About Tim Brown

Tim and Lori Brown and their two sons, Tanner and Parker have lived in the Kerrville area for over 35 years. Both boys were baptised in the Guadalupe River and their ties to the river and the hills around it run deep.

Tim Brown purchased this house in 2013

Why Tim Brown chose Center Point

There are very few places on the Guadalupe with views and access like those of Rio Bajo.

What makes this house unique

There are easy "put in" and "take out" areas both upstream and downstream of the house for kayaks and tube adventures.

Very nice home.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice big home. Big bedrooms, well appointed, great views from the back patio.

Not much water flowing late July. We really just used it as a place to sleep people for a family reunion. The Owners left ice cream and sodas for floats. Not sure if that is typical or just because the water level was low, but nice touch. Would definitely rent again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review our home. Your comment about river levels in late July are misinformation, however. River levels have nothing to do with time of year and everything to do with rainfall. In case you haven't been paying attention the entire state of Texas and most of the western U.S. are in severe drought ( see CO, NM, AZ CA wildfires ). The Frio at Concan, The Medina in Bandera, and the Guadalupe in Gruene are all closed to tubing do to low river levels. When you book a ski trip and get there to find no snow, some resorts provide Fake Snow for the skiers. Since no one has been able to make Fake Rain, we are left with depending on Mother Nature and that is totally out of our control. And FYI, we provide a welcome gift to all of our guests, whether the river is in flood stage, drought stage, and all levels in between.

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had such an awesome time at the Rio Bajo riverfront home this past weekend. This home was more than we expected...everything was provided from the linens, towels, dishes to coffee, games, and all the extras in bathrooms and bedrooms. The hot tub is an added form of relaxation. The river was a little low in some parts, but we walked a short distance and found plenty of water. We enjoyed every bit of our short get away from the city life and will definitely be back!!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. We try very hard to provide everything imaginable to make your stay with us comfortable and stress free. As for the Guadalupe River flow it has dropped considerably in the past week. Unfortunately the Texas Hill Country hasn't received a spring-charging type rainfall in 15 months and everyone is suffering. The Frio at Concan is closed and Gruene and New Braunfalls are barely running. Pray for Rain!!!!

Well-maintained property.

This was our second stay at Rio Bajo. My family really loves the house. The sun room and back deck have a great view of the river and the surrounding hills, just beautiful.

We will visit again.

Rio Bajo

  • 5 of 5

This property was exactly what our family was looking for - close to the attractions (and wedding venue) that we wanted to see as well as a vacation spot in its own right. We enjoyed our day trips but the property provided its own entertainment.
