Courchevel #56 is an affordably priced 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo unit with a one car garage and is located next to the ski lifts at Canyon Lodge. Parking for a second vehicle is available outside with a permit. This unit was upgraded with fresh paint and new carpet, sleeper sofa and love seat in Sept 2016. The unit sleeps up to six people. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The living room has a brand new fold out sofa. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, color TV, DVD, stereo tuner, microwave, and phone. Linens and cleaning are included. There is no extra cleaning fee. The Courchevel complex has an outdoor pool and BBQ area in the summer and two indoor hot tubs with coed sauna open year round. The communal coin operated laundry room is in the spa building. Very nice, clean condo. Comfortable beds and adequately furnished. Entertainment equipment could stand to be upgraded but we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
I stayed at this place last year and decided to give my two cents worth as it came up in my search for a place this year.
Buyer beware, this place is very outdated and the furnishings are very worn out and filthy. My child walked around the place barefooted and within minutes feet were black as if walked outside on black top. I ended up staying only 10 hours before I contacted management and requested a refund. The good thing is that the management was understanding and refunded me in full.
Unless you don't care about basic (and I mean basic) cleanliness and don't mind sitting on furniture that is filthy, Id say move on and don't rent this condo. You may have to go find another place as I did for a weeks stay, and that's not what you want to spend your vacation doing.
My family and I found the location of this condo to be very convenient. Also, with one garage space, it was easy to park and get in and out for the day. Our biggest issue with the condo was that it was very warm; we could not figure out how to regulate the heat. Every know we could turn down, we did. However, we were still left opening the porch slider to make the living area tolerable. The condo did have all the kitchen utensils, dishes, etc. one might need. I suspect we will look for a slightly more comfortable place to stay next time.
We loved the place and would stay here again. The location was amazing - easy walking distance to Canyon Lodge. Having a garage to park the truck inside made a big difference when packing and unpacking in the snow. The unit has LOTS of space - kitchen, eating area, and living room downstairs would fit 8 people comfortably. Nice to have bedrooms upstairs. Lots of heaters in all of the rooms.
If this matters to you, the unit is outdated with '50s coffee maker, microwave, etc., but it all worked. NO INTERNET. There is an old TV with a DVD player - don't know if it works, but the TV makes a high pitched sound that rendered it unusable to us. Bring your own hair dryer (and a humidifier if you have/need one.)
Overall, we loved the place and it was a great value. We would definitely stay here again.
This place is fully furnished and my stay with friends were very pleasant. Only five minute walk to the lift. I will be keeping my eyes on this place for my future visit.
World class skiing and snowboarding on Mammoth Mountain in winter. Endless summer fun with fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and almost any other outdoor activity. The Town of Mammoth Lakes has plenty of shopping venues and a wide range of restaurant choices.
