About Eric Lowe

Our favorite place for to go and relax is Seaside. We bought and furnished Chateau for our own use. Realizing we aren't able to get away very often, we decided to allow guests to stay there and enjoy our relaxing home. We both teach college classes and have 3 grown sons and 3 wonderful daughter-in laws.

Eric Lowe purchased this townhome in 2003

Why Eric Lowe chose Northern Coast

Seaside is so much fun for every age with so much to do. We love to bike and it is the perfect place for biking with few hills and wide streets. We also love the beautiful view from Chateau and enjoy sitting inside in all kinds of weather looking at the river and the mountains.

What makes this townhome unique

Walking to everything and parking the car! Walking along the prom always refreshes us and going out to dinner in the evening without getting in the car is an added bonus. The view of the ocean is lovely, with no sand in our shoes! The hot tub and fire pit are a nice amenity to use in the evening after sight seeing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I have come here for a week stay every year with my daughter. We love staying at Villa. It is quiet, close to the beach and town, and very safe for two women. We love the updates and new hot tub! We will keep returning for our little annual get away.

Lovely home and very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect in many ways. Comfortable and in a beautiful setting. Very close to other really cool little beach towns in the area for day trips when the weather did not cooperate. Also, all kinds of museums and places to see and visit in the vicinity. Would definitely stay here again.

homey and comfortable with close beach access

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here approximately 2.5 years ago on one of our first trips as a couple. When we returned this time we got engaged! This place will forever be special to us. The furnishings are dated but very homey and comfortable. Close enough to town but it still feels like an escape. We much prefer staying here when no one is staying in the unit below, but still enjoy it nonetheless :)

Cozy, comfortable, and perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at the Chateau for a family vacation. The kiddos found the daybed and trundle quite comfortable, and the bed in the main room was very comfortable as well. The house is only a few blocks from a very quiet and clean area of the beach, and there were blackberries growing everywhere along the trails. We certainly ate our fill. :) I would certainly stay here again in the future as it is a great value for the price. Thank you to Joan and Eric of Blue Heron Rentals for sharing their cozy little home.

A few things to note:

- bring your own laundry soap and dryer sheets as they are not provided

- bring any condiments/seasoning you would like to use in the kitchen (it is otherwise well stocked with utensils and cookware)

- laundry room is only available from 8:00 - 11:00 am and 2:00 - 10:00 pm (we were usually out and about and found it a bit hard to get our towels dried on time)

- the yard/fire pit/hot tub are shared areas, so you may be meeting your downstairs neighbours. :)

The house was nice and clean with lots of extras and a convenient location

  • 5 of 5

The property was great and there was a lot of information about the area in the house. It was right outside of downtown with all of the tourism, yet a few blocks from the beach. It was nice to have a quiet place to go home too that was so close to the beach. The house had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning. It was also very nice to have a hot tub and fire pit at the house for late night relaxation.

I would recommend this house to everyone!

Close to beach, river, golf, and shopping. River is beautiful, affords great walks, and great fishing. Downtown provides unique shops from ice cream to clothing stores and is an easy walk. There is also an Factory outlet mall located close by.
