Once again, not a disappointment.
This was the 3rd time we’ve stayed at the Little Tennessee River Cabin. We love this place. It is off the beaten path, which means plenty of peace and quiet. Another “plus” for us is that unless you have Verizon for your cell phone provider, you’ll be incommunicado. The house does have a landline if you need it though. The wrap-around porch is a great place to take in the beautiful views of the river down the hill and the surrounding mountains. With the night time temperatures dropping into the mid to lower 60’s at night, we opened up the windows and enjoyed the cool breeze. The beds and living room furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware. Just bring your groceries and you’re set. Another thing we like about this place is that we can bring our two small dogs with us. I think they enjoy the cabin as much as we do. We will hopefully be able to return to the mountains in fall and if we can, we’ll definitely try to book the Little Tennessee River Cabin again.
Great place to stay!
We had a great time staying at this cabin. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed to have a good time. I will definitely book another trip.
Spacious cabin, great views and deck.
We had a great stay at the cabin. The wrap around deck was amazing and is probably more amazing in the fall and spring! It was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. It is about a 50min drive to Cherokee and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains Park. The driveway is steep and can be treacherous during winter weather. We ended up having good weather so it was not a factor. Fire place was nice too!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our cabin and your experience in staying here with us. We are so pleased that you had a good time and truly hope you will return soon. Sally
Second stay and won’t be our last
We first stayed here when visiting a family member who was ill back in May. Despite the nature of that visit, we enjoyed the stay at the Little Tennessee River property and booked a return visit for the fall. We arrived and found the property just as we remembered it, clean, comfortable and well stocked. The property has just about everything you might need, minus food and fire wood. An added bonus is the lack of cell phone signal. It’s nice to just turn the phone off once in a while. We spent a good part of our time just sitting out on the huge wrap-around deck enjoying the view of the river and surrounding mountains. We also took a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoyed all the colors of the fall leaves. Although our stay was cut short due to a family emergency back home, we are already planning on a return visit and if available, will book the Little Tennessee River property again.
Great place to get away from it all
We really enjoyed the Little Tennessee River Cabin. It had everything we needed for a week away from it all (minus food of course). The cabin was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was equipped allowing us to cook meals at the cabin rather than having to head into town.
Unfortunately, it rained a majority of our stay, but that wasn’t much of a problem. We just sat out on the huge wrap-around porch and watched the rain.
Sally, the property manager was helpful, but didn’t bother us during our stay. She quickly answered a couple questions we had during our stay. We are already looking to see if the Little Tennessee River Cabin is available this fall. We will be back.
Nice view, cozy cabin, Very Nice for a family getaway
We had a very nice stay, enjoying nice views and plenty of privacy. The only issue we had is with the hot water, it wasn't enough to fill the jacuzzi tub, (my favorite part) and when the hot water ran out the water turned orange and dirty. Other than that, a great place to stay.
We are glad you enjoyed your vacation. We apologize about the hot water a d appreciate knowing so we can follow up as needed to prevent any future problem.
