En las laderas de Mauna Kea, a 1200 ’por encima del pequeño pueblo de Honomu, se encuentra la gran cascada de Akaka. Cerca, en la cima de una colina, se encuentra nuestro pequeño pedazo de paraíso privado. La casa da a una vasta franja del este de Hawai. Desde el azul de la bahía de Hilo hasta la cima de la montaña de Mauna Kea, y a través de millas de la costa de Hamakua. Puedes ver vistas de esplendor verde desde esta casa que se encuentra en quince acres que bordea un arroyo. Este entorno idílico y la comodidad de esta casa le dan un impulso a su espíritu. Te alejas de todo, siente.
La casa principal de arriba tiene entrada privada y uso exclusivo de bañera de hidromasaje y lanai. Hay tres dormitorios y dos baños, una cocina totalmente equipada, comedor con capacidad para 6 personas. Abrir lanai tiene una bañera de hidromasaje para relajarse después de un largo día disfrutando de las vistas.
El dormitorio principal tiene cama king size, baño contiguo. Las otras dos habitaciones tienen camas queen que comparten un baño completo. Cada habitación tiene una vista increíble.
Este es un lugar único para escapar.

Lovely relaxing getaway in Honomu

Could not have asked for a more perfect vacation rental. Very well appointed and accommodating, beautiful view and location, so relaxing and fun. Wonderful hosts too!!

The views from this property are stunning! We saw some of the most amazing sunrises here. The property is also very well appointed, with everything you need in the kitchen and even had blow dryers in the bathrooms. The onsite caretakers, Krystle and Alec were great at answering questions (including what was OK to feed the two resident donkeys)! The owner, Andrea, also answered questions promptly and provided great directions to the property. The location of this property was one of the best features to us. Close enough to Hilo but far enough away to feel like we were getting away from it all. The little town of Honomu is just minutes away and has a wonderful little café, The Hive. You are also minutes from Akaka Falls, and an adorable goat dairy where you can feed and play with baby goats. There is also a new convenience/hardware store not too far away so you can get some basic groceries without having to drive all the way to Hilo. “One Spot” is located at 28-2903 Hawaii Belt Road, Pepe’ekeo, HI. We loved our stay at this property and would not hesitate to come back.

Simply Amazing

My wife and I have stayed at numerous time shares on the Hamakua Coast and this one is now our favorite. The home is spacious and comfortable and the views are out of this world. Highly recommend this property.

Great house in great location!

We just spent a week at this wonderful property. Great view, very comfortable home, and well stocked. It felt remote and very relaxing...but also just a quick trip into Hilo for dinner. The owners, Andrea and Brian, were very responsive and accomplish, thank you! We had a great trip.

Rainbows & nature

Fantastic stay, we loved the view and the rooms, bedding, towels, kitchen, outdoor room, laundry, screens on the windows - we loved the open windows! The hot tub was fantastic with views of the stars one night. So happy we chose this property instead of staying in Hilo.

Beautiful views, very peaceful.

We had a wonderful time staying at the "Akaka Falls house". The property felt very remote, yet was close enough to town. The ocean and pasture views were amazing. Overall it was very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed being so close to Akaka Falls, which we walked to several times.

Visiting Family

We were visiting Hilo for my dad's 80th Birthday celebration and took a mini staycation. While the location is farther out of Hilo than we normally stay, Honomu was perfect. The view was absolutely amazing! The home was nice and clean and more than enough space for the three of us. Gazing up at the stars at night in the jacuzzi was the highlight of our stay. Mahalo for sharing your home with us.

Jean and Jim Lievens purchased this property in 1991. They first started with the infrastructure and later the farm house on a site which captures quite a view. Jean loves this special area and has decided to share this lovely spot with other travelers and friends. Though the farm is not yet developed, a plan is in place to create a botanical garden. Guests and friends will enjoy watching this verdant land come alive. This property is managed by Brian and Andrea Lievens.
