About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Handy getaway in Seaside

 • 4 of 5

Nice 3 bed that sleeps 7. Not the most stylish but clean and comfy. Nice large kitchen if you like to cook (I do). A short walk to the beach with a back area for enjoying the breeze. Quiet neighborhood!

Clean, but missing some things

 • 3 of 5

Pros:

The house is in a good location on a quiet street a few blocks from the beach and close enough to walk downtown (I didn't, but my kids did and I'd guess it's maybe 1/4 mile)

There's a grocery store a couple of blocks away and a café that has awesome scones.

The house was very clean with two full baths: one in the master and one other. Good size and plenty of room.

Washer/Dryer in the garage with soap packets.

Nice TVs in master and living room.

Cons:

Although the master has a big walk-in closet there is no dresser, no shelves, not a single drawer! Just a few hangers.

The dishwasher was broken and there wasn't a dish drain to put your dishes after you washed them by hand. (Actually, I realized on the last day that the dishwasher could have served that purpose as it was right next to the sink)

The yard is all gravel and not maintained (weeds poking through, blackberry brambles looming over the fence) There was a table and chairs set up, but it wasn't really a place you'd want to hang out. Not fully fenced so you couldn't have dogs or small kids out there without watching them,.

It's described as 'chic'. Not. Looks like the owners spared EVERY expense in what appears to be a fairly recent remodel. I don't know how well it's going to wear.

We had an issue with starting the gas BBQ and I called and left a VM. We eventually figured it out, but while I think they DID call back, they didn't leave a VM.

I found the welcome book stashed in a drawer while I was looking for something else. I could be mistaken about this because I just glanced through it, but I don't recall any instructions on how to use the TVs (2 remotes, Direct TV) so we just pushed buttons until it worked.

It would have been nice if there were some books to read - most places I have stayed at have a bunch of paperback "beach" reads.

Clean and good location, but...

 • 3 of 5

Master bedroom had walk-in closet but no dresser, shelves, or even a single drawer! And only a few hangers.

Dishwasher was broken.

Backyard is all gravel with lots of weeds - not the kind of place you'd want to hang out or let your kids play.

It was clean and there was plenty of space, but furniture/finishes were cheap.

The location is great: quiet street a few blocks from the beach. Grocery store and café (fabulous scones!) are also very close.

Owner's Response: We apologize for the broken dishwasher. A new one has been ordered and should be installed soon. Thanks!

My Vacasa Stay was Good.

 • 4 of 5

The house we rented was in very good condition and resembled the pictures pretty close. The house was clean and well put together. Everything worked except one tub was out of order. We all enjoyed our stay.

Affordable spot with dogs

 • 4 of 5

We were happy to have an affordable option that allowed us to bring our dogs. It was a tidy and clean space. The master bed was way too soft for us. It kind of swallowed you and you couldn't easily roll over. Great central location. Close to the beach. Close to stores.
