Great secure central location

This was our first experience with vacation apartment rentals; and I could say that Jayne made it easy. She was there to answer any questions, from the time of booking to moving out. The place is located downtown with only 10 minutes walk to the Legislature building. There was nothing that we didn't expect while being located downtown. We had secure parking stall and building is completely secure with a key-less apartment access; the view from the roof top and panoramic living room windows were stunning. Apartment was very clean and fully stocked with lots of thoughtful things (including bottle of wine from the local winery, carton of milk for coffee, little snacks, chocolates, and many other things) - we really appreciated the thoughtfulness.

For all the future travelers, especially during summer months, I want to mention that apartment equipped with portable ACs and fans: that will make your stay much more pleasant, as I learned from different sources that ACs are not common in Victoria, because the weather never gets too warm. I did my research and only a few of 2-bedroom places have this option for rental in Victoria, at least for the dates we were looking for. Also apartment has good (not sheer) blinds that would protect you from the sun-heat (especially in the east facing bedroom).

Cooking was also easy - there is a big grocery store ("Market") just 2 blocks away and there is a small independent one on the same block - but it closes early. Apartment had all the dishes, pots-pan, and utensils that we needed.

Another, thing that I am always looking for in rentals is sufficient internet connection, I can say this rental exceeded my expectation: the signal was strong and could sufficiently accommodate all 6 of our devices. TV had enough channels to watch if you wish to relax after long day of being out.

Bathroom was clean and equipped with over-head shower, which was a very nice feature. It is shared with the master bedroom. Rental provided with clean towels and an option to refresh them in washer and dryer if needed.

We needed to leave early in the morning, and Jayne wasn't able to meet us. We left keys in the apartment as was suggested. Checkout was easy and our damage deposit was processed in sufficient amount of time.

As I mentioned before there was nothing that we didn't expect from being located central. I would recommend this rental for the families of up to 4 or couples that are traveling together. Thank you, Jayne.

We absolutely enjoyed staying here!

We had a fantastic experience staying here. Even from when we got in, to when we left. When we first got settled we realized there was items in the fridge; some milk, bananas, etc. We would stay here again for sure!!!!

Downtown at its best

Great spot to stay. Easy walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shopping. Easy walk to the parliament buildings and the harbour. Loved the shower and the snacks!

Place is nice, but be cautious

This condo was well stocked, has a great view, good location close to downtown and very clean. For all of that I would probably rate it a 4/5. Where my problem lies is the overall comfort of our stay. We had a 14 month old with us and there was glass and mirrors throughout the condo, beautiful to look at but as a mother had me constantly on edge throughout my stay. Then unfortunately a coffee mug did get knocked over and broke, we were then charged $6. We were also charged $20 for a towel rack that was lose, which I was advised by the other ppl staying with us that they noticed it at the beginning of our stay, after telling this to the owner she still charged us, with no proof it was our fault and should be just a matter of tightening a screw. I've stayed at many private rentals and generally these small instances are chalked up to incidentals, usually included when we're paying to stay here. I would completely understand and encourage charging for damage to the condo, or anything that wasn't easily repairable. I'm just happy my child was overall well behaved during our stay, I can only imagine what it would have cost us had she not been. I also spent upwards of 2 hours cleaning prior to leaving and removing many finger prints from some of the surrounding glass and windows. But again, it's a beautiful place but not appropriate for children of a toddler age.

Even Better Than Advertised!

The unit was spotless, view from the room is great, you can walk to everything downtown, and host Jayne went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Best VRBO host ever!! I only wish we could have stayed longer than two nights!
