Relax on the front porch with friends and family while enjoying the gentle breeze off the Atlantic Ocean. Or sunbathe on our new second floor deck overlooking the vast expanse of sky and ocean. This beach house was made for families with upstairs and downstairs living rooms, plus deck and screened porch with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves.

This spacious family beach house was just renovated in 2012. All new appliances, granite counter tops in the kitchen, new bathrooms and a huge new second floor deck with views 'to die for!' Ocean Dream is located at 3002 Palm Blvd. on the front beach of the Isle of Palms. Lots of sun, sand, wind, and water. Perfect for beachcombers, turtle watchers, kite flyers, and sand castle builders of all ages. No more lugging beach paraphernalia across busy streets and hot sand to get to the ocean. Gorgeous water views from a long screened-in porch, upstairs living room, and two of the six bedrooms. RV hookup for single RV, 50 amp, water and sewer. EV charger.

Screened porch, two king-size bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, one queen, and one bedroom with two double-size beds. Satellite TV upstairs and down with 3 TVs. Gas grill under house with picnic tables. One hundred yards to white-sand beaches. Plenty of room for entertaining friends and family. Ample living space on both floors. Two outdoor showers under the house.

The property was as advertised. They have made the most out of all the space in the house. We loved the screened porch. All meals and family game night was on the screened porch. Perfect location on the beach and great back yard. Kitchen is a little tight with not a lot of cabinet space for groceries. Very clean and comfortable.

My mother and father walked the beach on the Isle of Palms when my father was on leave from the European theater in WWII. They found the prettiest spot on the island and marked in with a giant X in the sand. Then they went directly to the Beach Company and bought it...I think they paid $5,000 for it which was an enormous sum at the time. After the war they built what came to be known as a "J.C. Long House." It was a small cinder block house--3 bedrooms, 1 bath, side porch but it suited our young family just fine.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in our family since the 1040's. If you've a mind, you can read all about the history of the house in a small volume I wrote entitled, THE ISLAND THEN AND NOW. Amazon has it or you can read the house copy when you arrive.

What makes this property unique

Spectacular location, views and amenities. Upstairs and downstairs living rooms, wonderful screened porch and upper deck. Plenty of room to spread out for a multi-generational group.

Just added a new bathroom this year and a boardwalk over the dunes for easy access to the beach.
