Jody Lockhart purchased this Cabin in 1980
Why Jody Lockhart chose Estes Park
We had traveled to beautiful Estes Park many times over the years, and decided it was time for us to own our own piece of paradise, we purchased our first property in 1980, since then when an adjacent parcel became available, we continued to add to our 'Little World'. We are so fortunate to have the benefits of tremendous views of the golf course, snowcapped mountains and overlook the peaceful waters of Fish Creek.

We traveled in a group of 30 from Florida and occupied the cabin and lodge. Everything was very beautiful, spacious, and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here and have zero complaints! This place really made our vacation memorable we were all very happy with the location. Jody was great and very easy to contact. Thank you, Jody!
We stayed the week between Christmas and New Year's and it was great. We had a group of 8 so the size was perfect (especially the 3 bathrooms!). We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone!
clean, comfy and close to wildlife
bobcat kits on the deck, and elk all around. lovely stay. very comfy property. can't wait to come again!
It was the perfect home away from home for the week!
We had an outstanding time in the Estes Park area on vacation. It was great being able to stay so close to town with all of the things to do right at our finger tips! The house was well kept and a great hub for us to work of work all of our day trips! We will definitely keep this in mind for any other stays in the future!
Wonderful cabin with lots of room for a large group to spread out.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Very well equipped home had everything we needed for the week. Was nice to be able to wash clothes too. About a five minute drive into Estes park and maybe 10-15 minutes to the park entrance. Wouldn't walk it. Beautiful views of mountains off the front deck and up a grassy meadow to the back. Current construction on fish creek road will ultimately result in a pretty walking trail along the creek.
Great Place to stay with kids
Such a wonderful place to stay on our July vacation. We had four families all together and there was plenty of space inside and outside the cabin. We saw elk almost daily around the property. We also had room for parking our four vehicles and our kayak trailer. The bathroom in the bunk room was perfect for the kids. We spent hours on the deck outside and the view was amazing. We used the grill daily. It was great getting away from the crowds in downtown Estes.
The cabin is minutes away from Lake Estes and the Rocky Mountain National Park
About mid-September, the balcony is your front row seat as the Aspen turn the Mountainsides into a shimmering gold and sounds of mating calls fill the air... Elk watching is very popular at “The Aspen Cabin” as we may boast having hundreds of elk within a stones throw. Golfing just two football fields away and all the awesome activities associated with being in Estes Park the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park!
