Stay in luxury in this beautiful, spacious, very clean, quiet and safe place, centrally located in San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley, ideally suited for families, leisure and business travelers wanting a quiet place to stay but not too far from the action. This luxurious house is close to many shops, restaurants and amenities. It provides easy access to major freeways to nearby cities, businesses and attractions.

About the house:
This impressive single-family home located in Union City, CA, has 4 Bedrooms, 3 Full Baths, a huge master suite, and a beautiful backyard. Great layout with a grand entry and curved stairs going to the second story. Large Living room with high cathedral ceilings. Downstairs bedroom with full bath. Remodeled kitchen with beautiful granite counters and recently refinished hardwood floors. Two car attached garage. Large corner lot... ideal for a very pleasing stay for your family and/or your group. The home has an Air Conditioner for summer and Central Heating system for winter.

The house is beautifully furnished with a California King bed in the master bedroom and hot tub. Two Queen Beds in rooms two and three (downstairs). Two twin beds in the fourth bedroom. We also have a Queen size sofa bed, a folding twin size bed, and a twin size folding mattress. 55" TV in the family room with 300+ channels. 600 Mbps High-speed wireless internet throughout the house. Piano in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen. Big formal dining table with six chairs in the living room and round dining table in the kitchen/family room. Washer/Dryer is available on way to the garage.

The house is stocked with things you will need, including multiple towels, extra linens, soaps, shampoos, toilet papers, iron/board, etc. We have also provided a welcome package of things necessary to get you started, like coffee and teas and water in the refrigerator. Please help yourself.

The house has an entertainment delight backyard with a sparkling swimming pool, hot tub, umbrella with patio chair set, and gazebo with gas-powered fire pit! Perfect for spending some quality time with family and friends in the private swimming pool, or relaxing around the fire pit inside the gazebo, or just sitting under the umbrella by the poolside, or maybe doing some BBQ as well with our large grill...

About the area:
Union City is a beautiful, safe and quiet city in the Bay Area, centrally located between San Jose and San Francisco, and minutes from Menlo Park/Palo Alto area across the Dumbarton bridge. We have the best weather in the San Francisco Bay Area, not too hot and not too cold. It provides easy access to freeways to key cities in the area: Just 10 miles to Menlo Park (Meta/Facebook HQ) via Dumbarton bridge, 17 miles to Palo Alto and 17 miles to Mountain View (Google HQ), 22 miles to San Jose via I-880 South, 30 miles to San Francisco via I-880 North (Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street, and Golden Gate, etc.), 20 miles to Oakland via I-880 North, and 20 miles to San Mateo via HWY 92.

Our house is within walking distance to a local strip mall where you will find Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and several fast-food restaurants and a sushi bar. There you will also find two fairly large Asian groceries where you can buy fresh fish and have it fried for you. About a mile away is Union Landing 100-acre shopping complex, with various restaurants (from coffee shops to fast foods to sushi bars), movies, groceries, and Wal-Mart. There you will find In-N-Out, Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Roadhouse, Tony Romas, Tomatina, Chilli's, TGI Friday, Fuddruckers, Chipotle, IHOP, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, etc.. Also in the area is farmer's market and a great community center. You will also find Costco and Trader Joe's within 2-6 miles from our house. The house is one block from a park with access to free tennis and basketball courts. The area has the best schools in Union City, including the award-winning Delaine Eastin Elementary School about 2 miles to the south.

And if you are outdoors person and into biking, hiking, bird watching, or just enjoying nature, Coyote Hills Regional Park is a great place to visit, just 3 miles away from our house, with nearly 1000 acres of preserve land for you to discover. Lake Elizabeth is just 10 miles away if you enjoy walking around this beautiful lake. Also Lake Chabot Golf Course is 20 miles to the north, Bay Area's best golf value in an expansive layout. To the south, you have Great America Amusement park and Levi's Stadium, all within 20 miles. Take 92 West and it will take you straight to Half Moon Bay beaches and restaurants.

