The Lodge sleeps 26 comfortably, is handicap friendly on the main floor, and is complete with a gourmet kitchen, coffee bar, large great room with ample seating, a study with printer/scanner and free wireless internet, huge back deck with a covered hanging daybed & 6 person Hot Tub & Fire Pit table, glassed in 4 season sun room, cozy loft area with board games and puzzles, 5 Master Bedroom Suites with towel warmers, plus 2 large bunk rooms, pool table, table tennis, rowing machine, and the best home theater available with a 150 inch screen and a top of the line Cine-wide projector which shows movies as they are intended to be seen in the movie theaters with 9.2 surround sound. All 10 Sony smart TVs are equipped to accept streaming from Android, Apple, or Windows devices!

All bed mattresses are custom made exclusively for guests of Logan Creek Lodge so you will sleep dreamily while getting away from it all.

The Lodge is located right next door to one of the finest restaurants in the area - Mica's restaurant, and due to it's location in Sapphire Valley Resort, the following INCREDIBLE activities are within WALKING distance from the Lodge: extensive kids playground, activity field, quarter mile track, Horsepasture river, walking trail with exercise stations, 3 swimming pools (one is open year round), rec center with fitness room and kids activity rooms, miniature golf, picnic tables, horseshoes, Gem mining, the Community center with meeting rooms, AND the Ski slope in the winter and the Vordach Zip Line year round! Most of these activities cost only $2 per day per 14 years old guests to enjoy. These other activities are within half a mile of the Lodge: Tennis courts, Par 3 golf, and a golf driving range. Just a few miles away is the Sapphire National Golf course, Ingles grocery store (with Starbucks!), boating and fishing at Fairfield Lake, and shopping in downtown Cashiers.

Tucked away quietly in the Southwest corner of North Carolina, the quaint village of Cashiers is one of the state’s most charming places and most popular travel destinations. Cashiers (pronounced CASH-ers) is one of those delightful places that defies tradition by offering a wide variety of interesting things to see and do. Surrounded by towering, picturesque mountains, it’s a clean, friendly town that is rich in history and heritage, legends and lore. Thankfully missing in this off the-beaten-path locale are crowds, flashing neon signs and honky-tonks, for this is a family oriented hideaway with old-school values.

Recreational amenities are numerous and include such outdoor activities as golf, tennis, horseback riding, boating, rafting, fishing, swimming, hiking and cycling. Other opportunities for fun include a long list of festivals, concerts and arts and crafts shows. And due to the discriminating tastes of residents and visitors, you will be delightfully surprised by the abundance and variety of restaurants in town.

At an elevation of 3,485 feet, the small town anchors the surrounding area of Lake Glenville, Sapphire and Lake Toxaway. Panthertown Valley is a 6,700 acre piece of hiking heaven in the Nantahala National Forest, and is located adjacent to the Cashiers/Highlands Plateau. It has been nicknamed “The Yosemite of the East” and is home to granite domes, waterfalls, valley floors and rare high altitude bogs. This area is known nationally as the “Land of Waterfalls” because of the 19 falls that are scattered throughout the rugged mountain terrain. The granddaddy of them all is Whitewater, which features a drop of 411 feet and has hiking trails to the bottom.

Located just 13 miles from Cashiers is the idyllic town of Highlands While visiting Highlands, “don’t miss” venues are the Highlands Playhouse and the Bascom Art Center. The Bascom provides audiences of all ages with stimulating exhibitions, studio art instruction, and diverse cultural experiences.

There are plenty of activities for children, teenagers, and adults alike who may all look for different experiences while enjoying creating lifelong memories with family and friends. This is also a perfect location for church (20% discount) or corporate retreats, family reunions, anniversaries, special birthday vacations, or any type events where everyone wants to stay in one place. Due to the close proximity to Lonesome Valley, this is also an ideal place for wedding parties.

About Danny Walker

My wife and I and our 4 children (now grown) have traveled to many locations and vacationed in several large homes with our extended family of 20+. We felt led to build a vacation home for our own growing family and want to share the experience with other families and groups who want to make memories for a lifetime.

