Casa Le Pigne is an enchanting 2000sq ft, single-level villa situated in a peaceful and panoramic position (600m altitude), overlooking the forests and gentle hills of the Chianti Classico wine region of Tuscany. We improve comfort at Casa le pigne every year ! in 2024, we installed AC, 2025 we replaced the heating, upgrade the pool and embellished the garden. 2026, we installed a sparkling and still filtered water dispenser. No need to buy heavy plastic water packs :) The property is private and calm (nearest neighbour about 500m away) and at 6km from the historic village of Castellina in Chianti. Castellina is world famous for Rocca delle Macie wine, along with hundreds of other tasteful wines. Castellina is also well known for its antique shops, delicious restaurants and the Saturday weekly market. The villa consists of: - 4 bedrooms (3 are en-suite) each with 2 single confortable beds (can be joined as King size) with AC, Ethernet and USB charging sockets *total beds : 8+ 1 140cm sofabed (1-2 sleeps) *total sleeps : 9-10 + 1 (or 2) baby bed - 4 full new bathrooms with shower or tub, bidet, washbasin and WC - a Spa in the basement with IR Sauna, Steam Bath, shower and WC. - fully equipped kitchen - large living/dining room with AC and a fireplace (500sq ft) - 2 terraces (one covered) equipped with tables and chairs for dining outdoor and enjoying the view. - external 7 places whirlpool open all the year - external fenced 6 by 16m pool open mid April - mid October (depending on the weather) The impressive 7-acre fenced garden All is perfect for taking time out to lounge while sipping a glass of local chianti wine or spumante. Surrounding the estate is more than 250-acres of wild countryside for unforgettable hikes immersed in untouched nature. 5 marked walks for every walking level. Other activities the area has to offer include: - sightseeing - horseback riding - wine tasting and vineyard tours - culinary tours and cooking lessons - archery lessons and 3D trail - thermal baths and spas - village fairs - wine and oil harvest season tours and visits (September, October, November) The main tourism season stretches from mid-April to the end of October with July and August being peak months. A great time to visit Tuscany is in the quieter part of the season: May or June for beautiful weather and less crowds and of course September and October during the harvest time to experience the wine making, right in the cellar where the activity takes place. I enjoy November at harvest and olive oil processing.
Casa Le Pigne is the perfect place for a relaxing and very comfortable holiday with friends and family !

Lovely property and setting, well maintained and rustic. Very private and town nearby was very charming. Jerome (host) was also very communicative and helpful.
We would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area. Jerome and Yasmine were both so helpful and friendly!! The home is clean, lovely and peaceful.
beautiful property that exceeded our expectations. looks even better in person than in the photos online. there was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 3 teenagers. the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful, and we all really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day. home was super clean, and the host was able to assist us with reservations at a local restaurant and buy groceries for us since we were arriving late in the evening. we would love to stay at this property again in the future. grazie mille!
The home is beautiful and perfectly fit the Chianti image we had when we booked. The host, Jerome, was extremely kind and helpful. He recommended a personal chef (amazing) along with a local pizza restaurant where my kids asked we eat 3 of 4 nights there. When my son had a persistent fever, he helped us get medical attention we needed. As a host, Jerome is as good as they come. We look forward to returning when it’s warmer so we can utilize the gorgeous pool on property. Can’t recommend this home enough.
Casa Le Pigne exceeded every expectation. Nestled in the peaceful hills of Castellina in Chianti, the property is a true retreat — quiet, beautiful, and incredibly well-appointed. Our family made full use of the hot tub, sauna, and steam room, which were perfect after long days of hiking the surrounding hills and forests. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked and a genuine pleasure to cook in. We picked up fresh ingredients from nearby Castellina and prepared several dinners together, which became some of our favorite evenings of the trip. The area wineries are also worth every visit. The undisputed highlight was arranging a private chef dinner with Mirella and Stefano. It was an unforgettable experience — intimate, delicious, and deeply special. If you stay here, do not skip this.We would return to Casa Le Pigne without hesitation and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing Tuscan experience.
The house was beautifully furnished, kitchen well stocked with everything you could need and the bedrooms were larger than expected. Bathrooms were wonderful with lots of hot water. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and spa areas. The pool was perfect but it was cool during our stay so we mostly sat in the lounge chairs surrounding it. The ping pong table was a hit with my family and friends.
Spent nearly a week in this charming and wonderful Villa. Surrounded by absolute beauty could not have asked for a better location for our family vacation to Italy!
