About the property

5-BR, 3-BA with pool on stunning 1.4 acre grounds in lovely Glen Ellen

Spacious indoors and out, a dining room and two large common rooms with masonry fireplaces offer gathering places to relax and wind down after a full day with a meal and fire. But honestly, the daytimes here are the stunner. The open indoor/outdoor format allows you to flow back and forth between climate controlled comfort and swimming in the large custom inground pool, perusing the many flower gardens, picking fresh produce from the edible garden in the back, lawn games, al fresco dining and refreshments on the deck, decompressing in the hot tub, or just letting the warm sunshine wash over you in one of the chaise loungers until you enter a Zen-like state. Time spent here will restore you.

Location? The heart of Sonoma Valley wine country. Several wineries are walkable, and dozens more are within a 5-10 minute drive. Hiking, biking, and picnicking in Sonoma Valley Regional Park, as well as guided nature walks in Bouverie Wildflower Preserve, are both a mile away. Charming downtown Glen Ellen is 1.5 miles down a country lane. The entrance to Jack London State Park and amazing hiking, picnicking, and historic buildings are two miles away; guided horseback riding is also available. The renowned Sonoma town square is 7.5 miles down Highway 12. Glen Ellen and Sonoma both offer great restaurants, Sonoma a wider selection. Your spirit of adventure will be met in full by the world class recreational activities at your fingertips.

The house itself is remodeled with abundant light from skylights, picture windows, and sliding glass doors. Almost every room has views of the lush, private back yard with extensive lawn, mature trees, and flowers in bloom most of the year. The house has 3 full baths including an en-suite master bath.

Beautiful Wine Country Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky to have gorgeous weather the entire time we were in Glen Ellen, and we took advantage of the property! While the house is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed, the real stunner is the property. The kids played in the yard, we swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub, and ate dinners on the deck. It was a perfect home base for exploring Kenwood, Glen Ellen and Sonoma - we'd definitely go back!

Fantastic Wine Country Retreat with Friends

  • 5 of 5

A group of us (8 adults) stayed here for my friend's 40th birthday wine weekend. It is a gorgeous house, very comfortable and spacious. There were plenty of beds, rooms, and space for everyone to come together and at the same time have our own space as needed. Like other reviewers have said, the kitchen is fantastic and fully equipped. The grounds are expansive for the area with a large pool, great deck, hot tub and great furniture. The neighborhood is in a wonderful location, with a winery down the street and very friendly neighbors. Upon leaving, we all remarked how this is a place we would love to rent again and in warmer months so we can take more advantage of the pool. Please note that the neighborhood gets VERY dark so we had to be very slow with our Uber drivers as we missed the driveway a couple of times. More on us all living in the city and used to much more city light in general. However, it meant for very quiet, dark, sound sleeping.

Outstanding holiday rental

  • 5 of 5

A group of us (5 couples) stayed here last weekend and we were all very satisfied with the accommodations. It is a beautiful house that is comfortably furnished and spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped, so plan to cook! The beds are all comfortable (although one of the bedrooms on the first floor is smaller and has twin beds and is ideal for children). The property is also amazing! The grounds are beautiful and very extensive. We loved the swimming pool (it was a very hot weekend). The pool is large and there are plenty of lounge chairs to relax in. The furniture on the large deck is also very comfortable. Several of our group also enjoyed the hot tub, conveniently located on the deck. Glen Ellen is also a beautiful town and very well situated for access to wineries, restaurants and the charming plaza in Sonoma.

Awesome stay in Glen Ellen

  • 5 of 5

Excellent property for a long weekend getaway to N. Cal. We were able to hop over the mountains and visit Napa with no problems, or stay local and enjoy Glen Ellen and Sonoma. There is an excellent winery less than a mile from the house. Downtown Glen Ellen is just down the road, and Sonoma is just a bit more. The property itself is expansive and was plenty of room for 9 adults. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, with people waving as they drive past. The owner is an excellent communicator and will be there for you throughout the stay. Highly recommend!!
