Why Robert Pierson chose Sunset
We were looking for a quiet get-a-way, but also a special place where we could take advantage of all of the incredible activities this area has to offer. We fell in love with the beauty of Lake Keowee and decided to build here so we could enjoy boating on over 360 miles of shoreline.
What makes this Cottage unique
We are in close proximity to not only Lake Keowee, but also Lake Jocassee. Our home has two docks; one covered dock to store your boat and one open dock for sunbathing. Our home is in the midst of multiple national, state, and county parks. The quiet cove is a great place for children to swim out of the way of boat traffic.

Loved every bit of our experience at the cabin!
The cabin had everything that we needed. One of our favorite parts of the trip was being able to take the kayaks into the lake, even in this cold weather. The only thing to point out is that there is NO WiFi at the cabin but that wasn’t a big issue for us. Overall, two thumbs up!
Our family enjoyed our stay! The den area with tv was perfect on Saturday night to watch the other games after we got back from our game.
Great getaway for a family wedding
We were in the area for a family wedding and were looking for something different than the traditional hotel stay where our family could spend quality time together. This was a beautiful home with plenty of room to allow family time as well as areas to spread out if we wanted. The views are breathtaking. Quiet time on the patio enjoying the lake views was priceless!
Great place to spend a Clemson Football weekend
This was a great house to stay in for a Clemson football game. Just around 30 minutes from the stadium and not much traffic getting in and out of the game. The house was beautiful and very well equipped. I highly recommend staying here even if you just want a getaway for the weekend or even spend a week here.
Gorgeous and private
We had a wonderful stay...the home was beautiful and had everything needed to be comfortable and was nice and clean. We spent a lot of time on the doc...wish there was a beach area for the kids to play but overall we had a wonderful stay and would stay again!
Breath of Fresh Air
Staying at this house was the best decision my husband and I did for the 2017 Total Eclipse. This house is charming and rustic. We loved the opened floor plan and super easy to cook in. The beds were like sleeping on clouds, which we looked forward to after paddling on the lake. It was a wonderful experience and highly recommend the stay. I do suggest them adding in wine glasses to their cabinets or you can stop by Victoria Valley Vineyards for a tasting and their glasses are complimentary just 20 minutes away.
We are a waterfront property; just steps away from Lake Keowee on a private cove. The lake provides the perfect setting for any water sport you can dream of. kayaks available for guest use. Use the kayak to catch "the big one" while lake fishing or fly-fish one of the nearby rivers. Visit Whitewater Falls, the tallest waterfall east of the Rockies. It is 411 ft. Tall - simply breathtaking and only a 20 min drive away! There are over 60 additional waterfall hikes within a 1 hour radius. Day trips to the Biltmore Estate are a once in a lifetime experience, taking you along the magnificent Blue Ridge Parkway and through Carolina wine country. For the adventure seeker, world class whitewater rafting nearby on the Chattooga and Ocoee Rivers. Family friendly adventure awaits at the Chattooga Adventure Center; try ziplining, paddleboarding, or whitewater kayaking! Stay here and have it your way -- fill your days with fun activities or relax and unwind in our beautiful cabin.