Public Transportation:
We are centrally located in the Bay Area. You can use the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) train service to go to various places in the Bay Area, including to Oakland, San Francisco, Daly City, Millbrae, Richmond, Concord, Bay Point, etc. The nearest BART station to our house is about 4 miles away. The bus stop is just one block away from our house that will take you there. Please check their site for more details.

The Dumbarton Express - This is a bus service that takes you from the Union City BART station all the away to Stanford University across the bay in Palo Alto. Please check their site for more details and stops.

Great Place to Stay

We have had a wonderful time staying here. We found the house clean and in order and had everything we needed. The backyard was a gem as well, with swimming pool and hot tub and fire pit, which we used all - quite relaxing and peaceful. We found the area convenient for our needs with various shops and restaurants close by. The house is located midway between south bay and San Francisco, so easy to go anywhere. The owner, Rahel, was very friendly, easy to communicate and responsive. Overall, highly recommended place to stay. We will come back soon.

Extended family visit

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kids used the pool and we all enjoyed the hot tub and common spaces. We especially loved that one bedroom was on the first floor so folks who have trouble with stairs could have access to everything. The hosts were communicative and kind. While I wasn't there for the walkthrough, we appreciated knowing the details for the property. We had a great week, and loved staying here.

Rahel was a fabulous host and after the madness of New York relaxing by the pool in a quiet residential area only 30 minutes from the City was just what we needed, lots of shops and restaurant only a couple of minutes away and everyone was so friendly and helpful, if we ever venture back to San Francisco I would 100% stay at this propert again

Our family of 7 stayed in this house during a wedding event. The home was beautiful, well-maintained and cozy. First off all the reviews before this one are true, about the owners Rahel and Mulugeta and the condition of the house. Everything worked out well for my mother and family of eight adults. The house was roomy and very comfortable. Be prepared to take your shoes off inside the house , and relax and enjoy your stay in this affordable gem of a home in the Bay Area.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation to California. This house was beautiful, exactly as the pictures showed. We had 6 people traveling so the four bedrooms and 3 full baths were perfect for us. We especially liked having a bedroom and full bath downstairs. Rahel and her husband met us at their home the day we arrived. She even left us a basket of goodies and bottled water in the refrigerator. She also checked on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. She definitely makes her guests feel welcome. The neighborhood was great and was close to several restaurants. We went to Menlo Park and Palo Alro several days and the commute was easy. We will definitely stay at this house again and highly recommend it! Rahel is excellent to work with and she responds very quick to any questions I ever had.

Dated property, not young kid friendly

We stayed for a week with our 5 children. Property manager was super nice and quick to respond. The house photographs well, but in person it was dated, although we still really enjoyed our stay. There was breakable decor everywhere on the main level, so I had to rearrange quite a bit to be comfortable that there were no accidents. There were many features are not available to use, like the 3 fireplaces, or all of the plates/cups in the hutch, or half of the front door. My recommendation is to not display items that cannot be used. The neighborhood was nice and quiet! Overall the house was fine, once I got over the initial disappointment of the photos vs. reality. Would stay there again if the price were to go down, I don’t think it’s worth its value.

We found Rahel’s house very beautiful and clean inside and outside, exactly as pictured and as described by many reviewers. The outside was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the gazebo by the pool and the fire pit. The inside is spacious and well-furnished. All beds were well made and comfortable. The master bedroom was especially spacious with large walk-in closet and bathroom. One bedroom and bath is downstairs, which is convenient for someone who doesn’t want to go upstairs. Rahel is one of the nicest persons you will meet. She welcomed us upon arrival and showed us the house. She had a gift basket for us with chips, cookies and bottled water, etc. That was nice. The neighborhood is great and convenient for everything you want. It is close to highways and plenty of shops, groceries and restaurants, all within about a mile radius... My first mention must be about Rahel. Rachel is the nicest person I have dealt with in some time. While be a professional, she manages to project warmth and an extremely welcoming demeanor. She is a solid gold person and welcomed us with open arms. She met everyone in our family last week and was a charmer to the kids. I know this has little to do with the home but first impressions are significant. We were welcomed, accommodated, assisted and made to feel like the home was our own. Rahel is the landlord from heaven. The home is pretty much as it appears in the photos. It is beautiful and spacious. Everything was clean and neat. The inside is impeccable and the outside well-maintained. Our family from several states were all so impressed! The house location is pretty convenient as well. There is anything you need within minutes. We traveled all over the region from San Francisco to San Jose to Santa Cruz, Livermore, Dublin and Pleasanton. The house was geographically convenient. The BART station is close and BART takes you to Downtown SF for $12. Our was a perfect stay. Look at the other choices out there and you will see that this home is a great option. I am more than satisfied with our choice and would come back without a second thought. Bb

