Inside Yosemite National Park near Wawona Village, California, USA. Sleeps 6.
Our family built this home in the 80s and it has been the gathering spot for many fun and relaxing trips with family and friends. We love this location where we enjoy the beauty of Yosemite without the crowds and tour buses. We continue to use the home so you'll find the house is stocked with kitchenware, basic bath needs, books, games, DVD movies, and old time personal affects.

The house features large front and back porches with views of trees and a meadow. The front and back doors have camera door bells. The front door enters to a large living room with wood burning stove followed by a full kitchen and dining room, all with great windows. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on either side of the living room. With driveway space for three vehicles and bedrooms separated by large living space, this house is great for a couples trip, multiple family or friend groups, and families who desire private beds and baths. Great location to explore Yosemite, cozy place, and the host was extremely responsive and informative. My family had a great time staying here for a few days.
We had great conversations with the host before and during our stay.We always enjoy all the interesting items and old technology. My 6 year old great grandson enjoyed the outdoors and our walk to the bridge.
What a fun and interesting place to stay. Our kids absolutely loved staying in this cabin and so did we. We enjoyed the well-stocked amenities that made our stay easy and seamless, and the huge back porch was great in the mornings and evenings for relaxing outdoors - we even saw a large mule deer one morning in the backyard. We would love to stay here again for our next trip to Yosemite.
Comfortable home in a great location for seeing Yosemite National Park. We especially enjoyed the huge deck on the back of the house as a peaceful and beautiful place to sit.
Cozy cabin located in a quiet forested location. Great place to relax. Close to Yosemite village and other recreation areas outside the park. Bass lake less than an hour away.
This property exceeded our expectations on all levels. Communication was phenomenal with the host, cozy cabin set up perfectly for the whole family. I am definitely going to stay here again and tell all my friends.

About the host
Hosted by Local Manager: Ms. Diane Martin
The owners built this cabin round 1980s. Most of the cabins in the area can be rented. Best time to go to Yosemite is early spring when there is water running over the water falls. Another good time is in the Fall before any snow builds up on the roads.
Why they chose this property
The golf coarse is closed 2022. Wawona hotel is partially open 2021 for work. No car gas in the ynp valley. chevron station in Wawona only. The big trees may be open in the summer. glacier point road to be worked on in 2022.
What makes this property unique
Our family loves sharing the oohs and ahhs of Yosemite National Park with first-time visitors. The world-wide popularity of the breathtaking park can make lodging close to the sites hard to secure. Yosemite does not have as many camp sites as it did in the past and hotel rooms are limited and expensive. There are some options along the rivers and in the Yosemite Valley area. Renting a cabin in Wawona is a unique opportunity to enjoy the park with time to yourself and your family away from the crowds of Yosemite Valley. Renting in Wawona is also a great idea for staging before or after overnight camping or backcountry camping within the park. Over night hiking can be done with a hiking permit from the Wawona ranger station or the Hotel Museum.
