Obviously, the natural beauty, spectacular views and abundance of wildlife played a major role as well... off of the beaten path overlooking Fish Creek and a beautiful golf course with trails aplenty for any family large or small to wind down at the end of the day. The views are spectacular and the mountain fragrance is unforgettable. Estes Park has major horse shows, many different types of festivals, rodeo and a Fourth of July fireworks celebration that rivals Denver. Why Jody Lockhart chose Front Range

We had traveled to beautiful Estes Park many times over the years, and decided it was time for us to own our own piece of paradise, we purchased our first property in 1980, since then when an adjacent parcel became available, we continued to add to our 'Little World'. We are so fortunate to have the benefits of tremendous views of the golf course, snowcapped mountains and overlook the peaceful waters of Fish Creek.

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I absolutely loved staying at the home during out time in Estes. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and spacious enough for all 7 of us to be in at once without feeling too cramped. The location couldn't be beat being so close to the downtown area. Highly recommend to anyone and would certainly stay here again!

Gorgeous views!

  • 5 of 5

We came up to EP with a big group of ladies for a fun weekend get away. Had the best time and were thrilled to have so much beauty and privacy right out our front (and back) door! The house was super clean and organized. Jody was great to work with! She made the entire weekend really easy for us. I love that the house has so much private land surrounding it but is also just minutes from town. We would all come back and stay here again!

Beautiful cabin, great views, plenty of room!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled with 3 families (including 9 kids!) and had plenty of room. Jody was amazing to work with! The cabin was clean, well prepared with everything we needed. The pictures do not do this cabin justice. The view from the deck that goes the length of the front of the cabin is breath taking. We loved have coffee out there in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings. Very close to downtown Estes yet felt secluded. The cabin is built into the side of the mountain and the kids loved exploring and watching wildlife. We hiked extensively, loved white water rafting, and exploring RMNP! We would definitely stay at Aspen cabin again!

Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Vista View Cottage and Aspen Cabin for a week in August. Both houses have a well stocked kitchen and a great floor plan layout. The bedrooms are well laid out so they are quiet at night. There are plenty of towels and full-sized bathrooms. Both houses were very clean. The houses are located far enough from Estes Park that it's not noisy, but near enough to run quick errands. They are located close to Rocky Mountain National Park where there is lots of hiking. We drove to Fort Collins one day for white water rafting; and another day to Grand Lake. There is also plenty of wildlife around the houses for viewing too. The owner and manager are easy to work with. We had a range of ages staying in both houses and it worked so well, I would definitely stay here again.

Large Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our large family of 15 (plus a new grandbaby) stayed in this beautiful cabin for a week in mid-July. It was clean, tastefully decorated, with nicely updated features. Even with our extra--large family, there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms, tons of plates, coffee cups, silverware--all we needed. (The only two things I really missed from home were an extra large stock pot and a waffle iron--so made pancakes on the griddle instead.) The large gas grill on deck worked great for cooking dinner outside. Kitchen was a bit small for multiple cooks, but we made it work. The floor plan worked well for our newlyweds, and new baby had his own spot in the "sleeping porch." The views from the cabin are suberb--out front to Ypsilon and Mt. Chapin, west to Long's Peak. Our family hiked extensively (3 climbed Long's Peak), kayaked, explored Estes, and had a truly wonderful stay. We really loved the privacy of this cabin--even though the other two homes are near, there is a nice feeling of being quiet and alone! The smell of the pines, and the sound of the wind in their tops is still calling to me.

Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Aspen Cabin for a week in June 2016. Some extended family members stayed in Vista View Cottage which was just a very short walk away. Aspen Cabin is conveniently located close to shops, restaurants, the grocery store, trout fishing, and of course, Rocky Mountain National Park. Adults and children alike reveled in our close up views of elk and deer. One deer even found a nice resting place right under the deck! We made most of our meals in the cabin and it was very well equipped. The property manager was very accommodating and helpful and she always responded to questions very quickly. We received our refund check for the damage deposit very promptly. We so enjoyed our stay in beautiful Colorado!

About mid-September, the balcony is your front row seat as the Aspen turn the Mountainsides into a shimmering gold and sounds of mating calls fill the air... Elk watching is very popular at “The Aspen Cabin” as we may boast having hundreds of elk within a stones throw. Golfing just two football fields away and all the awesome activities associated with being in Estes Park the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park!
