Buckingham Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Nestled in a small, quiet neighborhood, just four blocks from Historic Old Town

The location of this 1929 cottage is hard to beat when it comes to taking in Fort Collins’ best. Microbrew enthusiasts will love the proximity to large and small breweries, with over 10 within walking/riding distance. Just four blocks away in Downtown, shoppers will appreciate the locally owned specialty shops, featuring kitchen wares, boutiques, spices, and much more. Foodies have a wide range of dining experiences to choose from, and there is also a vibrant nightlife for those looking for a evening out on the town. Finally, if the Colorado outdoors is what you seek, the Poudre Trail is just a stone’s throw away, connecting walkers, runners, and bike riders to over 30 miles of paved trails.

We have gone out of our way to ensure your stay is comfortable. The kitchen has everything a vacationing chef might need. The family room has a 42” flatscreen TV, with Direct TV and wifi, and an extra long, super comfortable sofa. Linens are luxury hotel-quality. The fenced-in, expansive backyard provides an additional gathering space for vacationers and their guests/pets.

In the spirit of minimizing our impact on the environment, all provided soaps and detergents are sulfate-free and most cleaning operations are green.

About Dawn Nannini

Both California natives, we moved here to attend Colorado State University. Before long we started our family and knew that Fort Collins would be our forever home. We especially love the Old Town area and have always lived within biking and walking distance. We are certain that you, too, will fall in love with Fort Collins' Old Town.

What makes this cottage unique

The charm of this Old Town gem can't be beat. Nestled in a quaint neighborhood and sandwiched between two of Fort Collins' most famous micro breweries, there is plenty to enjoy and all within walking distance. Breweries routinely host live entertainment, outside festivals, and tours. Once the breweries close down for the evening, Old Town is known as one of Colorado's best entertainment districts.

Beautiful house. Perfect location

Lovely quaint little house. Perfect backyard for our two dogs. Two blocks away from New Belgium brewery. It can accommodate more than one vehicle in driveway if needed.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and two dogs were looking for a getaway place and found exactly what we were looking for. The cottage was within walking distance to breweries and Old Town. The New Belgium tour is well worth it even if you're not a beer lover. We took a short drive every morning to find a walking trail to explore different parts of the La Cache Poudre River and Horsetooth Reservoir. It was an easy day trip to Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. The cottage was very clean and had every thing we needed. The back yard was perfect for our dogs. It was hot while we were there, but with the windows open and fans provided were very comfortable, and of course at night the temps cooled down. Dawn was very accommodating and was easy to contact. We will definitely use this cottage again when we decide a Colorado getaway is what we need!!

Location great but disappointed otherwise

  • 2 of 5

First, this home was clean and located perfectly for our stay as we were there visiting family in Fort Collins. However, there were so many little things/inconveniences that made this vrbo rental frustrating. The bathroom; first, the standard shower curtain while decorative should be hemmed at least 3 inches so it doesn't just lay in the bottom of the tub. That would take someone about 20 minutes. Second, there should be a full length mirror on the bathroom door. The tiny mirror that is stomach height over the sink doesn't do the job (can't get ready in there at all) and you can get a full length mirror for the door for $6. Lastly, the bathroom door knob should be screwed on. It landed on the floor several times during our visit and if we had had a screw driver we would have done it ourselves. The Kitchen, the refrigerator door (freezer door also) needs to be reversed, the frig could easily open into the kitchen area and be so much more user friendly (instead of opening out towards the front door and being a real pain). Again. would take maybe 10 minutes to do. Lastly, the advertisement says there is direct TV and to use the channel guide to know what channels you get, etc. We only got the first 100 channels and 95% were infomercial channels. We had zero news channels all week Once you got above the first 100 infomercial channels you get an error message or the picture would come and go. Owner needs to call the provider if paying for a better plan or advise renters of what is really available. We were out most of the time but really missed the TV late night or when getting ready in the mornings.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for our trip. Dawn was very prompt to help us out with any concerns. The back yard was

a great place for our pups to play. We enjoyed every part of being close to town, we walked to old town often. We plan on

staying, if Dawn will have us, next year when we visit our daughter in old town.

A comfortable and relaxing little cottage

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this cute little house during a sheep herding trial and training camp. It was so nice to come home to a comfortable and well maintained home for a midday rest in the heat. The evenings in the backyard with the dogs were just what we all needed to unwind and relax and the proximity to local breweries was a plus!!! We plan to be back next year!!! Thank you Dawn for making our stay so enjoyable.
