Luz de Luna is an amazing 50' luxury motor Yacht with a beautiful design that delivers exclusivity and elegance, where generous living spaces flow freely from one area to the next to create an exquisite ambience in which to relax, explore and entertain.

Enjoy and relax on the big and open salon with panoramic windows and floor to ceiling sliding doors that opens to the deck, creating flow on a wonderful and peaceful space. Down the stairs you will find two beautiful bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the master with a beautiful v queen size bed both made of TempurPedic memory foam. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom and closet. Another amazing area in this Yacht is the bow (front) where you can sunbathe or have a glass of wine. Sit a the beautiful deck and listen to the professional DYNaudio sound system and watch the sunset. Feeling adventurous, use the kayak and paddle board.

Take Luz de Luna out to beautiful San Diego Bay with your private captain for a sunset or bay cruise or perhaps whale watching tour (For cruise bookings, extra fees apply, how ever our airbnb guests receive an special discounted rate. Always upon captain availability and weather conditions). You will explore and visit in the yacht Point Loma, the Sea Lions Sanctuary, The Navy Base, The Midway, Coronado Island and the Bridge, SD Sky Line and more, you are going to love it, SD Bay is so pretty.

Parking is included as well as 24 hour security on the parking and marina premises.

Beautiful yacht...Great location!

Yacht was everything shown in the photos and more. All the conveniences of any hotel with the added bonus of waking up on the water. Lots of room and bedrooms were very private and comfortable. Quiet marina, very well protected from any waves, etc.. Amenities were great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. 10 minutes to Gaslamp, Seaport, USS Midway...within 30 minutes of Mission Beach, La Jolla and Carlsbad. Many thanks to Ricardo for his quick response to the few questions we had.

minor fixes needed

The boat was beautiful, but we didn't really get to enjoy it. You can't swim in the marina, and if you wanted to suntan the only place available was the front bow which was right on the walkway where everybody fully dressed walks by and says hello...somewhat uncomfortable feeling. Due to our choice of a weekend the boat cruise was unavailable, so kind of pointless to stay on a boat when we had to drive 15 min to use the water. There was a tiny bottle of shampoo and soap for the shower, but no conditioner. The master bathroom had next to nothing for water pressure so we all had to share one bathroom. Also the wifi was out of service and the guest bedroom lights were all completely out (seems like an easy fix). If you lan to sleep in the master bedroom, don't plan to sleep past 5:30 am. The bed is super comfortable, but the front hatch/window is right above the pillows so the sunlight shines directly into your eyes. Overall the boat is pretty, but i would have rather paid for a hotel on the beach with fresh towels and easy access to the beach.

Great Experience.

I stayed on board with my six year old son. We had an excellent time. Ricardo sent very clear directions that made the check in and check out process super easy. We spent a lot of time at the Marina pool. The other boat owners were extremely friendly. I would recommend these accommodations to friends and family visiting San Diego.

Ricardo is the absolute best! What a fantastic guy. So organized, everything planned so well. The documentation you receive prior to your arrival makes it a "no brainer" to enjoy your stay immensely. Everything is so well thought out, we were amazed at how this yacht outfitted. Beds are super comfortable, we were there on a very warm weekend, there was A/C in the main cabin as well as the staterooms. We paid a little bit extra for the (3) hour personal yacht tour. This is a must, so much fun to actually get out on the yacht and see all of the beauty of San Diego. Our rating is a five star however it is truly a ten.

Beautiful experience on the water, perfect location, amenities galore!

I was a bit hesitant to rent a yacht in a marina. I was quickly relieved of all doubt even before our arrival. Ricardo was in communication with us from the moment I made the reservation throughout our stay and afterward. The experience is one we will never forget. The yacht is gorgeous, spacious and much better than staying in a stuffy hotel. The pictures definitely do not do justice, it is even more beautiful in person. The master bedrooms memory foam topped mattress was so comfortable. We slept better than anywhere else. There are no waves or rocking motions, which really surprised me. The master bathroom has everything you need, including a shower, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. We did not use the second bedrooms bed but it could easily be used for a couple of children, as there is a bulkhead above the head of the bed, but appeared just as comfortable. It also has an attached full bathroom with shower. The living room was well equipped with a large TV with a few channels and a great stereo system (which you can hook up via usb to any music device) and speakers throughout the lower level. The kitchen was awesome and had everything we needed (except for a cooktop, but we just used the microwave) and two refrigerators. It was great to make coffee and sit on the back deck or any of the comfy couches on the top deck. We even slept outside on the upper decks large sunning bed one of the nights, incredible to hear the water and watch the stars, it was like a luxurious camping experience on the water that night. We also enjoyed taking the kayak and paddle board around the marina, which is quiet and classy. The amenities are great, with a store and deli, pool, jacuzzi, workout center with harbor views and TVs, and free showers. Ricardo provided us with 2 keyfobs to access every area of the marina and a gate key card for parking in the private marina parking lot (which is a great bonus on Harbor Island, as parkibg is either expensive or nonexistent). The only surprise we had (which is not stated in the listing), was a two hour minimum cruise you need to book some time during your stay (during the summer months). The hourly rate is rather high, but was worth it, as we did our cruise in the afternoon of our anniversary. So we didn’t mind splurging on that. As long as you thoroughly read the detailed instructions provided by Ricardo, you should have no problems. This was a very memorable experience and Ricardo was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful stay at the marina

