Beautiful place and stunning views.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the mattress in the master bedroom had a sink hole on one side and needs to be replaced. Certainly not a deal breaker but was difficult to sleep on.

Owner's Response: Vern, Thank you so much for your input. I inspected the bed and found the wood slat support to be deficient. I replaced it with a new Steel Support System that will improve the sleeping experience. Thank you again for your input Dan Property Manager

Spectacular Views and Great Beach Access

  • 5 of 5

This condo has a truly world class view. It honestly is stunning. We've stayed in some other places that have offered great views, but this was right up there with the very best of them. It's situated near the top of the Dana Point headlands and as such, there was a great ocean breeze blowing in the patio doors most of the time. Doesn't hurt that it's also perched above one of the better beaches in southern California, very nice, pretty quiet, and with a decent surf break. The walk down the steps/path to the beach can honestly get a little tedious day after day, but that's par for the course being perched so high above the beach and with such an awesome view it is an acceptable trade off. Honestly, if you were just running down to the beach with a chair and towel it wouldn't be anything to even mention. It's great exercise. Just be aware that if you're lugging down a day's worth of gear for an entire family it can be a bit of a trek. The condo has been very nicely remodeled and has all the things you need to make a stay convenient. It's also located super close to all the shops and restaurants you could want to see in Dana Point and Laguna. Not that you'd want to spend a lot of time anywhere else - the view and the beach are really too amazing to want to leave. We will definitely be hoping to stay here again...sooner rather than later.

Chilling in Dana Point

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely perfect location in tranquil Dana Point. The view from this condo perched on a cliff above the beach was to die for. We spent much of our time sitting on the balcony watching the surfers and sunsets. It is just a short walk down a well maintained path to one of the best beaches in the area. The condo was well appointed and the property manager was very helpful. We hope to return again next year.

Incredible views!

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent 2 weeks at this condo and couldn't have been happier! The views from the front deck are absolutely AMAZING! Waking up every morning with coffee in hand and sitting on the front deck watching surfers was as close to nirvana as it comes. The inside of the condo is also extremely comfortable. The furnishings are very "beachy chic" and no matter where you sit in the living room or kitchen, your view is the wide open Pacific. The pictures truly don't do it justice! There were 4 of us in the 2br condo and we had plenty of space.

The master bedroom is very large and the back deck off the master bedroom came in incredibly handy. We used it even more than we expected because the strong, cool breezes off the ocean at night made it a bit chilly to sit on the front deck. The back deck at night was the perfect temperature and was VERY roomy. We also used the grill several times which was nice. We were initially concerned because of lack of air conditioning, but we didn't miss it for ONE SECOND. As a matter of fact, several of us wore sweatshirts at night with the windows and sliding glass door open because the breezes were so cool (the master bedroom also has a ceiling fan which kept things very cool).

The walking path down to the beach is just out the back door. It's a semi-popular path for locals to use, too, although never crowded. It's a source of GREAT exercise. The walk down the paved path has breathtaking views; the walk back up is challenging (110+ stair steps and then the paved path to get back to street level ) but like I said, a really great walk workout every day. I always took my time and rested between flights when needed (I'm 54 years old). And that beach is to die for!!

All in all, you can't go wrong with this property. We were happy from start to finish and would definitely rent again!

Beautiful vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the week we stayed at this beautiful home. The location couldn't be any better. The view was spectacular and with access so close to the beach below we were able to walk on the beach just about every morning we were there. The home was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoy cooking and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We were also very impressed with how quiet it was especially during the busy summertime. I highly recommend this vacation property.

Panoramic views abound in the natural cove that author and seaman Richard Henry Dana called, 'The only romantic spot on the coast.' Dana landed here during the hide trading days of the 1830's and described the charm of the steep cliff cove in his renowned book, TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST. In the days of the square rigged sailing ships, the rugged cove was known as BAHIA CAPISTRANO and was the major port between San Diego and Santa Barbara. It seemed only natural that this scenic cove was destined to become one of the most beautiful recreational harbors on the west coast.
