Property exceeded expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with renovations and decor improvements that were not on the listing photos. Being right on the marsh was a perk we did not appreciate until we arrived. So fun to kayak. Golf carts in working order, very nice to have beach chairs. Kitchen fully stocked. BHI has many public access sites to the beach with ample golf cart parking. One suggestion for improvement- the primary bedroom has a due west facing sliding glass door and the curtains do not filter sun. It was bright as noon at 6:45am. Black out curtains would be lovely.We would love to return someday, thank you!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Marsh Mellow. The space was large enough to accommodate our family of six but small enough that we didn’t feel separated. The view of the marsh was incredible and the proximity to the launch ramp as well as the pool were great. We took full use of the kayaks, beach chairs, and golf carts. The condo itself was beautifully decorated and stocked with all off the necessities. We have visited BHI multiple times and always wanted to stay in the Timbercreek condos-so glad we did!!

Wonderful trip!

We had the best family vacation at BHI staying at Marsh Mellow. There was a beautiful view of the marsh, a great breeze, and easy access to the docks. The house was fully stocked, clean and updated. We were impressed by the folks at iTrip for being so accessible and communicative — and so easy via text! We didn’t have any issues but they were very responsive to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. We will definitely be using iTrip again and loved Marsh Mellow!

Perfect BHI Vacay!!

Our stay at Marshmellow was perfect in every way. This unit has one of the best views of the spectacular marsh and creek side of Bald Head. The unit is comfortable and the porch is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon drinks and dinner. The pool is divine after a day at one of the many close by beaches. Can’t wait to come back here soon!

Cozy, Clean and Coastal Views

Marsh Mellow was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Sunrise views on the Marsh were incredible. It was so nice to enjoy a stroll along the sea wall boardwalk and kayak on the marsh. Our experience with iTrip was 5 star and they were so helpful in booking our stay and helping us along the way! We will for sure be using them for our future stays.

Best view on the Island!

The bathrooms are old. The golf cart was very old. There was not enough towels and they seemed old. The bunk beds had stained bedding. Needs freshened up

Lovely place

Marsh Mellow was a lovely place to stay! The view was absolutely beautiful. We spent the majority of our time out on the screen porch. The kitchen had everything we needed. The golf carts were in good shape and ran well. The condo could use a good deep cleaning, but overall the decor is very nice. We were bummed that the pool was closed, I know the fine print said it was a possibility, but we figured mid September in eastern NC would warrant the pool still being open. I’m also confused about who the condo was booked through? I went through my VRBO account, but all communication came from Itripp, including a message saying I could have saved money by booking directly through them? I didn’t think VRBO did third party, but it would have been nice to save some. Overall, GREAT place, would definitely stay there again!

Marsh Mellow a disappointment

We loved staying on Bald Head Isalnd and the property was very conveniently located. The beaches were beautiful. Lots of choices for food and anything else you might need. The condo furnishings were great, the kitchen well stocked, and the amenities were amazing (two golf carts!, kayaks, beach chairs). Unfortunately there were several aspects that made our stay less than stellar. The first thing that greeted us was a stained rug in the hall. The bathroom showers were moldy all along the bottom and in corners. And for all the hype about the water views and dock just off the condo, the sea wall was under construction so there was no access to the dock and a large construction barge was tied up at the neighboring dock so our views of the marsh were obstructed. Now I understand that maintenance is necessary and I probably wouldn’t have been as irritated if someone would have mentioned it before we checked in. I finally found the “Welcome Book” on the third day of our stay. It was under other books on one of the bookshelves. Overall, the property was a disappointment. I would definitely stay on Bald Head Island again but not at this property.

Great location and everything was lovely. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen and garage, as far as the kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Beautiful sunrise from the porch! They were very easy to deal with and quick to respond when we locked ourselves out! Would definitely stay here again!

Tasty stay at Marsh Mellow

We think we hit our favorite rental property ever in MarshMellow. Located on the marsh with incredible views of the water and spartina, the unit is as described and then some. The kitchen has everything you'll ever need, there is more than enough beach equipment, and the kayaks are top-notch. We love BHI, and as the location is perfect for our interests, we will most certainly be back!

Bald Head Island Fun

Had a wonderful time visiting one of our family favorite vacation spots. We had our 8 year old granddaughter and 14 month grandson. Lots of beaching, swimming, shopping, crabbing and beach walks. The ferry rides on and off the island are just part of the fun. Golf carting everywhere while leaving the car on the mainland is just one of the charming things about this special place. Hope to be back this fall.

Amazing Sunrises

You can sit on the porch in a comfortable, chair and watch the sunrise over the water as you sip coffee while the ceiling fans above whisper cool air. It was very relaxing along with the colors of the place. The kitchen was incredibly stocked with spices and pots/pans/appliances/etc. Golf carts were good, fabulous place!