Everything was clean and comfortable. Very thorough instructions were provided which was helpful since we had never stayed on a boat before. The owner was very responsive to questions. It was so peaceful watching the sunset from the upper deck! We also used the pool and jacuzzi and there are two excellent restaurants with great views and food within walking distance.

Beautiful yacht!

We were very hesitant about spending so much on one night in the Marina. But, it was worth every penny given our circumstances. We had just spent the week cleaning our our brother's apartment after his passing the week prior. We were all exhausted mentally and physically. My brother had a boat and loved the water and San Diego. He lived in California for over 20 years and took his sisters on many trips through the countryside, Point Loma, etc. when we visited. It was the perfect way to end our trip and enjoy the coast that he loved in his memory. Ricardo was very kind and compassionate about our need for one last relaxing night in San Diego. He responded very quickly each time I had a question and his directions for the boat were very thorough in writing.The boat was very clean and we couldn't believe it was older than 2 or 3 years! It looked brand new to us. The beds were very, very comfortable--lots of blankets. Everything was very clean. The shower had enough pressure and plenty of hot water. We paid extra for a 3 hour cruise. It would have been good to know that it was whale season and maybe we could have planned to go out a little farther to possibly see some whales. We also thought we would be going along the coast of Coronado, but Ricardo was willing to customize the cruise to our liking. Ricardo and Captain Jack were very friendly and told us a lot of interesting facts about the harbor and the scenery. We didn't see much of a sunset because of the clouds--that was a little disappointing. Suggestions: It would have been nice to have a personal overview of the boat: where were the life jackets (they were not easily accessible or in view during our cruise). How to work the television, stereo, lights, air conditioning or heat, etc. It would have been nice to have a little table on the sun deck. If we stayed more than one night, we would have liked to have had access to the stove to cook our own meals, etc. But, staying only one night--the kitchen was adequate. It would have been nice to have some ice on board or a place to put ice. I sat on the front of the boat in the black loungers and one of them was broken, so the back would not stay up. But, I enjoyed that part of the boat a great deal. Thinking back though, I should have had a life jacket available up there. Our family would highly recommend this experience--the cruise and the overnight accommodations! Ricardo was a lovely host and a real gentleman.

Fun Alternative to Hotel

We enjoyed staying on the Luz de Luna. It was extremely clean and the beds were super comfortable. There was coffee and water for us as well. The owner was very responsive. The marina was very quiet and we enjoyed waking up on the water. Only downside is limited hot water, but there is a nice shower/bathroom on the marina. Great place to stay

We always stay at a house and thought it would be cool staying on a yacht. Found everything to get through to the yacht. I would stay again in future if on vacation. As to the No smoking rules, the neighbor told us your not smoking are you due to she smelt something. Was not us, there were other people on boats. Other than a nosy neighbor, everything was Great! What a fun experience!

The boat was beautiful! Very clean and well maintained. Ricardo was amazingly responsive. The only issues I had were small things. Had I know about them ahead of time it probably wouldn't have even bothered me. 1st there was no way to boil water for tea (microwave doesn't work because they don't want you to cook). When I mentioned it to Ricardo he said he would put a water boiler in there (so responsive!) The last thing was the water pressure in the shower. It is do low. Much more like a camper shower, which I guess I should expect. Overall, it was great and I would definitely stay again!

Wow, what an amazing experience!!!

