Livingston Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Get away to Montana! Wake up in the morning to the sun rising over Dexter Peak and an incredible view of the Absaroka Mountains. Look out the window and watch as Momma deer and her spotted fawns graze their way across the fields. Listen to the babbling of Mill Creek as you lay in bed and sip another cup of coffee. And that's just how you start your day!!

Our Montana cabin was built for you to enjoy all the amenities that Paradise Valley Montana has to offer. Stay at the cabin all day and relax or there's lot's to do. Don't want to cook? There are several nice restaurants within driving distance. Go downstairs and grab the bicycles and head up 'East River Road' guaranteed to be one of the scenic rides you'll ever do. Sit out at the picnic benches next to the seasonal creek and just relax. Visit Chico Hot Springs or take a 35mile drive to Yellowstone Park. Go fishing or hiking. Ski or snowboard? Showdown Ski Resort is two hours away and Bridger Bowl is about 65 miles away. Enjoy Montana!

We have started to build the main house next to the cabin. If the calendar is open for rental dates there should not be any construction or workers on the property. Call if you have any questions about the construction.

About Donna Cahoon

Larry and Donna are a pair of 'City Slickers' trying to build their dream vacation home in Montana. But with grand children and running a small door company in So Cal it's hard to find the time we would like to spend there.

In 2014 we have started to build the house this has been a long time coming. If you rent our cabin in 2015 you will see that some ground braking has started and if you stay late in the summer you may see a house! Depending on how quickly we move. The cabin will not be available to rent during construction, as not to interfere with your stay.

Donna Cahoon purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Donna Cahoon chose Yellowstone Country

Driving up highway 89, on the way to see Larry's sister in Livingston we were waiting for 'cowboy's' to clear the cattle off the road. Donna declared; I could live here!

What makes this cabin unique

Walking distance to the Yellowstone river and Mill Creek for great fishing. Chico Hotspring is a short 6 miles away. Pine Creek and Chico both close by for night fun, live music. We have a great short hike near by to a beautiful water fall or do the full hike to the lakes! Parking at Pine Creek camp grounds is free.

Cute Country Cabin with Great Natural View and Urban Apt Amenities

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights and we totally enjoyed the place! The cabin is true to picture, and even cutter from the inside. We just appreciate so much how the cabin is well designed (not much experience living in the country).

When we arrived there was even a deer welcoming us (maybe the one in the owner's description)! in the morning/afternoon, we dined on the balcony - very pleasing view and weather! In the night the star view is incredible - I have never seen so many stars in my entire life!!!

The owner is so responding and nice in answering my questions and problems. Location wise, it is a 40 min drive to the north gate of the Yellowstone, which is not bad. The scenery along the road are very enjoyable, a special flavor of Montana.

We highly recommend this VRBO place to anyone. Just 45 minutes from the north entrance--great for anyone who wants to spend time in the Lamar and Hayden valleys of Yellowstone. The design and decor were carefully and skillfully thought out, complete with gorgeous juniper railings that perfectly fit the feel of Wyoming. The hosts were a pleasure to work with, and we'd return in a heartbeat.

When preparing to stay here, keep in mind that it's air conditioned by a floor unit in the kitchen. We didn't find this a problem, though, as all you had to do is open the windows after the lights were out (No-See-Ums) and it would be below 60 in the bedroom momentarily.

The little place is so well thought out we wanted to take pictures and mental notes home with us. The electric circuits are also 15 amps, so keep that in mind. We had tons of camera gear and we charged it all no problem.

We hope our next stay along our journey can come even close to this place. Great for a romantic getaway.

A perfect retreat for a honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

Wow… After spending a week and a half at this cabin I can't image going anywhere else when we go back out west. The cabin was great! It was very clean, well maintained, and the online description was quite accurate. We were able to sit outside on the deck and watch several groups of deer feed/play. The cabin is in a valley that makes the mountains look majestic and spectacular. We found the cabin to be a perfect location from the park, with being about twenty minutes away from the park, it was great to relax without the traffic or noise of all the other visitors in the area. The kitchen is very spacious and well stocked. The owners were amazing with answering every question we had and they were easy to get ahold of while being super friendly! Some places we enjoyed included Wildflour (The best cinnamon rolls EVER), Follow Yer Nose BBQ, and Yellowstone Lake Dining Room. After staying a week and a half and not having a problem we were really impressed. We can't wait to return.

We rented this for over flow for a family reunion and found it to be perfect. Clean, inviting and convenient. So close to the famous Chico Hot Springs. The iwnets are wonderful people and have done a great job on this retreat so close to Yellowstone.
