About the property

Gorgeous Mountain Views ,Privacy, Convenient to Everything New House--Immaculate

We are open! This brand new house is our second property. (See property # 495254 to read reviews since this property is so new. The reviews are largely applicable to this listing too, as the properties are almost identical).

Here are the details!

This home has an open floor plan, lots of light and hardwood floors. The house is clean, modern, and comfortable.

The master has its own bathroom, a King bed and large windows that look out into the woods and gardens.

The upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a queen and a daybed that opens to make two twins. The other bedroom has a queen and a double futon. The upstairs has a full bath with a tub/shower that is shared between the two bedrooms.

The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area and has a sectional couch and comfortable chairs.

The kitchen is brand new, modern and has all the basics you should need to cook and enjoy meals while staying here.

The dining area has a long table and seats 8 comfortably but is capable of seating 10. We provide folding chairs to add to the seating capacity.

The covered porch is quite literally another room! It runs the length of the house and is 10 feet deep. There are rockers and a table that seats 6 comfortably and 8 if you squeeze. We also have a bistro set with three chairs on the porch.

We have a loop trail that is about 1/3 mile long, plus some gravel roads for walking. If you are interested, give us a call when you are here and we will try to schedule a time for you to come see our chickens and goats.

About Steve and Louise

We bought this farm in 2010 and finished building our first vacation rental September 2013. We have enjoyed welcoming guests so much that we decided to build a second rental for 2015! Having a farm with a vacation rental has long been a dream of ours. We have a small herd of French Alpine dairy goats and plenty of chickens at our home on the other side of the property.

Why Steve and Louise chose Asheville

I have lived in Asheville since 1992 (except a 5 year stint in Seattle for school). I never get tired of this place. This small city has so much to offer. It is always changing and morphing which suits our family perfectly! As far as this property goes, we found it after a 5 year hunt for the right piece of land. It is a large parcel of land incredibly close to everything...not something that is easily found around here (hence the 5 year search). I love living in this area, and I think you will love staying here too!

What makes this house unique

This property is unique because you have access to beautiful spaces indoors and out. You also have access to woods and meadows, trees and views. It just depends where you decide to spend your time while you are here.

This house is also unique because it is situated on a farm, yet it so close to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village. There are very few properties that can boast this fact. Most larger tracts are much further away or on steep land. This land is rolling and great for exploring.

Also, our land virtually backs up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway land, just look at the map. The entrance to the Parkway is only about 2 miles away and is the entrance where the Folk Art Center is. This is a great place to visit while you are here.

There are hiking trails both on the Parkway and at Warren Wilson College, which is only a few short miles away. We also have some short trails here on the property.

Beautiful house, stunning views

  • 5 of 5

This new home was a perfect home away from home for our recent work trip. It was close to downtown, yet it felt removed. We were able to get to meetings efficiently, while also unwinding on the porch with spectacular views. The trail by the house was also beautiful and undersold in the review.

All in all, it was a fantastic house and I hope to stay there again in the future.

House was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautiful, in a great location, and extremely well kept. The owners are so nice and they thought of absolutely everything. They were there if we had any questions, left us farm fresh eggs, and had anything we could have possibly needed. Great for a group and super close to downtown Asheville. The area was Uber friendly, and they also had a contact for a van service that was extremely accommodating.

Perfect cabin with all we needed!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is pretty new, super clean and neat. It had everything we needed including sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, small kitchen appliances, wood for fire, etc. The owners are super attentive and think about all the details carefully so you can have a pleasure experience. They even left fresh eggs from their chickens for us! The location is perfect, in the middle of the forest and mountains but just 10 minutes from the city! Just perfect!

We loved our home in Asheville!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay in Asheville. The house was perfect and had everything we needed - pots and pans, a cozy fire, a view, games, a easy 12 minute drive into downtown. The five of us fit very comfortably, but could have slept more as well. Steve and Louise were great and easy to get in touch with if we needed them. We are already excited about going back in the summer! 100% would recommend.

Clean and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

The house was lovely and extremely clean. Everything we would need was provided and Ingles Markets is close by for groceries and forgotten toiletries. The house is not far from downtown but provides enough distance for enjoying a mountain cabin with views and quiet.

Amazing cabin in a fantastic town.

  • 5 of 5

Louise and Steve go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The cabin is charming, warm, and pleasant throughout. The location and view are breathtaking. Everything about the place exceeded my expectations. Asheville itself is charming, and I can not imagine a better place to experience the town. It is obvious that Steve and Louise have thought hard about what their guests would need or want while staying at the place, from a fully stocked kitchen to wood on the fireplace ready to go. Thank you both for all the hard work you put into making the rental a fantastic place to stay!

Car: recommended

This property is located within 10 minutes of the HEART of downtown Asheville, yet is on the edge of a 40 acre property and a few short minutes from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setting is rural, but not remote. The house itself is in a clear wooded area that has views and gets plenty of light. It feels quite private.
