Great layout for multiple families

  • 5 of 5

Great layout for 3 families and their kids. Adults slept upstairs and kids slept downstairs. Furniture is a little dated, but kid-friendly! Loved having access to the water, where we kayaked and paddleboared. We cooked almost all of our meals there, and found everything we needed. We made a day trips to Port Townsend and Poulsbou. We also found Finnriver Farm and Cidery which had snacks as well. This is a great home for staying in or exploring the area.

Owner's Response: We are happy that we could accommodate your families so well. We always loved the number of day trips we could take to the mountains, or Straits, or rivers, but mostly we loved just staying home and enjoying the abundance of wildlife outside our windows. We look forward to having you as our guests again in the future. Thank you for your 5 stars.

Beautiful home right on the water-Plenty of rooms for a large group.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home with plenty of large windows out the back deck overlooking the water. The big common areas were wonderful to be together in and the kitchen was lovely too. With so many water views we felt like we were on a boat. There is not much beach to walk on right out the door but there are walks with in a fairly short drive from here. We highly recommend this place

Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at Ann’s “Piece of Paradise” home for our family reunion/golf outing! The house is large and spacious for big families and is very well equipped for cooking meals. The views of Hood Canal are spectacular. The location of the home is only 5 minutes away from Port Ludlow golf course. Next time we will bring kayaks and crab pots! Thanks Ann!

Owner's Response: We are pleased that you found our home to be large enough for your family and close to the golf course. The peace and beauty of Hood Canal is why we built our home there and we love it when our guests recognize and appreciate those qualities. Thank you for your great review and we hope you will be our guests again in the future.

Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

Although this was our 4th year to vacation at Paradise Bay, the breath taking views from the moment we cross the Hoods Canal Bridge and opening the front door remain amazing!! Ann’s home has become our favorite vacation home in so many ways. We feel so at home each year that we return. The house itself is a perfect fit for our large family. And having beach the just steps away for our little ones to enjoy is perfect, as well. Our days were spent taking family beach walks, jumping the waves, exploring the tide pools, building sandcastles, kayaking, climbing what our little ones have named “Whale Rock” and lots of giggling!! The porpoises, sea otters and seals made daily appearances, too!! We even saw an eagle fly overhead with a fish in its mouth!! Our nights included board games, reading and time to relax and enjoy others company. It’s easy to see why Ann refers to her home as “Our Piece of Paradise”...we are so thankful that she continues to share it with our family.

Owner's Response: As my loyal, repeat guests, I know I can count on your family being respectful of our home and still having an "all out" great time. I love the stories and comments from the children and am confident that you use every minute of your time there just enjoying one another. I look forward to having you as our guests next year.

Spectacular views and amazing location.

  • 4 of 5

The house was wonderful, with sweeping views and loads of natural light. Plenty of space to accommodate a large extended family. Water access is easy and great, and there are several tidepools nearby. There is also a very conveniently located ramp for launching a boat. Bring your crab pots! Bring your kayaks and SUP’s! This location is a great launch-pad for ranging exploration on the Olympic Peninsula – pacific beaches, rainforests, Port Townsend, and more. Wildlife was abundant; we saw river otters and porpoises, as well as many bird varieties all from the vantagepoint on the deck.

Ann was great at her communication and responded rapidly both before our vist as well as during our stay.

Owner's Response: One of the main reasons we have loved our home at Paradise Bay is because of the things you mentioned in your review; the abundant wildlife, the beach and the views, the variety of water activities that are just outside the door, and the nearness of many places to explore. Thank you for the great review and we look forward to having you as our guests when your family plans to meet for vacation again.

Great family vacation escape

  • 4 of 5

We had a family vacation here and it was great to wake up and fall asleep with the sound of the waves just outside your window. With low tide it was great to walk up and down the beach exploring the sea life and had river otters entertain us several times. The house was well set up to eat and enjoy each others time and if necessary for individuals to step away and get their nap time in.
