This is our newest property, which we built as a mirror image of our first house (VRBO #495254). If you don't see the dates you want for this house, type 495254 into the search bar and it will bring you to the other house's listing. You can't go wrong with either one; definitely check out our reviews, which give a good feel for the houses and setting.
Here are the details!
This home has an open floor plan, lots of light and hardwood floors. The house is clean, modern, and comfortable.
The master has its own bathroom with two sinks and a large walk in shower. This room has a king bed.
The upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a queen and a daybed that opens to make two twins. The other bedroom has a queen and a double futon. The upstairs has a full bath with a tub/shower.
The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area and has a sectional couch and comfortable chairs.
The kitchen is brand new, modern and has all the basics you should need to cook and enjoy meals while staying here.
The dining area has a long table and seats 8 comfortably but is capable of seating 10. We provide folding chairs to add to the seating capacity.
The covered porch is quite literally another room! It runs the length of the house and is 10 feet deep. There are rockers and a table that seats 6 comfortably and 8 if you squeeze. We also have a bistro set with three chairs on the porch.
There is a loop trail that is about 1/3 mile long, plus some gravel roads for walking.

About Steve and Louise
We bought this farm in 2010 and finished building our first vacation rental September 2013. We have enjoyed welcoming guests so much that we decided to build a second rental in 2015! Having a farm with a vacation rental has long been a dream of ours. We have a small herd of French Alpine dairy goats and plenty of chickens at our home on the other side of the property.
Why Steve and Louise chose Asheville
I have lived in Asheville since 1992 (except a 5 year stint in Seattle for school). I never get tired of this place. This small city has so much to offer. It is always changing and morphing which suits our family perfectly! As far as this property goes, we found it after a 5 year hunt for the right piece of land. It is a large parcel of land incredibly close to everything...not something that is easily found around here (hence the 5 year search). I love living in this area, and I think you will love staying here too!
What makes this House unique
This property is unique because you have access to beautiful spaces indoors and out. You also have access to woods and meadows, trees and views. It just depends where you decide to spend your time while you are here. This house is also unique because it is situated on a farm, yet it so close to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village. There are very few properties that can boast this fact. Most larger tracts are much further away or on steep land. This land is rolling and great for exploring. Also, our land virtually backs up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway land. The car entrance to the Parkway is only about 2 miles away and is the entrance where the Folk Art Center is. This is a great place to visit while you are here. There are hiking trails both on the Parkway and at Warren Wilson College, which is only a few short miles away. We also have some short trails here on the property.

Beautiful property with a beautiful view
This property provides the perfect "illusion of seclusion". You really have the feeling of being tucked away in a remote mountainside getaway, but are actually only a few minutes from town. A very convenient location with amazing mountain views; the best of both worlds. Property owner was very amicable and communicated well. I highly recommend.
Everything you need.
Ladies card club yearly trip. This property was perfect for our trip.
This beautiful home has everything. Great location, close to the Biltmore, great restaurants and great kitchen table for cards! Great communication with the owners too. I would choose this home again.
Beautiful house with amazing view of the mountains.
I stayed here while on vacation with my 2 1/2 year old, husband, brother and sister in law. More than enough room for all of us and all the amenities we needed to enjoy the week. Loved sitting on the back porch every morning drinking coffee and relaxing by the fire pit in the evening. If I was traveling back to NC I would definitely stay here again!
Relaxing home with beautiful Mountain View’s. Great location for enjoying Asheville.
Loved the peace and quiet of this home after a long day of seeing the sites of Asheville. Great location, close to downtown even though it feels so removed. All the amenities you need to make your family comfortable. The owners, Steve and Louise were nice to work with from setting up the reservation to answering any questions you may have regarding the property once you arrive. One of the easiest checkouts Of any VRBO we have stayed at.
Beautiful and close to everything
Great location. Clean. Beautiful. Owner very responsive.
Beautiful house, stunning views
This new home was a perfect home away from home for our recent work trip. It was close to downtown, yet it felt removed. We were able to get to meetings efficiently, while also unwinding on the porch with spectacular views. The trail by the house was also beautiful and undersold in the review.
All in all, it was a fantastic house and I hope to stay there again in the future.
This property is located within 10 minutes of the HEART of downtown Asheville, yet is on the edge of a 40 acre property and a few short minutes from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setting is rural, but not remote. The house itself is in a clear wooded area that has views and gets plenty of light. It feels quite private.