Really exceeded my expectations. I was extremely grateful for Ricardo's help with booking, details of accessing the boat and how much energy and efforts he put into maintaining his boat for guest like myself. I encourage all who are looking for a fabulous experience to book with Ricardo. You will not go wrong or regret this decision. By the way, the pictures doesn't do the boat justice at all. In person its even better. This was a surprise for my significant other and she enjoyed every moment of it. Sooooooo, I didnt have the option to select everything that I liked about Ricardo's boat so here it goes: Amazing amenities - Wifi, coffee maker, drinks, refrigerator, silverware, bathroom, towels, blankets, plush pillows, blue tooth speaker, and everything a house could provide. Stylish space & Thoughtful touches - This boat has a very unique decor that adds a personal (at home) feel to it. The moment you walk inside it is very comforting, welcoming and I thought it was super cute :). Sparkling clean - Now, this is the best part.....I've stayed on boats before but I can say Ricardo takes pride in the cleanliness of his own. This boat was immaculate, no signs of dust or dirt anywhere. I really appreciate how clean this boat was which helped with our comfort level much more. Outstanding hospitality & Quick responses - This guy must sits in front of his computer. If you have any questions or concerns he is there and have responded in a timely manner each and every time I have reached out to him. He is very kind and helpful in every situation. Local tips - Ricardo took his time to explain in full detail of how to access the boat, the facility amenities as well as local tips during our stay. If it wasn't for him, I will still be looking for his boat instead of writing this review. Thank you Ricardo for that!!!

Amazing Experience!!!!!!!!

This is the second time I stay in Luz de Luna. First time was with my wife and it was AMAZING. This time I stayed with two of my colleagues, we were in town for business and is was AMAZING too. The yacht is so beautiful and spacious. The marina is peaceful, quiet and relaxing, perfect for some great r&r after a long dat of meetings, watching the sunset in the flybridge of the boat or in the deck with a glass of wine. The marina is located within 5 minutes to downtown and within 15 minutes of la Jolla. We decided to do the Bay cruise and invited a small group of co workers and colleagues, and everybody loved it, what a way to show them what California is about, especially to our friends from Europe, they were fascinated, we saw dolphins, sea lions, and went right under-next to the midway and Coronado bridge, wow, was awesome. Thank you again Ricardo, can't wait to be back and all my co workers told me they can't wait to bring their families to Luz de Luna.

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT !!!!!!!!!

Not only was the boat absolutely perfect but Ricardo was an amazing host! He was so thoughtful and the boat came equip with everything (and more) that a hotel would have- shampoos, conditioner, lotion, towels, etc. Staying on the water was so cool/different than a hotel. We booked a private charter and Ricardo took us alongside the San Diego shoreline and showed us everything the city had to offer. You have to do this. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS. It was so beautiful and he let us sit on the open bow of the boat as we cruised through the ocean. We took the kayak and paddle board for a spin in the bay and it was so amazing. The restaurants walking distance to the marina are great and the view is stunning, se romantic. Downtown is only a few minutes away from the marina and most SD attractions are too. Amazing experience!! Ricardo was also very knowledgable about the area as a whole which came in handy because we had no idea what the nightlife had to offer. He pointed us in the right direction and we ended up having an amazing night :) I would recommend this experience- it was seriously one of a kind. If I go back to San Diego, which I most likely will, I am not staying anywhere else! Thank you Ricardo!!!!!!!!!

Romantic and Entertaining

Why look at the water when you can stay on the water? That's what we did, and we're so glad. There was plenty of room on the Luz de Luna (Moonlight) for the three of us, plus you have the marina, the pool, the hot tub, and San Diego Bay. Ricardo offered us a cruise option and we took it. Our two hour tour was just the right amount of time to keep our 8 year old intrigued and excited. Ricardo even let him captain the boat. We enjoyed our tour with him and had great conversation. The beds are large and comfortable, the galley is roomy, the flybridge is romantic, and a hotel doesn't compare. Ricardo is a wonderful host, friendly but non-intrusive. Restaurants in Little Italy are close, the boardwalk is 4 miles away, and though Sea World is nearby, so is Cici Sayer's Offshore Blue Adventures--see dolphins and whales up close by Zodiac raft. As we were leaving, I told my husband, "Our trips keep getting better and better." From the mouth of a third grader: "From now on, I want to live on boats!"

Relaxing stay on the water

We enjoyed the unique experience of staying on the marina in the Luz de Luna. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. My daughter and I especially enjoyed the lounge area on the top "deck" of the boat. The other people staying in the marina were very friendly, yet we rarely saw other people. We went to the pool, hot tub and BBQs and sometimes didn't see anyone else around. The bathrooms and showers at the marina were clean.
