Get away to Montana! Wake up in the morning to the sun rising over Dexter Peak and an incredible view of the Absaroka Mountains. Look out the window and watch as Momma deer and her spotted fawns graze their way across the fields. Listen to the babbling of Mill Creek as you lay in bed and sip another cup of coffee. And that's just how you start your day!!
Our Montana cabin was built for you to enjoy all the amenities that Paradise Valley Montana has to offer. Stay at the cabin all day and relax or there's lot's to do. Don't want to cook? There are several nice restaurants within driving distance. Go downstairs and grab the bicycles and head up 'East River Road' guaranteed to be one of the scenic rides you'll ever do. Sit out at the picnic benches next to the seasonal creek and just relax. Visit Chico Hot Springs or take a 35mile drive to Yellowstone Park. Go fishing or hiking. Ski or snowboard? Showdown Ski Resort is two hours away and Bridger Bowl is about 65 miles away. Enjoy Montana!
We have started to build the main house next to the cabin. If the calendar is open for rental dates there should not be any construction or workers on the property. Call if you have any questions about the construction.

About Donna Cahoon
Larry and Donna are a pair of 'City Slickers' trying to build their dream vacation home in Montana. But with grand children and running a small door company in So Cal it's hard to find the time we would like to spend there. In 2014 we have started to build the house this has been a long time coming. If you rent our cabin in 2015 you will see that some ground braking has started and if you stay late in the summer you may see a house! Depending on how quickly we move. The cabin will not be available to rent during construction, as not to interfere with your stay.
Donna Cahoon purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Donna Cahoon chose Pray
Driving up highway 89, on the way to see Larry's sister in Livingston we were waiting for 'cowboy's' to clear the cattle off the road. Donna declared; I could live here!
What makes this Cabin unique
Walking distance to the Yellowstone river and Mill Creek for great fishing. Chico Hotspring is a short 6 miles away. Pine Creek and Chico both close by for night fun, live music. We have a great short hike near by to a beautiful water fall or do the full hike to the lakes! Parking at Pine Creek camp grounds is free.

Excellent location and very comfortable stay.
We loved every minute of being there!
Hope you find time to visit Montana again.
Great Montana vacation spot
A great secluded location but near some wonderful small Montana towns! Sunny and warm during the day, sat out on the deck at night to look at the sky full of stars. Peaceful and remote. Perfect location for day trips to Chico Hot Springs, Livingston, Bozeman, Gardiner and up into the Gallatin and Absaroka Mountains. Can't wait to come back - the owners were the nicest!
So happy we got to meet you both. Hope you return and enjoy Montana again real soon
Excellent holiday location
Great location and well appointed. Donna and Larry's place is well maintained and has all the amenities you need. Close to all sorts of hiking, white water rafting, Yellowstone National Park, restaurants. A little too quiet at night. You may need to bring your own recordings of traffic and sirens.
Haha, love the quiet part. So happy you had a good vacation.
Relaxing
We enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week while visiting Yellowstone. Nice and quiet place to relax. We loved the mountain view and watching the deer from balcony.
Perfect
My wife, two children, and I loved our time in this cozy garage apartment. It was a short drive to Yellowstone National Park and Gardiner, MT. If you like to fish, the apartment is a short distance from several Yellowstone River public access points. My wife and daughters loved Chico Hot Springs which is minutes from the apartment. The apartment is well furnished, clean, and has everything you need to have a great vacation. My wife and I loved drinking coffee and watching the wildlife from the deck of the apartment. We hope to have an opportunity to return some day. I would recommend that you limit your party to no more than four people due to the size of the apartment. I can not say enough about our experience. The apartment was absolutely a perfect match for my family and our vacation plans.
Bryan, thanks so much for the nice review. We hope you will return.
Remote but still close to Yellowstone
Clean and contains everything you'll need. The owner provides recommendations and is very pleasant. We stayed here because we wanted something slightly removed from all the touristy stuff right outside Yellowstone. It took us approx. 35 mins to drive to the northern entrance of Yellowstone. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to explore more of the surrounding Yellowstone area as well as anyone who isn't in love with the idea of staying in a motel with tons of tourists. Kitchen even had everything we needed to make waffles and pancakes! Bathroom was new and came stocked with everything - towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap, etc. Also, there's laundry! So you can pack light and not worry about getting dirty in the park.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay.
Location
We are located 6 miles from Chico Hot Spring. With 2 pools and 3 resturants, horse back riding, and spa. We are 1/4 mile from fishing on the Yellowstone River.
