Why Robert Pierson chose Sunset
We were looking for a quiet get-a-way, but also a special place where we could take advantage of all of the incredible activities this area has to offer. We fell in love with the beauty of Lake Keowee and decided to build here so we could enjoy boating on over 360 miles of shoreline.
What makes this Cottage unique
We are in close proximity to not only Lake Keowee, but also Lake Jocassee. Our home has two docks; one covered dock to store your boat and one open dock for sunbathing. Our home is in the midst of multiple national, state, and county parks. The quiet cove is a great place for children to swim out of the way of boat traffic.

Great place but with room for improvement
We had a great time at the property. We were a group of 9 family members. Nice lake and great having access to the kayaks. Also had spacious sofa and great kitchen and bathrooms. We also made good use of the lower level outside patio.
But whole house needs serious vacuuming. There was A LOT of dust bunnies on any area that was not open access, especially on the bottom floor. There were also big spider webs on the inside of some windows. This again on the bottom floor. Oven was also pretty dirty to the point that I had to clean it before using.
Another issue found was with the TV settings as the top and bottom floor somehow affected each other. We never took the time to figure it out though.
Owners were very attentive when I had a question of where to find something. We would like to return, but not sure that we will for these reasons. Hope this information helps out.
Nice quite cove
The property and location are wonderful.
My family enjoyed a wonderful Clemson homecoming weekend in this house. It was a great way to combine easy access to Clemson and spend a weekend in the mountains. I highly recommend this property if your family is looking to get away. The home is tucked in a great cove. Even though it was mid-October, we enjoyed the using the kayaks and the kids were able to swim.
Great location on the lake - close to Clemson , Devils Fork, and Table Rock
Secluded, quiet, beautiful woods
Relaxing Lake Retreat in ideal location
We recently stayed here with our kids 8/6/2 and it was an absolute blast. the kids were on the kayaks and paddleboat every morning and the protected cove was perfect. we brought our boat so the dock was great. quiet serene setting just a quick (5-10 min) boat ride to jumping rock, waterfalls and island beaches. The house was a great size and layout for 2 families with several kids. plenty of room. we grilled out on the patio and ate on the dock and enjoyed sunset cruises by boat. Would HIGHLY recommend this house for the price and location it cant be beat!
Beautiful cove !
We had a great time staying at this home! It had plenty of room for everyone, and two docks. The the cove was quiet and absolutely beautiful. Kitchen and home were well equipped and had a second refridgerator downstairs.