Clean & Cozy

My wife & I stayed here for a week. Rahel (who we thought we would be meeting but unfortunately never did) was very nice to get us some roses & a gift basket before our arrival. We never got to thank her in person but her husband was there to receive it. Not a big deal or a problem, but it would have been nice to know that they are both hosting as I was surprised to hear a male answer the phone & door. He was courteous, just took us by surprise a bit. The kitchen has way more cookware than most rentals we’ve stayed in. Very comfy master bed. Some water in the fridge was nice. No salt though, but there was pepper. Hosts were very accommodating to requests & went out of their way to be helpful/thoughtful. We weren’t expecting a tour when we arrived but we got one. Guy was very nice but it was more thorough than we preferred because part of the fun for us when staying at rentals is looking through it & finding things ourselves but the host seemed to have good intentions. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn’t use the fireplaces as there was no tools/wood. There were only 3 face towels (relatively minor inconvenience , more of a note to the hosts) so we definitely needed to wash. Neighborhood is safe, peaceful & beautiful. A great location away from big cities/attractions, but not too far.

Lovely Owners but property below standard.

Having just returned from our weeks stay in this property, my family and I were very disappointed in its appearance. What we found was quite different from the photographs on Homeaway, which were obviously taken some time ago. In short this house is in need of painting and a good clean. There were cobwebs, grubby curtains and stained pelmets in the master bedroom/bathroom, blinds which did not close correctly and the blind in the family room has slats missing. There was no gas in the fire pit for first night. Although this was quickly rectified following a text message the following day, it’s the kind of detail you expect not be overlooked when booking an ‘Executive Villa’. The pool and hot tub were lovely however it did not appear that the twice a week pool maintenance was carried out as stated by the owners. Having stayed in a number of Executive Villas over the years, when we have vacationed in the USA, this home is way below that standard in our opinion. Grubby white carpets, trip hazards of multiple rugs everywhere, master bathroom lock sellotaped together, broken bathroom floor tiles taped together, undressed double beds in two of the rooms we used are a few examples that have influenced this opinion. We met the owners upon arrival and they are a lovely couple. The welcome pack they provided was much appreciated after our long drive from LA.

Beautiful, spacious house

My family and friends stayed here for a week and we absolutely loved the house. The host came out to meet us and show us around and he was very friendly. The house is very clean, plenty of space for all of us (8 in total) and the pool and jacuzzi were great for kids. Location was convenient for shops restaurants and highways. I am stay-home mom married to a wonderful husband who is executive in the tech industry. I am relatively new to these sites but I have been managing our rental properties for a while. Why they chose this property

This is a BEAUTIFUL home inside and outside. Clean, spacious, safe, and convenient for a comfortable stay. Relaxing backyard with private pool, spa, and gazebo with fire pit. It has central AC for summer and central heating system for winter. Ideal for spending some quality time relaxing and/or maybe doing some BBQ using our large grill. We are centrally located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with easy access to freeways and public transport to nearby cities, businesses, and attractions. Originally built model home, this house has everything one can ask for in a vacation home. The house has 1 Cal King bed, 3 Queen size beds, 2 twin size beds, 1 Queen size sofa bed, 1 folding twin bed, and 1 folding twin mattress. Sleeps up to 10 people.
