Views from all rooms!

  • 5 of 5

This house has fabulous views from the living room, kitchen, two upper bedrooms and two lower bedrooms. We spent quite a bit of time on the deck watching the otters, dolphins and sea lions cavort. The rooms are all good size and the house was clean and neat upon arrival. We used the place for our annual family reunion with six adults and three kids and had plenty of room. The little town of Port Ludlow was charming and there is even a nice inn at the Marina with a high rated (by Trip Advisor) restaurant where we had a very nice lunch. It is also a relatively short drive to Port Townsend and all it's shops and places to eat. We would definitely rent this place again. The beach is quite nice when the tide is out but nonexistent when the tide is in.

Owner's Response: We wish the beach was there all the time, but those tides have a mind of their own. We have so many great places to explore in our area; I am glad you were able to spend time finding some of them. Please consider us when you are planning your next reunion in our area, we look forward to having you as our guests again.

Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third year to spend Family Vacation at this amazing location. It is the perfect place for young and old alike. Our littles were up and dressed for a day on the beach every morning by 9:00 AM and were sad when the tides forced us up to the house around 3:00. There were sand castles to be built, long walks on the beach down to Paradise Bay, exploring along the way, kayak rides, sea otters and porpoises to delight all, submarines being escorted to and from Bangor, and daily visits from the Bald Eagle as he soared high above, dodging the seagull who was in pursuit. The mommies and daddies, Nana and Papa enjoyed relaxing on the beach, watching the littles have fun...or sometimes catching a few winks behind their sunglasses!! :-))

A highlight of our week was a VERY elaborate treasure hunt, complete with a pirate who had a parrot perched on his shoulder!! The clues led us to the buried treasure where there were treats for all!! In the evening, there were Scrabble games for the adults and rock painting for everyone. Once we arrive and unpack, we don't want to leave!! On the last day of our week long vacation, our littles were very sad to leave...there were tears from one and she announced "I'm not leaving!! I want to live here forever!!" She summed it up for all of us...our family has been blessed to enjoy this week together and so thankful to Ann for all she does to make our week possible . We are already looking forward to Family Vacation 2018 in this amazing location!!

Beautiful view, comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

Six adults stayed for four nights in this large and comfortable home overlooking the water. The house was well-equiped and clean. The owner was very accommodating, responsive, and easy to get a hold of. The neighbors we met were all very friendly. We would definitely rent this home again.

Great View and lots of room

  • 3 of 5

Very beautiful property, great beach ! The deck was very enjoyable, we used the fire pit area every night. Very quiet here. We were able to kayak right off the beach and the local community boat launch was right next door...... beware there is no dock so you need to beach your boat and climb on and off the bow. Beds were a bit too soft, Kitchen is very spacious but very old appliances. The property was clean but could use some general maintenance. we appreciated having Wifi available. It was a great trip and the property was worth the cost.

Relaxation and Laughter

  • 5 of 5

Upon walking in the front door we were amazed at the beautiful view of the water across the entire back of the house! 5 couples (siblings and spouses) got together for a family reunion. We had the best time both at the home and in town and the surrounding area. We enjoyed the fire pit as the weather was just spectacular. This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy others' company. The layout of the bedrooms allows for privacy and there is plenty of space to visit together. We would definitely return. The owner has always responded promptly to any and all of our questions. Thank you for everything!

Heaven on Hood Canal

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for the perfect place to host a family reunion, this big, beautiful beach house is it! We flew in family members from as far away as Washington, DC and Minneapolis, and they were blown away by the spectacular location, amenities, activities and wildlife sightings (bald eagles, otter and seal). We hiked to Mt. Walker viewpoint, kayaked in Port Gamble, took a ferry to Victoria, BC, made s'mores around the backyard campfire, enjoyed yoga and frisbee in the neighborhood park down the street and, of course, took beach walks every day with our Labrador, who loved swimming in the sea. The panoramic ocean views from the main living room and kitchen are like looking out from the bow of a cruise ship! The kitchen is well-stocked for making large family meals. The beds are extremely comfortable. We even enjoyed front-row seats to a professional-quality fireworks show on the 4th of July! Our whole family will always cherish these memories together.

The only advice I would give to future guests is to make sure you bring your own bath soap, which is not provided.

Owner's Response: Oh my goodness, I loved your review. Your family caught the excitement my husband and I felt every time we went to Paradise. We built the house so we and our children and their families could all vacation together, just as you have. We hope you can be our guests again in the near future and look forward to hearing from you when you plan your next reunion.
