Access our eight acre property through a private electric gate at the bottom of the long driveway .
There are 63 undeveloped acres next to us, and three neighbors on bucolic three acre sites on the other side. Kanuga Conference is just across the road from our property.
It's very peaceful here with abundant wildlife. The area has wild turkeys, an owl who lives near our driveway hill, many rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, deer, foxes, coyotes, bears, geese, ducks, birds of all sorts, and fish in the pond. Hendersonville is a bird sanctuary, a nature lovers paradise.
No security cameras or decibel monitors on the property.
We are dog lovers and welcome well behaved dogs. Limit of two dogs. All dogs must be at least two years old and housebroken, spayed or neutered, non-marking, non-aggressive, well socialized dogs with current vaccinations and flea/tick treatment. Your dogs can run free off leash, if you like. We caution against small dogs running free, as there is an owl and hawks living here. We have dog dishes and dog towels.
Sorry, we are allergic to cats and can't have them in the cottage.
Thank you for taking time to read this. We hope to host you soon.

About the host
Hosted by Brian Shapiro
We are retired from our jobs in Miami--general contractor and after school program director. We moved to our family Hendersonville, NC vacation home to enjoy all the area has to offer.
We sometimes grow hydroponic lettuce and have a commercial lavender crop.

Why they chose this property
Our family has owned the property for 50 yrs. We have always loved it and the location close to town and wilderness. Our family built two additional cottages to house family members when they come to visit. When they're not here, we rent them as a vacation properties. Enjoy rural peace and quiet and scenic wilderness nearby or restaurants and shopping in town.
What makes this property unique
Dog friendly. Luxury accommodations on a working farm. Close to area bike parks. Location, location, location.
