within walking distance to the shops in Emigrant. We left the place as one would leave a hotel room and were charged for cleaning. The place was not trashed by any means and the shower was only used one time. I would never stay there again.
Wonderful first time trip to Yellowstone
Beautiful view, nice clean house
Owner is very nice and accommodating. We recommend staying here to anyone looking for a place to stay. The little town of Emigrant is sweet and I recommend a trip odow to the Old Saloon too.
