We had a great time. Nice place with the river right out the back porch. Close to many activities. We went rafting on the Nantahala and gem mining at Rose creek. Wonderful area.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for us (couple plus 13 year old boy). We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the little river behind the cabin (bring water shoes). We grilled steaks and had a nice birthday dinner on the back deck watching the water flow by. We hiked and swam in nearby waterfalls. Just a great place to enjoy.

Exactly what we needed and asked for. The house was clean and smelled nice. The host was super nice and sent great instructions. Neighbors are fairly close but did not cause an issue. One neighbor was so nice and wanted to meet our puppy so she came over and introduced herself. Our puppy enjoyed the water (even if it was very cold)! The kitchen had everything we needed. Beautiful views from that back deck. I could’ve sat out there forever! Thanks for sharing your home and allowing pets!

This rustic cottage on the Cullasaja River is a wonderful place to relax. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the water flow over the rocks. The location is ideal for kayaking, tubing, and fishing, and it is only 5–6 miles from Franklin, making shopping convenient while still providing a peaceful atmosphere. The scenic drive to Highlands, North Carolina, takes about 30 minutes and passes several waterfalls. Dry Falls is particularly easy to access and offers excellent photo opportunities. Other nearby activities include gem mining. We visited Jackson Hole Gem Mine and had a great experience. We even had a ring made from my wife’s collection of gems to celebrate our anniversary. On our final day, storms brought down a nearby power line. Although the outage did not affect us at the cottage, our host thoughtfully contacted us to make sure we were safe and kept us updated. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would gladly stay here again.

Great location on the Cullasaja River. I imagine it would be ideal in the summer for kayaking, tubing, and swimming. The water was a little too cold for that in April. We had a relaxing time between a little fishing, checking out the waterfalls, and visiting nearby towns.

We enjoyed every minute at this house. It is easy to get to but felt much more remote. Spent most of our time on the amazing screened porch listening to & watching the Callusaja river. A gaggle of geese floated by one morning. It was great to have the hose outside to rinse muddy shoes after a day of hiking nearby. Comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked. Nothing to complain about here!