Our home is in Anderson, SC, which is only 1 and 1/2 hours from the Lodge. We are always available by text, phone or email and can be on site if needed for specific issues.

Danny Walker purchased this lodge in 2016

Why Danny Walker chose Sapphire

As we vacationed with our own children, we tried to make sure that each family member got to experience their "10," which was the "one thing" they wanted to do during the vacation. This seemed to work well, as our children learned to share different experiences that their siblings enjoyed.

We have also found that some of us enjoy chilling out - reading, crocheting, puzzles, board games, TV or movies, etc., and others in our family desire to go a mile a minute, trying to fill every moment with some type of outdoor activity.

This place offers it all for each person to enjoy just about every activity or no activity - the perfect place for a family vacation for a large group of people.

A Perfect Family Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 17 spent a whole week at Logan Creek Lodge. It was an overall unbelievable experience. There was so much space to relax & enjoy each other inside and outside. The views are amazing and everything in the house was thought out to make it feel like a home away from home. The kids spent a lot of time playing ping-pong and enjoyed having a space to play inside. Every room is beautiful and comfortable. We went for many walks at the attaching "River Walk" and we enjoyed the short walk to the ski hill and playground/indoor pool/mini golf/arcade. It was a perfect place to spend good quality time with family and friends! Danny was also a fabulous host and answered any questions we had very quickly and was always very helpful! We loved our time at Logan Creek Lodge and hope to return again!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

The memories we made with our family this week were a direct result of staying here. The kids loved the movie theater room, the gem mining at the rec center (we had to go every day), the playground walking distance away and the bunk bed rooms. The adults appreciated the spaciousness and overall relaxing/comfortable feel of the lodge. It's big, but it's cozy and there's lot of things to do.

Suggestion for those staying here: Gem mining for the kids. Buck's Coffee for coffee/breakfast. Micah's for lunch/dinner (walking distance). FootGolf for anyone 5 or older (walking distance). The Highlands to walk around town and eat lunch/dinner. Grocery shopping at Ingles as this lodge is a great place to cook and enjoy a meal at the big dining room table.

It was a trip we'll never forget. Thank you.

Excellent House!

  • 5 of 5

We had eleven adults for a three day weekend in this spacious, lovely home. The hot tub is wonderful, beds are very comfortable and having seven bedrooms each with private bath was perfect for our group. We enjoyed the home theater, ping pong, and pool tables and the large dining room table was big enough for us all. Kitchen is well stocked and there is lots of room for cooking and gathering. The great room fireplace is beautiful as is the back deck with the fire pit. House was very clean, linens very nice and owner very attentive and easy to contact. You will lack for nothing in this wonderful home and the resort activities are fun. Our group enjoyed walks on the property, mini golf, and the par three golf course that even had rental clubs. Very quick drive to a nice grocery store in Cashiers and less than 30 minutes to Higlands. This is a lovely area and this was a fantastic home for us to gather in with friends!

Very Impressive

  • 5 of 5

I was part of a group of friends staying at Logan Creek Lodge. The accommodations were very comfortable. The attention to detail in the decor was very impressive. We enjoyed having a fully furnished kitchen and plenty of room for dining. In the evenings we watched movies in the theater room, played pool and ping pong, as well as gathered around the huge fireplace. It was very easy to find a cozy nook to read a book. During the day we enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this beautiful lodge for family reunions and groups of friends.

The perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Logan Creek Lodge from 8/20 - 8/26 for our annual motorcycle trip and the total solar eclipse. We had six couples that stayed there, and there was so much room we almost had to text each other to see what room they were in! It's a beautiful lodge with very nice accommodations and plenty of parking space. The back deck with hot tub and fire pit was awesome. We also used the huge grill to cookout. The game room downstairs and movie theatre was an incredible place to hang out. An additional benefit to staying at Logan Creek is the resort property and all of its amenities. We would definitely go back should the opportunity arise! - Sid
