Perfect for families

Loved the lake, amenities, owners being next door and their beautiful orchard, the kayaks and small boat. It had everything you need and the owners were open and kind.

Quiet Lake

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a tranquil and relaxing stay. The lake is clean and quiet. The home was perfect for our family with a large gathering area, plenty of outdoor space and a bunk room. The owner lives next door and was available if we needed anything (which we did not) but did not intrude on us. The home was clean and well-maintained. The house is close to Lake Michigan, so we spent a day in Pentwater and a day at Silver Lake. We would stay at Pleasant Valley Farm again and would recommend the place to our friends.

From beginning to end, this home provided a positively memorable vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Great vacation home! Of all the choices we could have made for our extended family vacation, we chose this one in little Hart, Michigan. So very glad we did! The house with multi-levels was perfect for teens all the way down to the one year old. Lots of site seeing opportunities and lazy afternoons on the lake. The homeowner, Theresa, greeted us with a big hug, was most helpful with supplies and questions and we became fast friends. Our stay was truly more than we imagined.

Amazing Cottage on the Lake...Fishing, Kayaking, Swimming

  • 5 of 5

My family and another family rented this cottage for 6 nights. I was very happy with the communication from the owner of the home prior to arrival in answering all of my questions and she was very helpful upon arrival in showing us around the property/house. The house was even better than we hoped for! Pictures don't do it justice, it's nicely furnished and very clean and well taken care of. Along with the house though are the fantastic extras! A fishing boat with a small motor, a canoe, kayak and a couple floats for the kids to use in the water. Plenty of chairs to sit out on the deck, which has a BBQ grill. There were more chairs down near the water so you can relax, watch the kids play, and there's even a firepit to roast s'mores. There was also some yard games to play- bean bag toss, croquet. Inside there were dvd's and board games plus a Wii. FYI- there's only one working TV but it has cable. What we loved most was that there was so much to do right at the house!

There were 9 of us so we were provided with more than enough towels, including beach towels. Unfortunately there is no washer/dryer, but there is one in town 5 minutes away, next to the Hanson's grocery store and across the street is a great local farmers market. Also right there you can pick up the Hart Montague paved trail, great for biking, walking or running. Also a few restaurants in that 5-10 minute vicinity, That Place had good breakfasts.

The house also has everything kitchen-wise you would need, including some paper towel, zip lock bags, lots of dishes, cups, pots, pans, crock pot, etc.

Overall it was a fantastic time and we were very pleased.

We were undersold. Great value.

  • 5 of 5

The house is very private and so is the fire pit and beach area, back deck, and docks. There are no visible neighbors from the beach. Theresa was accommodating and helpful. We were able to bring the 15 lb dog, who is 8 months old, and that worked well. Had relatives over a couple of days and everyone had a great time. We rented the paddle board from the owner and that was great. I caught a bunch of largemouth bass the last day when I finally figured out to throw my night crawlers right along shore under the shrubs from the boat. We would stay there again. We were able to bring a verizon MiFi hotspot and had internet for everyone's devices.

Lovely vacation home

  • 5 of 5

My family had an excellent visit to Crystal Lake! The house is very big and has plenty of space for sleeping, dining, and hanging out as a family. Our kids loved the sandy shore of the lake and played out in the water for hours. The kayak and canoe were fun additions as well as the fishing boat. We loved having meals on the large deck and enjoyed the shade of the trees and the lake view. The house is stocked with everything that we needed to make it a home away from home. The owners are friendly, helpful, and kind. We would love to come back again next year!