This property was our most favorite of the 5 VRBO we stayed at in Italy. You will NOT be disappointed; it was absolutely amazing. The amenities were exactly as described, and the Kitchen was more than equipped with top-of-the-line appliances. The grounds keeper even brought us firewood for the fireplace. They even had heavy towel robes for each of us which was such an awesome touch to our entire experience.
I could not imagine a more beautiful place. Jerome was very responsive, very kind and patient with our requests. We had cycled through that exact area a year and a half ago, but didn't realized this place was right in there! The hiking trails, country feel, quiet and many peaceful seating areas gave everyone their own area to be if one needed to read or work. The design, layout and artwork were perfect. We are planning to return next year!
Our family had a wonderful stay in November. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. Nice and quiet, very relaxing. We had good recommendations and even a chef came in and cooked dinner. All good and recommend staying here.
Check in was easy. Communication was prompt. The house was beautiful, all the appliances worked easily. By far one of the nicest accomodations I have ever stayed at. Stayed with 8 others and there was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Not to mention the amazing outside property, views bush walks and some surprises along the way. MUST STAY.
The house was spectacular, even better than the pictures. Jerome and Yasmine were excellent hosts, super helpful and accommodating. The property was gorgeous , incredibly clean and very well equipped. I can’t wait to come back.
We had a wonderful stay, the property is in a beautiful location, the villa was very comfortable with all the comforts of home. The owner was always available if we needed him, and he was very gracious and accommodating. We really had a wonderful two weeks.
This property is located in an excellent area. It is less than one hour from the Florence airport. The nearby town of Castellina in Chianti is a nice small village. Many food options are available, there is a Coop grocery store and a very cozy walking street. There are four bedrooms that are very nice. Three of them have ensuite bathrooms and the 4th has a bathroom immediately across the hallway. We will most likely stay at this location again.
We enjoyed the tranquility and beauty at Casa Le Pigne! The home was so comfortable, well appointed and relaxing with views and natural vistas abounding. Great hiking, easy access to all Chianti villages and the larger hill towns in the region. The spa facilities were a a lovely addition! Loved it and will return- eagerly!
This is an amazing property. Close enough to cities like Florence and Siena, but remote so there is peace and quiet for a slower paced vacation. The local town of Castellina was perfect for us. Plenty of good restaurants, and a nice little downtown area limited to pedestrians. The views from the property are spectacular. The pool, hot tub and sauna are all very nice. It was hot during our stay and the air conditioning worked very well and it was a life saver. Our host was welcoming and helpful. The hiking trails throughout the property are a nice bonus. This place definitely deserves the top ratings it receives.
Le Pigne is a beautiful home situated on beautiful piece of land. After a spending the day exploring Tuscany towns, we enjoyed coming back on the villa to cook and enjoy the spa!
Jerome is a wonderful host. Thanks for sharing your home!

Hosted by Jérôme GLORIE
I'm Jerome, 70, I live part time in Castellina and part time in Brussels, Belgium. Education in Law and Criminology in UCL (Leuven) and Montreal, Canada. In Tuscany I'm now a farmer : I grow aromatics herbs strictly (and certified) organic : Lavender, Everlasting (or Curry plant), Melissa, Verbena, Rosemary, Sage, Cistus, Time, Rose and Geranium. I distillate them to produce exceptional essential oils and hydrosols. My products are distributed on internet and in boutiques in Brussels. In Brussels I have a small lab making organic cosmetics under the label "Immortelle de Toscane", where I use my essential oils and other organic ingredients to produce niche products with genuine receipts : Anti-Aging cream, Sensitive Skin balm, Hand Care balm, Body oil... I love nature and culture, and therefore is Tuscany a perfect match.
Why they chose this property
I love Italy since i'm a teen. The sounds, smells, tastes and flavours, all..., and I discovered Tuscany at 18. An immediate 'coup de foudre'. I come in Castellina for vacations since 44 years now. It was always my dream to buy a house here, in the forest and wild surroundings. I am so happy to stay here, walking around and working hard to grow aromatic plants, harvest and distillate them to produce my organic essential oils. People here are fantastic, helpful, hard and inspired workers.
What makes this property unique
The Chianti area: fine wines and good food, The view, the Nature, the Air, the Magic Cypress Circle, the 10 feet high Mushroom. All the Italian Renaissance culture at your fingertips ! I come here every winter and i adore this season : fresh air, clear light, less people so i can see more wild animals, also the smell of the open fire...
