This four bedroom, three 1/2 bath home is located on Duck Lake in Twin Lake, Michigan.
Enjoy picturesque views of the spring-fed lake from all three levels of the home. A large wrap around porch and private porch off of the master all overlook the lake. The home is completely furnished in Northern Woods and Lake motif, including rustic and log, Amish-made queen sized beds in bedrooms (three queen beds, one twin).
Enjoy sunsets, peaceful mornings, calls of nature, hiking, kayaking, row-boating, and swimming. Fishing?
The Lake House is where you’ll find it all.
Our family live in Douglas, Michigan (Saugatuck-Douglas).
Greg Harvath purchased this house in 2007
We fell in love with the views. This little lake is a private little diamond in the rough.
It's our weekend home and we actually use it so you know it's well taken care of and maintained. An incredible retreat in the country.
We enjoyed our stay and we would book it again. I would suggest a new mattress for the master bedroom and there was not enough hot water to fill the very large tub, but we rented the property in Dec and perhaps the hot water heater was turned down to conserve resources, which is understandable. However, the house was excellent! Other than those two minor adjustments, I would not change a thing; I only mentioned them, so the owner is informed. For repeat business, a good bed is important. Thank you!
Hats off to an amazing weekend at a wonderful getaway!! The house is huge and in excellent condition! Easy to find and although houses on both sides it certainly gave us the privacy we were searching for! Bass were hitting hard while hundreds of geese were flying above. Less then 20 minutes to Muskegon so no worries if you need something. Plenty of blankets, pillows, towels and kitchen supplies. Overall my wife and I would head back tomorrow if we could! Thanks!
The house was great, especially the back deck with views of the lake. We enjoyed touring several nearby towns and also floated on the Pere Marquette River. It was a great week.
Very well maintained very modern with a rustic feel it's definitely a Hidden Gem. Greg the owner was extremely kind and courteous and easy to contact. The lake itself is gorgeous it's a great way to spend a weekend relaxing and even though there's homes on both sides it definitely has the feeling of being isolated. We had a great time and plan on coming back next year.
This visit would be our (my friends and I, a bunch of late twenty-somethings) 3rd time at the Lake House. We love it! We plan (if it's available, it books up fast!) on coming back twice a year, if we can. I am mad at myself for not leaving a review before now! The owner is very nice and gets back to you that day, if you have a question. It feels secluded, even though there are houses on either side. It certainly doesn't feel that way. Giant back yard and it runs right into the lake, which feels like your own personal lake! The row boat is accessible to guests and is so much fun! The house is always so clean and there are enough linens to go around. The picnic style table in the dining area is perfect for a big group. We have made so many wonderful memories around that table as well as in the house in general! There is a fire pit and plenty of chairs to set around it. We have been there in Winter and Summer and both times there are so many things to do and see. I would like to keep it secret so that we can use it whenever we want... but, I know that wouldn't be fair... ;) I recommend this place to anyone who wants to go and spend some quality time with the ones they love in a house that will help create the memories you will have forever!
