Everything was very well stocked, from shampoo and laundry detergent to games and wood for the fire.Grill and hot tub were centrally located right outside the door (looked farther from the photos) and the scenery was idyllic! Would not hesitate to stay again.

We are so happy that you had a great time! We hope you come back!
We very much enjoyed our stay. It's a very peaceful place with stunning views in every direction. The house full of light and was comfortable for 4 people. (My adult children slept in the bunk bed like they did when they were young.)The wood stove is challenging. We would like to return when the weather is warmer to enjoy the beautiful property, private beach and the hot tub.
Our stay was a pleasant experience, for our family of 5. The house was in great shape, clean, and thoughtfully maintained, which made settling in easy. It was also well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, relaxing, and enjoying the ocean views. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable place to spend time together.
What a lovely home and location. This was a perfect place to enjoy beautiful sunsets and slow mornings. We are so thankful to have been able to share the space

We love to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Come back soon!
This house is absolutely magical. The home itself is so so lovely, but the property is the star of the show. One of the most stunning views I’ve ever had on the island, and has someone who goes up a couple of times a year and has stayed everywhere from sailboats anchored offshore to family waterfront estates and everything in between, it’s a high bar!I loved reading under the madrone trees by the water, watching the sunset from the hot tub, and walking in to Roche for a meal. I loved it so much, I’ve already requested to book for another week in the fall.

So happy to hear from someone who has been here before and can share such great feedback! We love this little gem! We have a moorage buoy too if you come back and bring a boat! Hope you host you again soon!
We had such a great time! The house includes a great yard and wonderful shoreline. The teens enjoyed tide-pooling, searching for crabs, oysters, and clams. Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations!

Beautiful photos! So happy that you enjoyed your stay!
Lovely stay at this house! Really enjoyed the house, the large yard, beautiful views of the bay, and the quiet peacefulness of the surroundings of roche harbor. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked for cooking some meals at home. We saw seals, eagles roosting in nearby trees, and it was close to downtown Friday harbor. Great place!

Beautiful photos! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay!
Beautiful property and home! We loved every minute of our stay. Communication with the housekeeper was excellent. A couple very minor details could improve the home, but the beautiful view and location were absolutely phenomenal!
Loved staying at this rental, perfect spot if you are a PNW fan. Great space for dogs and woodsy, water ambiance. If you plan to prepare meals here bring your good French kitchen knife and olive oil. Otherwise the kitchen has everything you need. You will also need to give the house time to warm up unless you are here in warmer months. Wood stove is tricky and you may need to pick up bundled wood at the nearby Haro Hotel. I will definitely come back to stay.

We hope to earn your 10 stars during your next stay! Thank you for the wonderful feedback and we hope you come back soon!
Yes, as I'm in my 70 it would have been nice to have a few grab bars to help getting in and out of the hot tub and the bathtub. Other than that we had a wonderful time. Watching the water and the stars at night

About the host
Hosted by Jenny
After many years of caring for homes and communities within the greater Seattle communities, we wanted to create a space where travelers could feel the same sense of comfort and welcome we’ve built into our neighborhoods. Hosting on VRBO is our way of sharing that love of hospitality on a more personal scale.
Whether you’re here for a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a quiet retreat, we’ve designed this home to be a place where you can truly relax and make lasting memories. Our goal is simple: to give you the comforts of home with the ease of being on vacation.
Why they chose this property
Our family has a long history in the San Juan Islands, and this area has always held a special place in our hearts. The combination of peaceful island life, stunning waterfront views, and the sense of community here makes it unlike anywhere else. It’s a place where we’ve gathered with loved ones, explored hidden coves, and enjoyed long summer evenings watching the sun set over the water.
We chose this neighborhood because it represents everything we value—natural beauty, family connection, and the chance to slow down and truly enjoy life. We’re grateful to share a piece of that experience with our guests.
What makes this property unique
Westcott Bay Cabin in Roche Harbor is more than just a vacation home—it’s a front-row seat to the beauty of the San Juan Islands. Perched above the water, the property offers breathtaking views of Haro Strait and the Canadian Gulf Islands, with some of the most stunning sunsets you’ll ever see.
What makes this home special is the blend of privacy and community. Tucked in a peaceful neighborhood, you’ll enjoy quiet mornings watching boats pass by, while still being just minutes from the charming Roche Harbor Resort with its restaurants, marina, and local shops. The property itself is surrounded by evergreens and rocky shoreline, offering a true Northwest feel with the comfort of a well-appointed home.
Guests often say that staying here feels like experiencing the best of island life—serenity, scenery, and a touch of adventure—all in one place.
