DAZZLING VIEWS OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND THE ALBION BRIDGE

This stunning custom home was built to take advantage of the ridge top views of the Albion River and Pacific Ocean. The great room and both the master and second bedroom have spectacular views of the ocean and the Albion River Bridge, the largest wood trestle bridge remaining in California.
We just installed a Starlink wifi system so our home is perfect for remote working!
Ideal for large families or groups, the home has an open great room with sectional and couch plus 2 corner chairs for perfect sunset viewing! We find many guests come to the Mendocino coast to attend or be in a coast wedding and prefer a home environment to a hotel. Dining table seats 8+ with additional seating of 3 counter bar stools off the spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. Renters remark how fully equipped the kitchen is for family cooking and holiday renting. 50” flat screen TV in great room plus 2 additional televisions, wifi and a Baldwin piano. There is a pool table, darts and a number of board games and puzzles. The area recently has added a Verizon tower for cell coverage and we have a landline with unlimited long distance.

We have a 220 volt car charger with a standard J1772 connector on the property for renter use.

Sleeping accommodations include queen beds in both master and second bedroom on main floor, queen in downstairs bedroom, two twins in a trundle/day bed set up in the game room, and carpeted sleeping loft accessible from ladder in great room with queen mattress.
There are gas fireplaces in both the great room and master. A large slate front patio includes a gas barbecue and a gas/wood fire pit with abundant seating. Bird feeders attract many varieties of birds to our ridge-top perch.
Hot tub/spa on raised deck off master along with Jacuzzi tub in master bath both afford ocean views.
Should power outage occur during storms, backup generator provides electrical power to entire house.
Home is 10 minutes south of the village of Mendocino, 30 minutes south of Fort Bragg, 15 minutes north of Elk, 5 minutes south of Little River. Nearby restaurants are Ledford House, Albion River Inn, the Heritage House and Little River Inn as you head north to Mendocino where there are many more fine restaurants, including Cafe Beaujolais. Nearby beaches include Albion River, Navarro River Beach, Big River and Van Damme. Home is ¼ mile off Route 1 with Albion Market and a Harvest market in Mendocino. This property was exquisite! My family and I came for my son's wedding in Albion and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming home. We only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor spaces (including a gas fire pit) more. We are a big cooking family (my husband's a chef) and we found everything we needed to create a wonderful dinner, including the generous bottle of wine. Even though the pictures on your site are beautiful, we found it even more gorgeous with beautiful artwork, a veritable library of books, and views that took our breath away. To say I recommend this property is the understatement of the year! I hope we have the opportunity to revisit in the not too distant future. Thanks you so much for your hospitality and clear communication during a time full of planning.

Wonderful stay!

This house is even nicer than it looks in the pictures! We stayed here with 6 adults and two kids and it was a perfect setup for us. Living room is so cozy with a beautiful view, kitchen was well stocked, and the kids loved climbing up to the loft and watching VHS movies in the den downstairs. Plenty of space for our group of 8. The area was beautiful, fun beaches for exploring nearby, and we had plenty to do even though it was rainy. Would definitely stay again!

The house was everything we needed and a whole lot that we didn't need but absolutely loved. Patio views, hot tub under the stars, nicely stocked kitchen, cozy reading corner, comfortable beds, etc. etc. Would love to come back.

Retired from healthcare careers, Gary loves the outdoors and kayaks in the several nearby rivers while Dianne enjoys inside activities including fiber arts and reading. We feel very fortunate to have purchased this beautiful ridge-top home overlooking the Pacific and Albion Bay and look forward to sharing it with you!
