Old Florida charm on Boca Ciega, 5-min bike ride to Gulf beaches.
Great care was taken in this remodel project to maintain the character and style of mid-century design. Compact European appliances with clean-line cabinetry makes this space very live-able.
Very close to Corey Avenue Historical District with dozens of shops, restaurants, and bars within easy walking distance. Bus line and beach trolley stop is 1/2 block away. Beach is about 15-min walk away. Older boat slip fits up to a 25-footer (additional $95/mo for slip - no electricity to slip).
Isle of the Bay was built in the mid 1950's and caters mostly to snowbirds and early retirees. It's quiet and sunny. Perfect for active folks with a sense of nostalgia for vintage character and style in a new remodel. No hand-me-down furniture in this VRBO!

About the owner: We moved to Florida from San Francisco several years ago. We love travel, discovery, and adventure: Florida has fed our thirst for all. We live near downtown St Petersburg and enjoy sharing the area with friends and family. I guess we are nostalgic at heart and appreciate the character that comes with a vintage patina - some things just seem to get better with age!
Why the Owner Chose Corey Ave, Saint Pete Beach, FL, USA:
I have to confess, the boat slip. Cheryll likes to tell people 'Pete bought a slip with a condo attached to it.' True, but we both fell in love with this complex - the light that streams into the windows is amazing; the neighborhood is so very convenient; and our neighbors (including many seasonal guests from around the world) are really nice. It's a quaint place that really tugs at our nostalgic hearts. We had a great time renovating the property, and tried to honor the period in which it was built. While working on the remodel, I often thought of my long-passed grandfather who, starting in the 1960's, traveled from his New Jersey home to Florida where he loved walking, being outside, and fishing (he would have loved the fishing pier this place has). For us, vintage places just seem to build memories with more depth and emotion. We find ourselves smiling frequently when we're at this apartment and we hope this 'Old Florida efficiency' condo evokes a similar emotion with you.

Nearby shopping, restaurants, and bars. Grocery store is less than a block away - no need for a car every day. Corey Avenue, the down-town of St Pete Beach, is about 2-1/2 blocks away where you'll find shopping and a weekly street-market (farmers market and craft market).
